I think all those Trousdale County threads have been closed. This one is about Trinity Christian and Signal Mountain. Both are still playing football and have a game Saturday. I hear it's for the state championship.

I also thought that humboldt would be representing this side of the state this year in 2a as well. They were very good and extremely quick. Tca beat them which surprised me when it happened. Smeagle, do you see a trend with trinity? Everyone says they're the jw show. Funny thing is...no one can find a way to beat them through the playoffs and they've played some good teams.

I don't know much about Humbolt. I was just Monday morning CoachTing and trying to get a rise with the Hardee's comment. No doubt TC is a good team. But JW is better than good and appears to have carried the rest of the team through some of the prior games. If you look at his highlight clips, it looks like he's a manboy playing with middle schoolers and just having his way with them. I don't see a lot of help from his TCA teamates - at least on the clips that are on youtube.

He'll be fun to watch in the SEC.

I've done my scouting on ya'll by talking to a 1981 Middleton lineman who's son now stands tall for the Middleton Tigers. He said if they'd had a better line, better gameplan, better passer, better ball carriers, better coaching, and better catchers, your game there would have been different. Seriously, he said JW is the team.

Trouserdale changed their usual identity and followed FCS's second half game plan to attack with a passing game. To bad, they really don't have a passing attack. They do have a good run defense, sold out against the pass and got beat by a SM offensive that saw Whitmore not able that night to hit the broad side of a barn, to bad Trouserdale didn't adjust accordingly. If TCS wants to control this gameu they need to p1ass first and run when necessary. Only chance anyone has is that Whitmore is off and you adjust and play run well. The two best teams that I watched at the end of the season had one thing in common as my 11yr old son said,that line man is a beast.SM wins this one going away, congrats for all of your hard work

Trouserbowzer didn't want any more WhitMORE when that game was over. They wanted the student section. I'd say they need to think about changing their usual identity some more.

Humboldt's actually a great team and most people thought they could contend for the state title

Ditto. Don't know much about last year or why this UC guy would want to come on here and rag on SP, but I just know how great SP's players and fans were before, during, and after our battle at Beene Stadium this year.

UC should leave this one alone.

(I'll try to remember my own suggestion next year whenever Trousdale comes up and remind myself to leave the creek experience in the past where it belongs. But I know SP well enough to know they didn't approach TC behavior.)

It won't be ugly. Assuming the score predictions are right and the Eagles lock it up early, coach will pull back, slow it down, and let some of next year's younguns experience playing in the big game and let this year's workhorses look around and soak it all in.

I hear the extended forecast for Saturday in C'ville is partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain showers. Highs in the lower 50s. Chance of rain 20 percent. It's not going to rain on my parade! It's going to be perfect . . .

Baylor North will invoke the mercy rule in this game. Baylor North's lowest offensive output for a game this season was 40 vs South Pittsburg and 46 vs Trousdale. That's ALL you need to know. Baylor North will put Trinity Christian-Jackson in the half a hundred club in this game. Trinity Christian-Jackson will be able to score 3 times on Baylor North, but I look for a score something like 56-21.

Maybe someday soon somebody will call that little old school down on the river "Signal South".

BTW, who is the home team and why? I think I know, but, just wanting to clear it up here on my end.

Here's what I believe to be correct: TC will be the home team. SM visitor. I believe it is a simple rotation East was home last year, West this year, East next year, etc. Anybody know any different?

Last night was THE most exciting football game I have ever seen. It truly was undecided until the last PAT. Both teams gave their all and both should be proud! McKenzie is a class team that is truly a force to reckon with. When we met before I was amazed with your player's "do or die" effort in everything they did. Last night, I saw that in our Lions and that made for a great game. Your fans were great and some came out on the field to congratulate us on the win.

 

The TCA Lions will be representing West TN next week and I guarantee that this is an honor and a responsibility that they take very seriously.

Well at least Josie is inventive I haven't heard it before. I can think of several for you. Siggie Hill, eaglettes, sparrow, hummingbirds... I think Siggie Hill Sparrows has a nice ring to it.

Saw them play this summer at Chattanooga Team Camp. Very talented squad. Footballers got frustrated and started taking a few cheap shots at their opponents. If they control emotions they have a chance to have a good year in basketball also. If they don't, they will be in foul trouble in big games.

I saw alot of their play at UTC. We have one footballer who's never really played basketball before. I suspect you may have seen him play. He's a great athlete and will get it under control. Overall a great bunch of kids. If the footballers win a state championship next week, it may take them a little while to get back in the game on the court , but I know they're already talking about it and looking forward to basketball. Luckily, I think we have a little more depth this year than last. We won't be starting any 8th graders.

roy dillard, a book telling you a scouting report for a football team means absolutely nothing. this late in the season, anybody could have emerged. dont base anything off your book. i know Murphy is smart but im telling you, the pirates are going to come out and run train on jo bryns, YOU THINK IM JOKING BUT IM NOT
