Eagle I'd jus like to commend all those involved in the turn around the HC team has had this year ! First playoff win since 03 ? Maybe this will spark more interest to the program and get more involved, although a lil bittersweet for me to see our season end it was equally pleasing to see the look on those HC kids faces when they took a group pic in front of the scoreboard,, my team or not it really puts things in perspective when you witness all the past seasons of utter defeat become moments of joy. Hopefully this season will bring a new awakening and excitement to the student athletes and staff at HC.. I know those boys will Enjoy these moments in time and maybe be the beginning of rebirth to the program, well the rebirth has occurred ! Enjoy the moment !

That private school has had a tendency to start slow in a cpl or 3 games,, if the stangs can get it going early they may have a shot, but if not then that private school prolly gunna get the W,,,, I'm for the public school !

HC 7-6 final ! Happy for the HC kids,,, it's been many many yrs since they have beat the Devils, congrats to those guys they played valiantly !! At least we won't have to make a long drive nx week. This JB jus imo regressed since the TC game,,, penalties for things that shouldn't be happening this time of year,,, it's been fun at the Dungeon and we did improve a tad from last yr,,, guess I'll be making some other exciting playoff games in the coming weeks,,, good luck to all !

I hate to say it Watkins but I have to agree with you on this statement. We have shown throughout the year that we have the ability to come out flat, come out fired up, and go between the two throughout the entire game. I don't think we have played a team throughout the season where we haven't gotten down and let our technique and just basic football IQ slip a bit here and there somewhere during the 4 quarters. Its almost like our boys sometimes fear after a score from the opposing team that its over. After CA ran that kick off back against us our sideline was down, and our players as a whole were down. It seemed like after we settled down and actually got to run an offensive series and realized we could move the ball on CA they sort of settled back in and regained confidence. However, as you said with Jo Byrn's experience in games such as these, and with the coaching staff that they have we cant give him the opportunity to drive the final nail in the coffin so to speak. We for once have to compete an entire 4 quarters of football to the best of our potential. I hope that's this Friday night. If so it should make for a very interesting match. I would have to think that combined with the weather predictions if they hold true would have to be in our favor.

Same here bout this JB team ! If the JB team that played TC in the 2nd half and the 1st half against NC then the Devils look sorta like one of the past JB teams,,, we really seem to struggle executing plays sometime due to not having that killer instinct as some of those in the past, last week it seemed to me that the Devils we're jus going thru the motions in the 4th qtr, the will to win wasn't there,,,, depending on which team shows up will depend on who advances is the way I see it

Talmad ur boys played with alot of heart and I know that the Monterey community is very proud to come in to JB and get a win,, your boys played hard and deserved the win ! If JB isn't playing with heart and intensity it will be the first year I ever remember them not. There's one thing you could always count on when playing JB and that's the fact that they were going to give it their all for 4 quarters. Also this HC team is going to come out swinging. I think JB wins this game if they come out and get after it but if they come out flat and no emotion their season may get cut short.

89 I know what you mean bout past teams ! At times we have played with those qualities and getting after it every play,,, the last 2/3 games prior to Monterey were really against not very good competition, don't know if the guys thought Monterey would be the same way but is cost us a loss on sr night, if any motivation is needed I hope the boys in red realize this is their last game at home and come out with a focus and ready to play

Although I'm a homer JB jus bluntly got tired and got whooped in the 4th qtr last week and this week will be no exception,, don't think HC has beaten JB in several yrs and I'm sure those boys remember the 49-0 beat down the Devils delivered last yr,,looks as tho the coach at HC has got those guys finally believing they can win,,JB's intensity level last week was almost non existant and if the same mental and emotional preparedness for this game is lacking then we will get the same result !
