Yes I attended. I was too busy watching Jeremy’s poor body language. He plays the victim on poor calls. Just makes me miss legendary CMB even more

A lot of shade on here for the only coach in Bearden history that won a state championship. Also had a game plan that the number two player in the 2020 NBA draft with arguably the biggest cheating coach in Memphis high school basketball history.

  2. Congratulations to Coach Parrott and the Bearden Bulldogs! I saw this team play earlier in the year and a couple of times the past few weeks. This is a much better team now as compared to earlier in the year and they are only going to get better. Who knows what they can do in Murfreesboro but with the youth of the team, this thread could go on for a while.

Good luck to you all at State.

  3. Bearden is gaining an excellent coach. Coach Parrott has been able do great things with much less talent than he will have at Bearden. In 2012 when he took the Chiefs to the state tournament Cherokee was the smallest school in the state in the AAA division. He is also a great man. I'm proud to call him a friend , sad to see him leave but I am excited to see what success he will have there. You won't be disappointed. No one will work harder than him. I'm always a Chief first but I'll root for him and the Bulldogs!

  4. About this game. I've seen both play Cherokee. SD scored a TD with 3 seconds on the clock. We ultimately didn't have enough quickness to match SD.

We didn't have enough depth to play with AC. we never stopped AC on a drive that had #43 running the ball. We drove the ball with power and passing. SD won't. They'll use their quickness and I think AC can handle it.

I think AC wins by 28 if Fox is 100%. If he's 75% AC wins by 7. Less than that and SD wins. I know injuries better than I know football and that looked like a potential bad ankle sprain.

  5. I enjoyed the game tonight when we made a game of it. Too much of your OL and Fox for us to contend for 4 quarters. I loved your PA announcer. Good luck next week against South Doyle. I did question why Fox played any at the end of the game (the last 6 minutes) while being injured. Your coach had nothing to gain at that point but if he'd got hurt again you had a lot to lose. I hope he has a speedy recovery and you're at full strength next week.

  6. Me too. One did respond at least it appears he was cherokee fan.

A little about the Chiefs; they are mainly a running team with the ability to throw. A quick back in Teagan Trent. A load of a back in Evan McCracken with decent speed as well. The starting QB Gibson didn't start the last 3 games due to an injury but he did play in the last game. Defense; good group of linebackers. Testerman is the free safety and he is the best I've seen in HS football around here. He is a walking highlight reel of big hits.

We outplayed Mo East and got beat on a long TD with seconds left.

Got beat by Boone in the last minute.

South Doyle went ahead with 3 seconds left.

S.South had a catch called a TD that wasn't caught. You may still be able to see it on WCYB tv website from week zero.

Sevier was just too good for us.

  7. When I heard the score I figured that SH would have had1000 yards offense but they didn't. They had 644. You can't ask kids to lay down after they are ahead by a lot. Winning programs have a killer mentality. Their 2nd and 3rd teams are better because they compete against better players. This is why their basketball teams are so good too. Cherokee has been on the receiving end of one sided games too but I have a lot of respect for SH.

The West offense didn't show up until the 4th quarter. You have to give Cherokee some credit, but 3 fumbles inside your own 35 should have beaten anybody. Great comeback win for the Trojans, but if they spot someone 14 points again their season will be over.

You're right about the turnovers. It was a great game though. I'd like to know how much total offense Ty Ryan's had tonight.

    Good luck next week.

  9. I just wanted to comment on the Jeff Co vs Cherokee game from last night. That was one of the most exciting and well played games I have ever seen. Jeff Co had tough, physical, running backs, and they made plays at the end of the game when they had to to win. The Chief defense is getting better every week and lat night was no exception, great job! Now on to what I think is hands down IMAC 2012 player of the year, Ty Ryans. He has continued to amass large statistical numbers this year while rarely having a solid pocket to pass out of. He has definitely not done it by himself but he has done it consistently both passing and in the case of last night, running too. I feel sure if we could have had 2 more minutes last night it could have been a Chief victory. If there were 4 minutes the outcome would have been the same. Great game to both squads and good luck the rest of the way.
