  1. And this comes from a Cleveland fan that is still not happy with what they received a couple weeks ago? This is not the time or post for anything you have to say ABLB. If you want to talk about the Cleveland/LCHS game then go to that post and leave this one alone. That is all I have to say to you here! Just think how bad T'town would have beaten yalls tails if yall would have lucked out. I guess we really did you a favor!! :roflol:

Then WHY are you on the Tullahoma - Columbia game thread. When you get off I will get off!

  2. I take it they are not very favorable for the cats. I know the last two games when they were heavily in favor of your team you didn't hesitate to post them!

As great of a team as LCHS had I can't believe Tullahoma was Heavily favored against them. It is a good thing they have girls Basketball in Lawrenceburg. They seem to be the only championship team you have!

  3. Just wanna say congratulations to both teams. a VERY physical game from both teams, and I really think it would be hard to say that one team was more physical than the other. I thought there was a great class shown by both teams throughout the game, and especially after the game. LC-Tullahoma is a great rivalry with both sides respecting the other, and i'm looking forward to keeping this intesne rivalry going in the next years.

Dosen't a rivalry have to have close match ups over the years. I think Tullahoma has won 20 out of the last 21 and 40 out of the last 45. Not much of a rivalry.

  4. Not to dispute other posters...again I'm not 100% sure..and would think that the poster who is a member of an officials association would be better informed than I would, HOWEVER, Henry County played West Creek from Clarksville last Friday night in the 1st Round which was a rematch between two teams from District 10-AAA. The crew officiating the game was from Memphis and it was their first trip of the season to Paris. We did not have a crew from our "normal association" last week.

You can break your crews up but most keep them together since they have called all year together. You will see a regular District crew for the LCHS & Tullahoma game for round 2.

  5. Surely someone knows how the referees are determined for the playoffs. The only thing I found in the handbook was "Game officials for all play-off games shall be appointed by the state office". I have always wanted to know if they pick the best groups or do they pick the best individual referees? It appears the referees are always from a different district of the two teams playing but I am not even 100% sure of that. A little help here please.

If you are playing another team in your district(in the playoffs) the officials come from your regular crews during the year. If you are playing out of district (in the playoffs) the officials come from another assigning district so they don't know either team. The state works with the assigning officer from each area of officials. I hope this helps.

  6. Well the time is almost here. The blue whiners are on the way here. The WILDCATS are getting ready. And the best thing of all is that it's raining here in Lawrenceburg and we love to watch the MUDCATS go when the field is nasty. The edge just got better. See ya @ 7 & be ready for a slobber knocker.

I don't see why a team that is as good as yours would need to rely on the weather to help them win. You should want a dry perfect night to show your true colors. I guess thats why you finished 4th in your district this year dry weather. You had such a good year last year only because of all the rain. Is that what you are saying?

  7. Giles county needs a couple of games next year,IF you are really from Cleveland why don't you call the Bobcats and"get you some?"

You guys are just like Lawrence co. You have only made the playoffs 3 or 4 times in your history. Everybody has a good run. Your days are over also. Once coach o'conner leaves for lincoln co. back to the BOTTOM! Oh yeah, my eyes are not as good as they once were I stand corrected #44 not #40. I guess i should have said the Mike LB, Will LB, DE, S, and SS.

  8. Lawrence Co is a good football team that doesn't need to play dirty and I didn't see anything out of the way in the Tullahoma game. I'm a Tullahoma fan and saw the game last Friday. I can't speak about the strength of Clevelands district, but every team in District 8AAA made the playoffs and you can't say that about the district that Cleveland plays in.

Lawrence Co. has only made the playoffs twice in their history and they think they are world beaters. Get over yourself your program goes right back where you belong after this run of players. THE BOTTOM!

  9. I couldn't agree more! LC's 2009 team was much more disciplined than 2008. This 2010 team is easily the most disciplined hard hitting team I've seen. Last weeks game was riddled with questionable calls. But that's besides the point...LCHS invented something known as KABO last year...the defense lives by it. So Cleveland will surely be hurting after the game, but it's up to the LC offense to make sure they aren't only hurting, but losing. This game will be highly defensive for LC, and has the potential to win the game for the wildcats. However, I don't see a team with a great defense and an OK offense going any further than the second round. Same happened last years playoffs. Craigmont was a test of the LC defense, Mitchell was almost completely the offense's game for both teams and the best offensive team won, Mitchell.

It is amazing how a school (lchs) that has only had 2 or 3 winning seasons in their history are now a state power.

  10. You hit the nail on the head!! The Tullahoma game was not very well officiated to say the least. Very questionable calls. You are also correct about the team being more disciplined this year. You could just about bet on at least a couple late hits and usually from the same couple players. I guess all the running and actually growing up a bit has solved that problem. I don't see LCHS changing their play because of a couple close calls. They need to keep playing hard and hope for some good refs that understand football is a contact sport!!

I guess the refs are always good when you win. And always questionable when you don't win. So, last years team was cheap but this years just plays hard? The officials for this game will not be regular season officials. These officials will be assigned by the state. So boys when you go down get up quick so they can't punch, pinch or pull on you under the pile.

  11. lchs's defense will win this game for the cats.. They have played well all year along probably one of the best to have wore the purple and gold, if not the best than definatly the hardest hitting.. seriously theses kids will hurt you.. shelton, mcanally, the bosheers brothers, kennady, brown, and garland will absolutely decleat you. I guarantee you Saturday morning the tullahoma players woke up feeling like they was hit by a train. If the offense can play half way decent and the defense shows up like they have been, it could be a long long night for cleveland

From what we heard you only cheap shot people after the whistle and spear people on the ground. I am sure people would be sore with hits like that.

  12. You might as well give up! The Cleveland fans will not except what is plainly written it the handbook! Humor them and lets just say they are the Champs! The rest of the state really knows.

How did Tullahoma win District 8aaa? Their overall record was 7-3 and Columbia was 8-2. Tullahoma won the district and Columbia got a higher seed in the playoffs becouse overall records only count for state seedings.
