Ok here is what I found out so far...McCallie and Baylor have the oldest rivalry starting in 1905. They have played 85 games and this years game will be the 51st in a row. They have met three times in the playoffs during that stretch. Father Ryan and MBA would have had the longest streak in a row but they stopped for two seasons in the 90's. Now that Goodpasture and Lipscomb are the same Division they could possibly catch McCallie and Baylor because of playoffs. However McCallie and Baylor could play in the playoffs too. If anybody has any more info on Memphis or Knoxville area private school rivalries I would like to start a list of games played. The McCallie vs Baylor rivalry sounds like a great ballgame to attend and so far has the longest consecutive streak.

Hello Friends, On Sept 14th, 2018  Goodpasture and Lipscomb are set to play in their 50th football game (1973-2018). They have played for 45 years straight and have met 4 times in the playoffs. My question to you guys, " Is there a rivalry that is longer in private school vs private school football than this one"?  If so, does it span more than 50 consecutive games ? Father Ryan, BGA, and MBA rivalries come to mind but have they played the same private school more than 50 times in a row?

I will need to see more football games before I give an assessment of these programs...

BGA should give CPA the best game out of this group. The others are still to down to knock off CPA this year....IMO

Congrats to White House, Macon County is hard to read with their wild offense, but their weak D is catching up to them though.

Goodpasture and Alcoa may end up playing again for all the marbles if they can beat CPA and CAK in the first or second round of the playoffs.

In the next two weeks I predict the 3a race will be more twisted than previously thought.

This time of year is the hardest time to play Goodpasture ,because they are hitting their stride and winning by more than expected.

Congrats to Lipscomb I did not see this game as a victory, but they showed a lot of pride to win. Maybe they can show it again vs CPA.

If Smith County has a good defense and an offense that can score points they can win but Macon County is tough to slow when opponents defense is not ready.

What a great rivalry over the years but Lipscomb is obviously a little down and GP is playing better.

Thought this game was a pick em. It sounds like it played out as billed. To great teams just fighting it out and Milan came out on top. Congrats to Camden's season and Milan's win,it is a shame someone had to lose this one.

Congrats to Maplewood, but Congrats to Lipscomb too. I was one who did not think Lipscomb would go very far in playoffs this year. However they played their best and went alot further than anybody thought they would.

Congrats to the Cougars, everybody counted on you to lose but you found ways to win against a very good Pearl Cohn team. I am starting to think you can continue to find ways to win.

If they do show up to play I don't anyone will notice.
