I was being sarcastic, Myers has the teams he deserves, Volunteer does not!

I think people are interested but just slow to get going early on. It is a huge game if Boone is going to take over like they are projected to do. I think Boone has superior players now 1-5 or more and wins easily.
This is our year. As soon as Myers was hired he started working with area rec league and feeder school coaches implementing his system. This is first group of all girls on team to go from rec league to high school learning his system. LOOK OUT BIG 7, HERE WE COME!!!

How will your Falcons be next momofafalcon? Do you have someone to replace the D1 player that you lost?
Hard to tell, if Myers is back next year probably not. If we do get a new coach as rumored maybe some of the girls that won't play for Myers will get out of the bleachers and on the floor. There has been a ton of good players that either quit bball or decided to play another sport during his tenure. That is why so may freshmen on varsity every year.

It amazes me that Volunteer has a legit D1 commit, and they are still THAT horrible.

Why is there very little talk about R1 D1 this year. It seems that SH is clearly the best of the district but nobody really even blowing their horn from there as normally do. It seems as DB and Tn High are about equal and what is the deal with Boone?Heard alot about them before season but they seem to be a disappointment just by looking at standings. Anybody have any thoughts or seen any of the games?
Well we had high hopes when Myers came in. We've gone from bottom of Big Ten to bottom of Big Seven so I guess technically we have moved up three positions.
Not much to get excited or talk about.
Only bright spot since he's been here is post, she will be the best girl bball player in school history to graduate from Volunteer.

Just hire somebody and get it over with is what I'm sure the administration is thinking. But to be honest I don't know who would want to take that job anyway. Is there any familiar names that even Applied.
Don't know much about the boys program, but heard girls coach say when he was hired his main job function was to keep parents out of administrations office. Not a rumor, I actually heard him say it. I am sure you are right about the administrations attitude. I do wish we could get an administration and coaches that were as committed as all the kids are.

Well I guess 3 out of 4 isnt bad. Two were no brainers. I am surprised about the South. Sounds like they got off to a slow start and could not catch up. As for falconmom, congrats! Hope you guys can get another on Friday or Next week and finish at the very least 3rd.
Thanks Tman, don't know whether it will be against D1 or D2 opponent but I think we will get at least one more win.

Hold on a minute here mom. Do you know for a fact that SH spends more time in the gym than the Crockett Co. girls do? Do us all a favor and stick to cheering for your child and stay off the message boards if you're going to post this kind of garbage. Crockett Co. is obviously very inferior in talent than SH is and i get that but this was a classless act by a coach plain and simple. There has been several times this years we (Jackson County) could have scored over a 100 points on a team but our coach has class and knows that it does neither team no good to run up a score like this. We've held atleast 1 team that i know of to 5 points in the 1st half but did not press them and score 75 on them even though we could have. This coach is wrong and so are you for supporting this kind of garbage. You would feel different if little suzy was on the other end of this score i guarantee it!
Believe you me we have our share being beaten by lopsided scores, but little suzy takes it better than little mommy and little daddy.

That sounds good but....
A. The started played up until 3 mins and change left in the 3rd qtr.
B. They pressed the whole first half even after they were up by more than 50 for about 4 mins left in the half.
C. The running clock is a TSSAA rule not SH showing mercy. When your jacking up 3's in the forth qtr to score your 102 point you are running it up.
This is not a player problem. I fault the coach and then ultimately the administration. Players just play the game the way they have been taught or coached to do. Hopefully SH players will win a championship, but playing like that or being coached to play like that against a inferior team is not a championship achievement it's a disgrace and intentional public humiliation of DC and their players.
If University did that then I say shame on them as well.
I would say for every 10 minutes Crockett girls spent in gym off season, SH girls spent 104.
Good players do it on there own, you can't coach what you do not have.
I would venture to say if the SH coaches just sat in the bleachers and just watched it would have been worse.

Well this season's almost over and believe me it has been very hard to keep quite.
Everyone in Falcon Land is so grateful to have such a great athletic director and coaching staff.
I don't think any other group could have taken our entire sports program to a level that a few short years ago we could have only imagined!

Should be an interesting race in the 2nd half in District 1. THS & DB both won holiday tournaments. THS beat a good Siegel team & a good Fulton team as well as destroying a traditional power, albeit down, in Oak Ridge. DB beat some good local teams & appears to be coming together. South & Boone certainly will have some say too.
In District 2, it looks like West is rising, Seymour falling.
All in all, should be fun (unless you're playing SH).
Your right it is fun now. Don't count us out. Lot of us been waitng three years to play as a team to to win instead of playing to score.

I think we'll be pretty good. Played last year without the Snyder girls and Anderson some(hurt). So Lindholm was really only loss. We should be in top 3 if we don't lose anyone before season starts. This is my daughter's last year, she's exicited, says they are much improved and will be playing more team ball. Time will tell.

I would like to see any of the girls high school teams around here win a state champ. Would be a great thing for east tennessee. Would be even better though if it was Boone. Lol. I have gone quite a bit to watch myself but just to see what you think and maybe even tell me a different perspective try to go watch Grays girls play some next year and give me your thoughts. Either way though isnt it great to even be discussing DB girls bball again.
Right there with you BZ, the right coach can do wonders! It is also great to be discussing where VHS is after four years.

No Defense, bad shot selections, collapse under pressure, too many turnovers.
To be no better or probably even worse than we were four years ago is enough.

Was not at the games but SH did what was expected. South must have played a good game. Sorry to the Falcon fans who lost a lot coming down the stretch. What happened? Best first round game tonight with Boone and DB going at it.
The girls got tired of SLS.

5 losses now, looks like we are back to the one man show. hard to play one against 5, stats will show more wins when the team plays together. now if South wins we will be tied for 4th and another coin toss for 4th place in the tournament.
