Correct. Clay County was beaten in the state championship game by an undefeated team that was , to my way of seeing it, the clearly more talented team. In the past people would have laughed at the suggestion that Clay could ever make it that far. I am sure this was some disgruntled parent or kid.

Accurate post. It’s just a reality that most fans are interested when things are rolling. There are a few old school, loyal fans that are about the school and town pride. Many of these folks have deep roots in the county and grew up playing football at the end of the home bleachers on Friday nights.

Overall 1-5 a pretty good region, 1 and 2 could be swapped and 3-5 could be swapped imo.

Thanks for the summary. With the recent developments at Smith, I see East as the team to beat now. The Groves kid is a specimen. I feel like TC has an opportunity to get a home playoff game if they stay healthy and limit the turnovers.

Comparing scores is an iffy business. In saying that, Bledsoe beat Meigs by 3 and you beat Meigs by 4. So a clock running by East wouldn’t bode well if you did get by Tyner.
