I loved Coach Mathis and he was a very good coach too, but you can definitely tell our kids are getting college level coaching this season. Which everyone doesn't have family that is a college coach either. It is amazing how Coach Pruitt can run mostly the same plays every week and we execute them to perfection most of the time. It is truly awesome to watch this team grow. I am sure he has some new plays that he could use at any time when he needs to to throw the other team off a little. And Taye... what can I say... Wow! what a season. You have stepped up and become a leader just like your brother was for us. You are like a laser out there this year. Aiden, Rylee, and Big Show just keep doing your thing. Watertown is a solid team but we are just as good.  I do know our team is relentless and will battle for all four quarters tonight. Rhea County didn't think we could beat them either but look what happened. Big Show even scored against them.  It sounds like Watertown is fast this year well guess what so are these kiddos. We are Road Warriors! Good luck tonight to our kids. I won't be there in person but I will be listening. As always it's a great day to be a Warrior!

    For Monterey, I fully expect them to try and ground and pound us. If you noticed last week, JB actually tried this as well. I believe if not mistaken we had 5 touchdowns on only 16 plays. So, good gameplan just the execution was off for the devils. Monterey will play hard led by some big linemen and a rb in Bowman that doesn't quit. I just think we will get a great push up the middle and swarm their backs like they haven't seen. Two starting defensive tackles that play good gap assignment football at 6'5 290 and 6'8 335 are tough to run on in single A.

     

    For SP, you do you. Make the plays. Play hard nosed. Be fundamental. If this happens, then you will be fine. There are so many play makers on this team it's ridiculous. Brayden and especially Richie can make plays through the air as well. Stack the box and see what happens with one of the two. With that being said, it doesn't matter if you have Usain Bolt back there if the line doesn't come to play. The boys that don't get the credit and attention. Tomorrow night and every game the rest of the season will depend on how well the line blocks. If the line is blocking well, cha-ching that scoreboard will light up. Pirates pull away late 3rd for good. 3 score game at half.

    All of that is well and good but to take a loss and not even try to win on the field is the only problem in the whole thing. I just can't see it at all.
