  1. Always tough to predict games against teams you haven't seen recently. Sweetwater played Grace Baptist of Chattanooga to a 34-26 game or something close to that, yet lost 20-6 to a Loudon team that is down this year. So who knows how it will play out. But I believe CAK will win this game comfortably so long as they don't have the proverbial turnovers and penalties or let down after an emotional victory. If its a dry track I believe the CAK team speed will be too much for the Wildcats. Its also very difficult to prepare in practice for a passing attack like the one the Warriors will bring along with the new found running game. Additionally, CAK's defense has shown signs of improvement over the past several games. I expect they will be even stingier now that they have a renewed confidence.

    Phixed...Lol

  2. No.

Sure they have, CAK played at Grace...

As for the rain and a throwing team, I have followed CAK for a couple years now and can remember them playing Loudon, and Page in the rain and it did not slow them down.

Rain has the potential to slow down anyone who is holding on to the ole pigskin. So I dont know if I would say it effects a throwing over running, its all about how prepared a team is for the conditions at hand!

    Is it friday yet?

  3. They run a spread offense. They are a 'finese' team due to the fact they cannot out muscle any of the other 6a teams in Rutherford County. <_< For the Wilson Central game they were able to out muscle them as WC uses the weight room even less than LaVergne does.

Two of the better places to eat on Sam Ridley Parkway near the LHS is 'Chedders' and the 'Catfish House' for those who prefer fish on Friday. :thumb:

The road to the school goes right next to some resteraunts like Sonic and the like. There is also a 'Toots' right on the main road also.

If you bring your band, it will probably take up at least half of the available visitor seating so you might want to bring a lawn chair and sit next to the fence.

To second one suggestion.....skip the extra glass of tea where ever you eat!

must be a small stadium if our 35 member band takes up half! :roflolk:

Finese? while at oak ridge (if memory is correct) Stanton wanted to line up and pound the rock.

  4. I would love to see 2 (16 team brackets) or 1 (32 team bracket) based on performance not location! Not just because of our district, but because I like facing other teams and traditions...

Correct me if I am wrong (which is probably the case) but I am prett sure Georgia and Lousiana have a point sysem that determines playoff seeding...

Anyone know much about other states and HS football playoff systems?

  5. Really, someone from Polk Co. asking who Loudon is? Maybe you should check the history of the two programs.Last meeting Loudon beat Polk's best team ever on their home field in the playoffs 24-13.Remember?????

you may want to go back and read the previous posts...someone from the other side of the state needs to learn how to spell...The Polk guy was just making fun.

  6. They should be fired! no question...I cannot for the life of me believe that those so experts of high school sports would allow someone with one loss to be at the top of any list. How could they do such a thing. Without a doubt CAK should be at the top of the list, they havent lost a game, this is an outrage. Alcoa will lose to Greeneville, what you don't believe me just ask the Greeneville peeps...Ask Turtle A-E will take it too them. After a huge game with Maryville, Alcoa may get caught in the corndog trap this week. Kingston is undefeated and DESTROYING people right now... I just dont see the HYPE with Alcoa. I do think that they will handle Scott and Stone, but the rest are all up in the air...All this to say, calm down man everyone who has watched Alcoa play knows how good they are and that their record speaks for itself not some newspaper writer...They are at the top until someone dethrones them.

  7. Love to see a CAK/CPA series. The soccer games have been classics (even though we haven't been able to win). Question: Will CAK be bumped up to 4A at next classification due to growing enrollment?

Unless CAK adds space they are pretty much maxed out (they just added a new building 2 or 3 years ago). I have been told that they only have room for 475ish students...

Looking forward to the trip to Lexington this week.

  8. AC players and fans do not panic. You guys need to knock the rust off and you will be fine. You have a team that will win a bunch of games this year, keep your heads high! Will be pulling for you guys the rest of the season.

  9. have heard the rumors of his daughter at CAK, but will have to see it to believe it! No chance and I mean no chance he goes to CAK. I do not see the Bradelys leaving anytime soon. My money would be on Catholic if he stays in the knoxville area. (mapquest meadows should be moving any time now anyway)

Why would he leave you ask? What else does he have to prove at Alcoa? Now it is time to double dip and get paid!

  10. Yes sir...the lights will be turned on and the cameras rolling before you know it! I am interested in seeing how the warriors compare to "big" school football...

I am also interested in seeing how Mr. High and his amigos perform, this team has the potential to put up some big time points.

The real question's "how long will this game last?" And "how many actual run plays called between both teams..."
