Yeah it's called not having double digit starters out, but that is just an excuse if you ask a Bama fan. Having captains/NFL talent on the sidelines didn't have any impact on the game at all.

You obviously haven't seen Bledsoe play. This will be another tough game for us. We aren't the SP teams of 2006-2013 anymore.

I'm guessing you started posting again last year. Lord knows the last 10 years we haven't seen many posters from Jasper. You would think the Warriors would be the team that has only lost twice in our rivalry game since 2006 from the way their fans run their mouth.. To think that all those years we were beating y'all by 50+ I actually felt a little sorry for the pathetic purple team. Hopefully you guys can make it 2 in a row. That would be a big accomplishment.

Thanks Ambassador. I have been very busy. I will be around here for playoff season. Not sure how long that will last but you never know. I was at the home opener and I planned on coming back home for this game. Unfortunately, we will not make it so that is why I was wondering if it will be streaming. 1st DB vs Science Hill

2nd Science Hill vs Sullivan Central

3rd TN High vs Volunteer

4th Daniel Boone vs. David Crockett

I definitely bleed orange and will be happy to only be a little over a hour away from Knoxville instead of 2 for these next 3 years. I appreciate the information on the jamboree. I will be there for sure. It will be nice to see some bigger schools play when I'm not back at home watching SP. Looking forward to the 1st quarter and the other 3 as well. It's way early to know what will be the best games to watch this year.There are several great places to catch a game.You need to watch a Dobyns Bennett { 6A }game in KIngsport.Tennessee High {5A}game in Bristol and a Science Hill {6A} game in Johnson city. Elizabethton and South have good 4A teams this year and Greeneville has won a couple of 4A titles in the past few years and has a nice setup in my old home town.When any of these teams are playing each other it should make for some really good games { maybe }.Science Hill and Dobyns Bennett play some good teams outside the area every year,so just check the schedules

The "stay at home" plan worked well for SP last year....

The "beat jasper" plan has worked well the last decade.

Ok guys, I usually just post scores and info on here, but I will bite on this one. I have been doing this gig for 13 years now and learned along time ago from many great mentors including Coaches Don Grider, Baxter, Hale, Wilson, Pratt and Coach Grider you cant make everyone happy. That is just part of the business. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion and that's fine, but the quote about whimpering around and not being behind Coach Ross is totally inaccurate. Don't always believe everything you hear around this place. I know Coach Ross would have been very successful here and I was behind him 110% percent. I have always and will continue to want whatever is best for the program. I hate this for the kids as much as anyone. It's just a tough situation to be put in. Lets just all get behind the coach they bring in and keep this program headed in the right direction. After all.... Once a pirate always a pirate!

Yeah the Warriors are not a threat. They have not been in awhile. Ricky Ross was going to be a good coach for SP though. He had the winning experience. Does anyone think Grider might come back for 1 more year just to make sure everything goes good this year, and start the coaching search process again when the season is over? Whatever they decide to do this has to be a quick decision. Hopefully they dont make the wrong hire. Even though its two different worlds my college team did that and we have been suffering ever since.
