Like I said I know parents of some of the kids there and one keeps telling me not next year but the next Alcoa is going to take a drop that will shock everyone and had a lot to do with Rankin getting out of Dodge before it falls on him. All parents are very proud of their kids and thinks the sun sets on them and when their gone it will all go away so I do take that in consideration but have heard some real interesting things this year.

You see I already know how bad Maryville had slipped but didn't realize Alcoa had slipped a little also until the West game. Then I kept seeing the other teams were putting some points on the board which I'm sure were mainly on your seconds but your seconds are your future.

    I don't post much but I read alot and you seem to always be running that flapper about things that aren't true or turn out to be meaningless. What I have noticed is that no one ever takes you serious and for good reason.

The offense is really just trying to outrace the defense is what I'm seeing.  Before I get all the hen house stirred up over there I've always said when Maryville starts to fall you'll see the cracks in the wall very fast at Alcoa because they both feed off of each other for each one's existence and the facts are there for all to see. Don't want nothing bad to happen to neither side but I said earlier when Alcoa beat Maryville they didn't get the prize they thought they won. The West loss was to a West team that was actually better last year than they are this year. Both Maryville and Alcoa have some rotten apples especially us, about a bushel full, Alcoa just a hand full but ole Gary was master at getting rid of those before they they hurt any of the rest. Look at those numbers and tell me the AD didn't think about this before staying in his safe place in 3A.

    I don't know if it's Jealousy because maryville has become irrelevant in the last 3 or 4 years or if you just like being wrong most of the time but either way, no one takes you serious either.

    They cannot beat Greeneville, Betsy in 4A Playoffs, theyd be lucky to make 5A playoffs and out in First Round and would not make 6A Playoffs and would get Mercy Ruled by Oakland

    Wins over 4A, 5A, and 6A Schools dont mean nothing since they wouldnt win 4A, 5A, or 6A Gold Balls :lol:

    Reality is that Alcoa has done fine in each classification they've been in by winning state championships and beating bigger schools including taking Fulton to the woodshed multiple times as well as Elizabethton and Greenville but leave it to fan of a nonrelevant school to cry about a team that they are like 1-14 against. Snicker

    Alcoa has won multiple state championships in 1A, 2A, and 3A on top of whipping bigger classifications top teams. You're just going to have to deal with it. Snicker.

    Now my theory

    I think the worst thing that happened to Alcoa was beating Maryville(and in hindsight a Maryville team that wasn't as good as a typical maryville team) therefore set em up for disaster. I think everyone crowned em(Alcoa) when they beat Maryville. I think they crowned themselves, the coaches, the fans, other teams, officials, media, administrators, everyone in the state crowned em after that W and they became complacent, satisfied and stagnant. They became the perceived best(top) team when in reality they weren't, at least by the presumed amount. I think Upperman, Covington, prolly PC(with some better coaching guidance) and definitely Stratford with even minimal competent coaching could and may be better than Alcoa this yr. As a disclaimer I'm in no way suggesting Stratford would ever come remotely close to beating Alcoa with what they do now, however do feel they got better athletes w/o doubt 

    Upperman was for real

    ( one thing I did hear an Upperman announcer say was that if Upperman was in the East that Alcoa Upperman would be State Title Game. Not so fast with that. I think all  Cov, Stratford, PC(thou they can't even make to quarterfinals yr after yr), Upperman & Alcoa are capable of beating one another

    Alcoa was inflated

    Alcoa still Champs however til someone beats em on the scoreboard

    Daddy what was the high point when you played football at upperman? ...Well son, we lost to Alcoa 27-14.

We also could of run the clock out to end the first half instead of passing and giving Alcoa the ball back. That in the end is what cost us. Coaches did a great job. Boys did a great job. There's always knowledge gained. They are now a more familiar opponent. Time will fly by and we will be in Alcoa replaying this game before you know it.

They have 20 something assistants and are they gonna bring in some more players if not where is he gonna get his help from?

    I find it glorious that you are still getting bent over your team losing.
