  1. This will be a close one. These teams are familiar with each other because McEwen goes to Wayne Co camp every year and they always play each other. I think the key is Tyler Rice. If McEwen keeps him in check they will have a great chance. Looking forward to two high schools who respect each other going at it. Good luck to both teams.

  2. I personnally hope and think that 10a will get both teams left in the state tournament.

And dont know how u can put hc above ncs and mcewen for next year when they both beat them easily this year.

Mcewen loses thier best three players and HC has alot coming back, not real familiar with NCS players but I think they lose several.

McEwen also returns 5 players who are playing serious minutes and a player (David Harbison) who was a starter last season and would have started this season had to sit out this year for medical issues but he has been practicing for awhile now

  3. Umm see I have got to see alot of teams play the region around White House such as CPA, Temple, East robertson, and Mcewen..... and if you go back on this forum and look how oldtimeballer63 and me talked bout this youll seee some facts... but Heritage lost one starter which wasnt a big factor but he was a factor but they have easily overcome that already and They are defending District Champs and mcewen was in there district and lost to Heritage and also they lost Puckett which was what tehy depending on last year

    2 words TREY SMITH

Has anyone seen white house heritage play because alot of you have mcewen before them and eat robertson as i remember correctly heritage won that diostrict last year and lost one player... and are 2-0

HEY KID CAN YOU NOT SPELL DISTRICT IS NOT SPELLED DIOSTRICT

  4. should be a good game Montessori has some great shooters and really like too pressure the ball and create turnovers so it should be a great game. But where in the world is the Mcewen student section? Last year was loud and rowdy this year just basically is sitting on their hands.

I was wondering what ya'll thought the outcome of district 10 A was going to be, and who the top players to look out for are...

i look for the district to be competitive again. Everyone could beat anyone in the district on any given night. Every team has too bring there A game every night or they will be walking away with a loss

  6. How did Josh Hendrix do? How many yards did he have?

I am a starter from McEwen and i think Josh isn't having a good year this year. I think we have a freshman that should be playing in his place (Ethan Tummins) thats all i gotta say

  7. Warrior, sorry but i think the exact opposite. Forrest is looking for a win, and I think that Friday night is gonna be it!! Good Luck Rockets! WHIP MCEWEN!!

i think eric beard is going to have an aweosme game his number is 36 he is a great athlete so tell your quarterback to watch out for the 230 lb. LB THEY CALL HIM THE BUS.

  8. Sorry if i hit a nerve. I just remember the good ole days when our district really pulled for each other. Not really the case any more. I think the old schools of 10A do but i'm not sure of the others. I pull for all the 10 A teams because it's good for the district. And Sportster, you must be very passionate about Heritage bball and that's a good thing. But do you need to put down the other coaches and teams in the district?

  9. First of all I wish district 10A could stop all the in fighting and pull for each other. This district is very competative and has been for several years. McEwen has played the same schedule for the last 15 years. The district schedule changes from time to time but the rest of the schedule stays much the same. A game at C.P.A. was added this year after they came to McEwen last year. Besides that the district schedule was and always will be a challege for the top teams. This district is loaded with good coaches with proven records. And yes sportster coach Petrone is one of them along with Ronnie Carlisle of Jo Byrns. Check his record over the years. L.C. Baggett has won a ton of games at Houston Co. and has had a bunch of class kids play for him including this years guys. East has put the gold balls we all strive for outside the gym in cases for all to see. Coach Murphy has done a great this year and will continue to do so. Charlie Anderson is a member of the Hall of Fame, need we say more. Coach Harper has been able to pull off a big upset each year at Clarksville Academy. Because he is limited in talent mean he can't coach? I'm proud of this district and the teams in it. D.C.A. was number one in the state in girls basketball and their season ended the same night mcEwen and East went home. Was their schedule weak or the coaching bad? Early on sportster posted that Heriage was the most tournament ready team because of the schedule they played during Christmas. What was their tournament record? I think they finished 4th in the district and was one and out in the region. Was that because they did'nt have a coach or a tournament ready schedule? No way. This game we love is always full of surprises. I'm very surprised an adult would question the ethics of coaches who have been in this district for many years. I would also be very surprised if you aren't an adult sportster.

  10. McEwen has a good team...  But in a way they have cheated themselves... Instead of playing the best competition in getting ready for tournament time they have played relatively weak teams....  Their Strength of Schedule ranks 100 out of 104 teams in "A"....  I wish them well in the tournament but they havent taken the step to prepare them for being a tough tournament ready team...

I agree McEwen doesnt have the toughtest schedule but they made sure at the end of the season it would be tough scheduling Heritage Fairveiw CPA and Creekwood to end the season and as far as the game goes its McEwen's senior night and they can reach 20 wins tonight so look for McEwen's seniors to stand out I say  McEwen by 8

For this reason they are vulnerable any night they step on the court....  Such as the case with Houston County....

I have to pull for Heritage in this one because they are the underdog....  And they will be ready to play....  While McEwen was taking a 2 week break for Christmas Heritage was taking on very tough "AA" and "AAA" teams in the Overton Tournament....

You have the chance to be a VERY GOOD team McEwen but you just havent taken all of the steps to develop into a GREAT TEAM.....
