Well time is counting down on the announcement of the new head coach. Who will it be? One thing we have learned in this coaching search is who will lie to you, who will avoid you, who has no backbone, who really cares, who is kissing who's tail and who can give a rats tail about anything. I will say this. If the administration ( school board included ) runs the entire school system the way they do the athletics we as a community are in for a rude awakeing. Good luck to the new coach. But some advice would be to come in with your guard up. It is not as good as they said in your interview I bet. But it could be great again if they were on board to be great again.

Cook is who needs to be the leader here. He has a work ethic like Coach Horton. And no doubt the community support will increase. Not sure it will with anyone else on the list. By the way we can't compare the 80's with the present time. And yes I'm from the 80's. The program will stay the way it is until the administration gets off there big ego's and support ALL the coach's and stop dictating. Jerry Cook good luck to you. I along with most Rhea Countians hope you are the leader of our program come Friday.

When you speak of idiots I hope you include yourself. Because no matter who gets the job I'm sure you will be on here explaining what the coach's should have done.

This is what the majority wants to see happen. So I will bet yes, that they will most likely go the opposite. It's not what the county wants it's what they want. Covering something up here or they wouldn't be so upset with Rhea Co and what he has shared with us. I myself cannot wait until Friday. Just real curious on how this pans out now.

This is an absolute shame. We are in a coaching search and the so called administration is upset on what a poster posted. This does not go well on behalf. Messemer, Levengood, Rueling and Bimbo you 4 should be ashamed of your actions here. This really shows what we as Rhea Coutians, football fans AND BIG SUPPORTERS of the program are dealing with. And to think you all are in charge of getting us a coach. With these actions I'm almost certain now that it will be some outsider that will stop by until something better comes along. Or until they see what you all are all about. Not someone that deserves it. Shameful!! Rhea Co don't let these guys run you off. You have done so much for the program and it does not go unnoticed. I will speak for every Rhea County fan I'm sure when I say we enjoy reading your updates, scouting reports, etc...... You have never posted a negetive post on no one. So you rethink your decision. They are not to tell you what to do when it comes to freedom of speech. Keep posting pal.

I don't have a dog in the race when it comes to being a parent of a player. But I do know several players and the reason they are not showing up is because of Davis. Cook left to become a coordinator something he would have not gotten if had stayed on with the past staff. He bleeds Rhea County and Rhea County football. Besides Cook is a big player favorite. You don't believe it go get the team together and take a poll. To be honest at this point Cook is probably the only one that could keep this team together. Fitz resigned because he said the administration would not work with him. Cameron and Hampton followed Fitz. So as far as trying to stay on a time schedule here since the administration is dragging there feet, they need to hire Cook as head coach. To all involved in the hiring process this is one you want go wrong on.

The money for the track had been approved. What would be a shame here is if the administration takes that money and puts it into the hiring of the new coach, and leave the track team hung out to dry. So let's just say if they hire one of the coach's with the outstanding resumes that Rhea Co posted on. Where did the money come from? Since from what I read in the paper the administration was unwilling to work with past coaching staff. And there is no doubt they would want more than Fitz and company.

If it's not a touchy situation with you then let it go. We as posters post our opinions and thoughts. Some are liked some are not. We move on. How about you and alot of others try this. Get involved with the program. And quit comparing other Rhea County teams, players and coach's with each other. Each one is different.

Support the Eagles are the key words here. The bashing, the negativity, the show of class and the unshow of class will allways be here. Everybody (well most) think they know it all or can do better. This is going to be there no matter who the coach is. If the community and the administration will get behind and support the programs at RCHS everyone will see a change across the board. Everyone should be getting involved with the booster clubs of their sport(s), attend games and be positive, which yes I know is hard at times. But these athletes, believe it or not are effected by what people say and do. So I as a Rhea Countian is challenge the community and the administration to make a stand this year and get behind these programs.

Thanks Rhea Co for the update. No doubt Davis put his name in the pool. I would say that Cook has. As far as Kinney goes think about it folks. Mike is a great guy but do you want another family run coaching staff?

All this info that you have seems to be coming from a p***ed off ex coach. You talk about maning up and talking to people. Well why don't you just tell them in person what you think and stop beating around the bush. At this moment we on this thread are talking about the coaching search. So get off your ignorant a** soap box and take a vacation since you want be coaching this year.

This is why Coach Cook needs to be the new head coach. And about making it fun in basketball well it hadnt bleed over to football yet. Every practice I have attended he is always yelling at someone. Need to go with the home town boy here. He knows his football.
