Smyrna High will once again host it's annual DAWG Pound on January 5th. The following teams are committed to attending this year. We have space for 4 more teams if you are interested please contact Coach Gonyea @ markgonyea@bellsouth.net

I would like to publicly apologize to our football team for creating the "Hit Squad" and "ShowTime" posters. My intention was to promote our team, not create fodder for the opposing team. Our young men are a great group of guys who deserve a lot of respect for how hard they have fought this season. Before any Maryville fans get on here and say "Well are you saying we haven't fought hard?", I don't know what you have done, I haven't seen all your games. This post is in no way disrespecting your team's accomplishments. Obviously Maryville has worked hard this season... otherwise, they wouldn't be in the title game..... Just let the boys play football and don't BASH them...

I understand that. I guess I'm just sitting here thinking what it would have taken to keep me off the field for the title game my Sr. year.
Maybe the fact that if he does play, he'll never get use of the hand again... His future is bright... Trust me, it's killing him to not play.

Those are really good pics. Now if you could just get one where at the end of a Smyrna victory, all of the players who haven't played a bit, run across the field and flip off the other team's fans. That would be special! haha
