Does CAK still have 'nanner puddin' in the concession stand?
-
I haven't read all the post on here, so pardon me if this question has done been asked, but will this surface require different cleats than real grass?

Artificial Noise Makers in Tennessee needs to be cleaned up. Have a Police Siren at a Football game is way out of line. The TSSAA needs to ban this from the football games.
I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE!! The train whistle is a bit much!
-
I expect this will be the biggest game in East Tennessee - maybe even the state! Two very good, very different teams with each of them being on a mission! This will be the epitome of a football game!
I am not even going to try and pick a winner!

43-23 near the end of the third. Coalfield with 445 yards of offense already
Thanks for all of the updates!

Is BB a private school?
-
two games the game they are in plus one
That is not good for which ever team wins this one.

I'm not sure. Is the rule in high school that they have to sit out a game following an ejection? I hope not.
I am not sure either, but I think that is the rule. Anyone know?
-
Will the ejected players be elgible to play next week?

Oliver Springs, Harriman, and Rockwood are all "Class A" ....all on Kingstons schedule.. Polk had one "Class A" opponent, South Pitt.
Y'all should call SP, they're always looking for opponents!!!
Then why wouldn't they play Alcoa? They might always be looking for opponents - just not tough ones!
-
Congratulations to CAK on your hard fought, well deserved victory!!

I can't believe this is the Loudon team that beat LC.

I didn't know that posts on this board were for the purpose of "gaining" anything other than knowledge about what to expect from the upcoming game and to banter with other football fanatics. I do think you are being a bit over the top, but thats certainly your prerogative. And of course you know I never mention a player by name or number unless it is to give him some props. Nothing I have said is a big secret. 1) both schools have exchanged game film as is customary after their most recent Friday night games, its no secret that some CAK players were injured 2) CAK games are broadcast on the strongest FM station in the state of TN and streamed live on the internet, and every last player injured was mentioned during that broadcast because I was listening and watching 3) Gary Rankin's daughter is walking the hallways and sitting in classes with these very same players at CAK every single school day. I have had conversations with others before about injury reports and whether they should be mentioned on public message boards and I am completely comfortable with what I have said or posted. I assure you that while casual followers of Alcoa or CAK may not be aware of these sorts of things, the coaches from each school know. I was receiving text messages from people at the Alcoa games when V and Oggs were injured. Any way, we simply disagree on this issue. If I thought that anything I posted on this board could possibly hurt CAK's chances of winning this game or hurt any individual player you know I wouldn't. And NO, it wouldn't bother me if it were my son mentioned especially after it was already widely know from the sources I've already cited above.
What FM station would that be? I am not going to make the game, but I sure would like to listen!

I think this game will be closer the most people probably think. I dont see more then a 2 score ball game here either way. The team with the least turnovers is going to take this. I might even go as far as say the team with the ball last wins it!
I think this post is right on the $$!
-
What same opponent would that have been? If you don't mind my asking????
Kingston

After watching both teams play the same opponent, IMHO - I am going to have to go with CAK in a close, high scoring game. However, both teams need to bring their A game if they want to win and it could easliy come down to the team that makes the least amount of mistakes! Either way - I expect a barn burner!
-
I can't help but think that Hicks is the better quarterback. AC has 31 turnovers this year and that is averageing 3.5 per game. Does anyone know haow many interceptions Hodge has thrown this year?
-
I wish I could say that about the A-E game......"sigh".
It happens my friend! It happens to ALL teams every now and then and it sure seems to get a teams head on straight and back in the game. I just hope (as always) for an injury free game - for both teams.

That was the high school FFA pigs and goats that you were smelling. That is their barn right behind the football field.
It don't matter who they belonged to. I am sure that the thing that stands out most about visiting fans visit to MC is that smell.
-
I have seen both Alcoa and Stone play this year. I expect Alcoa to win, but I can't help get the impression that Stone does not need to be taken lightly.
-
20-0 kingston,i had to miss this game, any input from either side?
I thought that Jackets were a little flat, but the passing game was on and they pulled out a win.
However, in case you have never been to MC, the visiting bleachers are right in front (very close) of a hog farm and the smell was TERRIBLE! Some of the Jacket fans went to the other side in an attempt to get away from that smell!
I have been to rural schools before, but I have never seen (smelled) anything like this!
I realize that MC can't do much about the neighbors, but this leaves a VERY BAD impression of their school!
-
how will the jackets bounce back from the alcoa loss?
I think they will roll over McMinn Central!
-
I am not an Alcoa fan, but I think Coach Rankin is a class act.
-
I was at the McEwen game and even though CA did put up a lot of points, I can't see them doing that well against some of the better teams in 1A.
Coalfield at Greenback
in Class 1A & Class 2A
