The score was 28-16 when Sunbright scored to close it to 28-24. LV fumbled the kickoff return and Sunbright recovered with a couple of minutes to go. I don't know if it was at the 8, but somewhere around there. The Sunbright coach was handed the game on a silver platter, then called the worst plays in the world!!! The QB England and back Bunch both had been making big running gains all night, yet the coach had them throwing...then went for a field goal on a bad angle on 4th and 8. After the game he was standing near me and was blaming the boys for not tackling! It was the worst officiating I've ever seen with LV getting the worst call of the night. They had broken a tackle and had gained 40 or 50 yards, but the ref thought someone else had the ball and when he was tackled he blew the play dead...with the ball carrier still going down the field! LV lost most of the yardage they had gained when the refs broguht the ball back, which was the only thing they could do. Twice Sunbright had back of the endzone catches which looked good and were called out and one catch in the endzone was good and he dropped the ball, but had possession plenty long enough for the TD. The refs were evenly awful to both teams. Sunbright lost because of terrible play call, not the boys' efforts. I'm not even from there, but went over to watch Sunbright's talented team several times this year.

MAN YOU NAILED IT RIGHT ON THE HEAD.

  2. I garuntee you that you better worry about these Lookout boys before you start looking ahead to playing Grider. Grider has to win at Greenback this week before he can even think about playing at Coalfield. I garuntee you Lookout has a real fast boy named Jamal Jones. If he gets past the linebackers, he will be gone for a touchdown. You think im joking but im not. You should read in your Murphy Fair about these Lookout boys.

Your exactly right Roy about the Jones kid he is very hard to tackle too.I watched him against Sunbrght an he is the real deal. It was a very good game. :thumb:

  3. Define Great team? Our boys have had up's and Downs, even before the first game! a bad team stays down our boys were picked to loose by as much as 35points a good team would have hung in there but a great team says we can we will and we did win, Yeah we lost some games but alot of those young men hung in there and overcame people like you putting them down, they deciced to play as a team, and stick to the plan and beat a team that very well could be undfeated!!! So I will stand and say yeah they are a great team, One more Round Boys!!! Jesus Loves us all!!! John 3:16 Good Luck Tigers, and Jackets

Nobody puttin nobody down here, they simply got out coached.Hats off to the boys executing Eliisons game plan an sticking with it.GREAT TEAM (MARYVILLE,ALCOA,SPITT ETC.

The wind was not blowing hard you are crazy, maybe 5 mph winds & yes I was there. Keep away yes & you know how they did it, by being able to run the football! If your defense could have stopped the run we couldn't have ran the clock, looks like our line is better than your line. Your own coach said it best on his radio interview..."we were outcoached"! I respect him for admitting that. Our coaching staff put together a gameplan & it worked. All that matters is win or lose & our boys won. Sunbright can keep making excuses, but great teams play great regardless of weather conditions. Our coach siad it best in his interview..."football is not a fair weather sport".

:roflol: YOU CANT BE SERIOUS IF YOU ARE SAYING DOGS ARE A GREAT TEAM

  5. That's exactly what happened. All Sunbright did was just show up. They ripped right through O.S. and took Oneida out with little struggle. They were all overlooking Wartburg because of there record and there inexperience. Another big problem they had this week is they completely looked past the Wartburg game. All the players could see was the fact that they'll have possible redemption at Coalfield in the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs and plus all the players were worried about was getting a chance to play South Pittsburg since they are in Quad 1 now. When you don't focus on the task at hand, that's what happens. You get upset. Wartburgs defense wasn't that great, if you watch the film you will see the Sunbright Receivers all had very bad games. England may have been 3-24, but about 9 of those passes hit the Sunbright Receivers in the hands and chest.

    DITTO

  6. Good luck to Sunbright! Know nothing about LV so I cant really venture a guess here.

Same here jcfan, but i do know that if the qb for Sunbright is on tomorrow night an his

receivers are wanting to catch the ball they will put points on the board. And the qb is

very capable of runnin the ball watched the tigers a couple times this yr,qb is good an

has very good size think they say hes bout 6`3 225. I will be pullin for the TIGERS always consider

them underdogs because they r one of the smallest 1A schools in the state.

  7. Don't know anything about LV but sunbright has a good QB and athletes at WE. If LV has a weakness in the secondary look the tigers will exploit it. Coalfield beat them with their line. They pounded on then threw on when they crowed the box. I will take the tigers in this one.

Coalfields offensive line is very good this yr.That is how they beat sunbright. If England comes out ready to play this week unlike last week an they are weak in the secondary he should have a good game. Like you cheatless i dont know much about LV??????????????

  8. Sunbright will beat Lookout Valley,Coalfield will beat Sunbright.South Pittsburg is heavely favored to beat Greenback,if that happens South Pittsburg will beat Coalfied,Eaglesville and then Huntington for the championship. That is the way I see it.

Sounds about right. Dont see Greenback giving SPitt much of a challenge either. And spitt will with out a doubt beat coalfield. Coalfield only beat Sunbright by 7 in regular season :thumb:

  9. Granny Annie where have you been? I have been waiting on you to surface. Your Rams sure seem to be a real good team this year. I think they will provide a stiff challenge for South Pittsburg that will hopefully benefit them in the playoffs. Grace is a good team and will play hard, but the pirates are still coming. Should be a good one.

  11. JC had their chances Croz to score more but they kept shooting themselves in the foot, lots of penalties. Sunbright has a really good they had their fair share of mistakes as well. The best thing JC can take from this game that past teams didn't do so much was they got mad and fought back. There was a fight and it isnt what im talking about just the team in general sucked it up and did what they could to take it to them. We havent seen that in the past so much. England is legit it was a very sloppy night but even at that he was a beast running the ball, didnt throw that much but he didnt have to so we didnt get to see that part of his game.

With all that said if JC's line can get it together and give some protection this year they will be ok.

Well said JC fan. You guys seem to have a good group of kids. They keep hanging in there the way they did friday night they will be ok.
