Blodgett (#21) seems to be playing mostly OLB on defense, and Garrison Padgett (#11) is playing TE. Padgett is a big strong kid with good potential.

Looking forward to a good game tonight between two 8AA rivals. LA is due, but Upperman has been playing lights out. Neither team should worry about the Chattanooga teams until this one is over.

I look for LA to improve greatly over the course of the season. The team is very young. Eldridge is good and improving, but he will only have help from two seniors, Nivens and Maynard. Help will come from Qualls, Crowder, Hollars, and Gore. Not sure how, but I expect to see a much better team around tournament time.

Howell from DC is a real player and anyone from Hog Eye will readily admitt it. DC had a great season, sorry it had to end tonight. LA does move on to represent 8AA and that is a significant charge. Congrats to McCoin for his 1000 point! McMinn has a great team, but BRizz will not be denied!
Go Wildcats!

I heard that Lipscomb was a solid team, with good size and a deep bench. I haven't seen South Cumberland this year, but they traditionally have a strong program. Livingston always has potential and it looks like from their record that Grace Christian has had a great year.

Grace Christian and Goodpasture play on the 11th. See attached link: http://www.rcstn.net/tnt/files/3a_boys.pdf So far only Lipscomb and Rickman and Livingston and Jackson Christian have played with Lipscomb and Livingston moving forward. Any input on the remaining teams would be appreciated:
St Henry
Lipscomb
Livingston
Sacred Heart
Meigs
Jasper
Tellico Plains
Grace Christian
Goodpasture
South Cumberland

I got a 12U grade exception kid looking for a team in the Upper Cumberlands. He played 13U last year and could play 14U this year, but I would like to see if other options exist. He plays postions 3 and 4 with good speed and hop. He could use more fundamentals. Just under 6 ft tall, and approximately 145 lbs.

Now, now Big Daddy, don't give our CHS friends too much grief (but I do love the spirit). They have a good ball team this year. Even though they only met in a jamboree game last year I think the CHS faithful would let you know that every once in a while even a blind sow will find an acorn. I thought little ole LA did very well against one of the bigger schools and football programs in the state last year, starters against starters. And the Upperman folks will probably all agree that jamboree games only give you an idea when you look at starters versus starters, thinking about this year. Now my hat goes off to CAK last week as they thumped LA and held us scoreless until they called off the dogs. I expect a good game atmosphere in Cookeville and I just pray both teams stay healthy and improve going forward.
