  1. The bad part of this whole thing is that there are to many schools in Hamilton County and the talent pool is diluted. There is getting ready to be an influx of people moving in with industry and it will be interesting to see what happens then. Bigger schools are the norm everywhere else. On another note: What is the status of the football stadium at EH where are they and will they play at home next year.

The field and track are ready. They have a fence, goal posts and a score board. Not sure about the lights. But, they are supposed to be in place well before the 2011 football season. I'm glad. I'm REALLY looking forward to having true home games!

  2. We are pretty young too, about a fourth of our team are freshmen, and this is only our second year playing against legit teams(FRA,Davidson,Knox Webb,Westwood,East Ham.)And I agree, cant wait to see how the game goes next year cause this years game was great. :P

The Freshman Hurricanes have their own team, this year. They went undefeated as Middle School Varsity, last year. And they are 2-0 so far, this year.

Yes, next year should be interesting, for sure!

  3. CANES play Brainerd tonite....should be a good game. After a disappointing loss to Signal, the HURRICANES are hungry to start winning. They have chanaged some things around and will be ready tonite. Look for some big plays and a WIN for EAST HAMILTON.

Good luck, Varsity Canes! You've got what it takes to WIN!!!

By the way, does anyone know how the JV game turned out against Ridgeland, last night? Freshman team won 20-0! :)

  4. It would be nice to keep it closer than last year for sure. Our freshman team looks really strong and they have a good QB so it does look like East Hamilton will be in contention in a few more years. Until then we will just have to see who on our varsity is ready to step up and be the on-field leader (on both sides of the ball). After seeing Ooltewah's dismantling of Tyner, their is hope that a lesser experienced team can pull off the big upset.

    Go Canes! ....No Excuses!

Just wanted to reiterate this. The Freshman Hurricanes won their game last night 26-6. :)
