  1. Gary Rankin is the current head coach at Alcoa. Was at Riverdale prior to that and I think Smith County before that. Both of those have benefited from having very talented programs as well.

I may be wrong but i think at Alcoa,RANKIN is the head coach, he brought in two more coaches with him that were head coaches at other schools one to run offence and one to run defense.DB keeps Clark as head coach,Carter to run the offence,Jenkins to run the defense now that would get it done

  2. I guess if GC decided to hang it up, there's only 2 in the state that I can think of, then you're lookin at going outta state. Maryville's coach isnt going anywhere....ever, so the only 2 that I would ever consider is Rankin, and Ballard.

where is Rankin from,Ballard wouldnt be any better

  3. We want someone that cares about the kids and the school. We want someone that's going to stay and not run when all the talent graduates. That's real like it or not.

you get a pat on the back for what you have said!!!!!it's fact's ,cloudland don't need him back!!!!!

  4. well here i go, first half was a good played game well called game both ways except the last 2 minuts of first half. pass caught, player ran out of bounds clock never stoped,Boone fans were screaming the clock the clock, ref finally got it stoped with around 18 seconds left he only puy 25 seconds back up.Boone fans screaming again about that half ends.well the second half a hole different game, calls were one sided just like last year.enough about that game over good luck to west.MY PROBLEM IS WITH THE TSSAA i think they need film of this game, this is a this is a problem that needs to be fixed ,head ref needs to spend more time in the peewee football. THE KIDS AND COACHES DESERVE BETTER FOR THEIR HARD WORK AND LONG SEASONS!!!!!!!!

  5. DB already treated Greenville like the rest of the Big Eight earlier this year beating them 21-0 before we pulled the 1st team. How many more times do you idiots have to be told. There must be as many idiots in J.C. as there are little fairy boys. Lol. Good luck with the whole Mascott search and i still believe the unicorn jumping through the rainbow on the fifty yard line will be the perfect thing for a bunch like you. Roll Tribe!!!! The streak continues....... :roflol:

    when did db play Greenville

  6. Congrats on being where most of kingsport and johnson city will be thursday night. I was just asking a question that pertained to DB not science hill since win or loose the toppers cant climb above a 3 seed. when it matters to you and your in that situation then come back and talk to me.

it don' t matter to me,i could care less, but everybody talking about marryville is a little soon, one game at a time for both schools.

  7. I disagree. I understand your thoughts but this is High School football and the last time many of these kids will ever get to play football again. Who knows maybe they were a young team and lost some early games they should have won or played up in classification to fill out their schedule. Whatever the reason one of the best things about sports is rooting for the underdog and pulling upsets. The chances are very slim that a 4-6 team could do any of that but why take that excitment away from a kid. I would guess if you looked across the state there is some pretty good 4-6 teams out there that could do some damage around here.

good point toss,i like the underdog thing,FOR SOME KIDS HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS IS ALL THEY HAVE!

  8. I still have Boone making the field of 32 as the last in even if they go 4-6. That would mean a playoff game vs Mo-West a very familiar IMAC foe. Just thought I should point it out so the Blazers know they don't have to go all out this Friday.

a 4-6 team needs to be at home,a team needs to be at least 5-5 for playoffs.

  9. I think you are right FUB, Science Hill has all the pieces their, the financial support, the pool of students to draw from, the jr. toppers, and a pretty dang good ball coach. I see no reason why in the next couple of year they can't start producing teams that can compete with the Maryvilles of the state. The only thing that worries me is that with the new stadium and the new coach, if they can't get a win over d-b either this year or next will the fans get frustrated with Carter and start looking for ways to get him out of there? I ain't saying they will or they should, but i could see how it could happen.

well put, the db thing will take care of its self i think.
