  1. Waverly scrimmages Wayne County tonight at 6pm on the practice field.
  2. They seem to have been just fine this spring in the scrimmages. Only two have not played in high school to begin with.
  3. Waverly didn't go undefeated. They beat Brighton, South Fulton, and TCA. They tied Dyersburg. They practiced with Brighton after the 7 on 7 was over, and they may have played again. The first game between the two went to Waverly, however.
  4. Waverly finished 4th at the Riverdale 7 on 7 today, beating Maplewood, Ezell Harding, riverdale, and Stewart's Creek. Lost to Father Ryan. It is 7 on 7, but still very encouraging.
  5. So far they have had one spring scrimmage (@Harpeth). I believe the score when all situations were said and done was 42-28 Waverly. They scrimmage Wayne County tomorrow.
  6. It looks like Lewis County lost 14-4 and Creekwood lost 7-3.
  7. I believe it will go like this: AT Lewis County- (2) Waverly vs. (3) Fairview (1) Lewis County vs. winner of (4) Camden/(5) Stewart County AT Creekwood- (2) Hickman County vs. (3) Montgomery Central (1) Creekwood vs. (4) East Hickman I think this starts Thursday, May 1st.
  8. I see where Giles struggled to beat Page the last time they played in the regular season as well. I know Page beat Fairview earlier in the year by 6-8 points. Has Page gotten better since then? Because the top 3 in 11AA beat Fairview by 30-40 points each time. I have not watched a 12-AA game all year so I really am just seeing what people think. Does the Ordwway(?) kid play for Giles? I know he has several SEC offers as a football player.
  9. #4 Lewis County @ #1 CPA #3 Camden @ #2 Cascade #2 Creekwood hosts #3 Page #1 Waverly hosts #4 Giles County Last night was two great games. All the kids looked exhausted by the end of the night. I hope everyone has safe travels and is successful in the Region this weekend.

  11. Team Waverly- 9-0 (4-0) Camden- 6-2 (3-1) Creekwood- 4-4 (3-1) Lewis County- 5-1 (3-1) Montgomery Central 4-3 (2-0) Hickman County 3-4 (2-1) Fairview 2-7 (0-4) Stewart County 1-7 (0-4) East Hickman 2-9 (0-5) All records are according to coacht.
  12. Waverly wins round one against Creekwood 83-78. Looking forward to round 2, I'm sure it will be a great game.
  13. I think he has a bright future. He will continue to develop, and he already has a very smooth shot. I can definitely see why you guys are excited about him.
  14. Waverly wins 96-77 in a game that did not see much defense lol. Damesworth had 38 for Waverly and Vick had 17 for Camden. Number 11, had a great first half for Camden, Weed? (Not sure on the name)
  15. Waverly and Fairview for tonight has been cancelled. Good luck against CPA tonight in the playoffs
  16. The Middle School coach is fine. His son is a 6'4-6'6 300+ pound tackle at Ensworth. Ensworth offered a football spot and he accepted. The only other kid to go there from Waverly went for Academics! he came back last year and was one of their starting cornerbacks and wide receivers. The problem at Waverly has absolutely nothing to do with the middle school coach, and I would argue it had nothing to do with Coach Graves. When your starting safeties and corners run 4.9 to 5.1 40 times (maybe slower), you're in trouble. When you're best quarterback option on the team is a freshman who has played the spot for one year, and has little to no mobility, you're in trouble. The linebackers were all 140-180 pounds except for one or two kids, and they are not fast either. When some of your best athletes in the school decide to play basketball only or basketball and baseball only, you're in trouble. Coach Graves was about as much of a players coach as there is so I know that is not why kids didn't play. He is a great guy, and does not deserve the crap he received the past year at Waverly. There are several factors going on, but overall lack of talent is the biggest issue, BY FAR. As for the timetable fballtime, I'd say it will be a few weeks, but that is just my guess.
  17. Actually Waverly has won 3 out of the last 4 district tournaments and been to a state tournament. Creekwood has been extremely good the last couple of years and should win this year, but they by no means have owned the district. Lol
  18. Waverly has a couple of 6'3-6'4 kids who are juniors that rotate (don't remember them playing at the same time). Creekwood is definitely capable of giving Waverly a problem. I look forward to both games.
  19. It was precautionary from I what I was told. They said they weren't getting a lot of oxygen from his lower lungs so they wanted to be safe. He was checked out and got to come home last night. I'm sure there is more to it, but I can at least tell you he is ok!
  20. I know McEwen upset Houston County. I don't know the score however.
  21. Waverly won by 1. 7-6 I believe.
