That is really well said sounds a lot like my earlier post
"Also, you need to check the TSSAA handbook yourself the rules are all about establishing a high school athletic record then having a valid "change of address". I assume the Bearden coach and AD did their homework so there shouldn't be a problem"
Also, you see that I mentioned that all of Bearden's players affairs are in order and there shouldn't be a problem, so not sure what you are hinting at about Farragut and implications you are making about the eligibility of a high school girl. To me that is the person who is taking girls basketball a little too serious. But hey we all know who you are bballdad4lyfe aka 3ball4ever aka Father of a Sophomore Guard at Bearden so I'm sure you have made a lot of friends with your previous posts in this and other topics.
Knoxbball88,
I sent you and email out of respect but obviously you didnt read it. I'm all for competitive fun and school rival games esp. when these girls are all friends and have grown up together throught the entire 4AAA district but when you mention my family in the wrong way, I have a problem. So to you and your friends on here, I'm not 3ball4ever so direct your opinions to that person and keep my darn name out of your post. And BTW, I know that Bearden and Farragut are in the same district and that they are both Knox County schools!!!!

Bearden's best player is Jai Jai who has been an All District type player since her Soph. year. Im not sure about their having any young talent. They were young last year, but still didn't win much..they are very size challenged.
Catholic always seems to have some great new group of freshman...it was Bianca Andre/Erin Walsh...then it was the Twins..now its they other twins and the Scott girl...lets see if it gets them better than 8th in the district for the 3rd Straight year..more so if you can their time in District 4 AA.
It will be interesting to see how LC seniors respond to their 3rd coach in 4 years.
Looks like rebuilding year at Farragut
Maryville will be hard to handle with Maples and Singleton.
Bearden probably has two of the best Sophmores in the area in Lexus Norwood and Erin Walsh. I watched these girls play in the summer camps this as well as the Fall Leagues and they can flat out play. I agree with the earlier comments , with the addittion of Jai Jai, they will be the sleeper this year Catholic will play hard ever game so you never know what to expect. As far as Maryville, with Singelton coming off a double shoulder surgery, it will be hard to know what to to expect, but if she is healthy teams better look at with that combination

Here are some that I saw represent the class of 2014 :
Lexus Norwood- Bearden
Erin Walsh - Bearden
Tyler Carter- Bearden
Jordan Johnson- Heritage
Leila Banglash- Maryville
-
Walsh is #12. The #24 is the Norwood girl. They both are Freshman
-
Is #24 the Walsh girl? If so you are right she is pretty good, I heard about Bearden having a good young guard named Walsh who is a good 3pt shooter and defender. My friend coaches boys in that league and girls Aau and he talks a lot about the Walsh girl you mentioned and another freshman post named carter or canter who are the future over there along with the Jr point guard. Seems like those 3 could be a good young nucleus.

Very Nice Summary
As far as the Freshman, How many Play serious minutes on Varsity
(Please correct if I am wrong) I am not sure which is best
Maryville= 1
Heritage= 3
WB=
LC=
Bearden= 1
West=
Farragut=
Catholic= 1
I saw the Bearden Freshman point guard #24 play against us. She scored 22 in JV and turned around and scored 14 in Varsity. She shoots the jumper well, drives to basket and plays good defense. I overheard some people making comments that she averages about 12 points but only plays about two quarters , due to the coach trying to satisfy other players. She is one of the many freshamn in our district that deserves more minutes due to talent. She will one to watch over the next few years

1 MARYVILLE 2 WILLIAM BLOUNT 3 FARRAGUT 4 WEST 5 L.C. 6 BEARDEN 7 CATHOLIC 8 HERITAGE
Any updates that now that we are in second half of season. POY, Best Freshman, Coach of Year, worst coach etc.
-
Does anyone know the schedule?
-
I watched some of these girls in the Fall League and saw some young talent as well as some familiar faces. Bearden's McClaughlin, LC Powers, Catholic's Andre. But I noticed some new talent, Beardem has a freshman point guard that can be a force and Farragut had a shooting guard that can light it up.
What players should we watch for?
-
Which teams and players stand out. Early POY and Best newcomer?
-
Yeah I figured she would do well but I also heard her backup is a Freshman that plays defense and can score also. It might help to play them together based upon your posts earlier.
-
WOW....guess it will be a long season in the Dawg House....any bright spots!!!
-
How did Bearden look in Lenoir City and @ Webb camp. I heard they have some impressive Freshman that get after it.
-
Wow, thats different. Will he keep the assistants that are there. What type of season do you predict they will have?
-
I dont know much about him as a coach. Is this a good or bad decision considering he hasnt coached in years. Were the applicants that bad?
-
OK, I dont much about them, is that an upgrade to their program. I watched Bearden play a couple of times last year and think they need a " great" coach to bring some excitment like the boys coach
-
Does anyone know who the considerations are for the new coach?
District 4-AAA
in Girls Basketball

I'm not sure we can compare any team in this district to the their respective teams last year because I think( correct me if I'm wrong)each team lost significant players. Im not sure what you mean by the approach the team has taken and the lack of discipline and conditoning. I have seen these girls work hard in the weight room and condition in the summer for this season as well as work hard in the classroom. I think the focus on the off season conditioning has helped them become 10-1, beating teams like Cleveland, Alcoa, Meigs County, and Alcoa with nice margins as well going 4-0 against the teams in our tough district. Everyone can say what they will do next time they play a team, but this is why we play the game as well as play each other twice. You said that we havent been good in awhile but as of 12/18/11, we are at the top and thats an accomplishment that noone can take away from them, so I look forward to the second half of the season playing some other District teams as well the tournament to see who represents us in the Region. I believe we are playing in a good Christmas tournament, so hopefully that will prepare us for the upcoming district games.
Where is everyone playing over the holidays?
