  1. LOL..Didn't know this was an AAU message board..But while we are on subject yes we are looking for a few players..Not many but a few..But 1st they have to be good kids..We pride ourselves on not having a Tech called on a player in 2yrs(I got 1 at summertown thank you Austin York LOL) But I coach these kids in the summer for fun..Dont charge any money don't want any so therefore I don't want any headaches..Anymore info email me at rainin3s_21@yahoo.com.....So all these good ppl can get back to talking about these great kids and not us coaches....and that is a underscore in email between s and 2 of email...good luck to all teams and players in tourneys especially mine

  2. That's tough to lose the PG to injury. Good job on not making excuses! Hampshire will return some experience next season. They might not be deep but they will be a pretty darn good team next year.

not gonna make any excuses santa fe shut us down ....they triple teamed boshers when he touched the ball and the rest of the team had their worst shooting night of the year....Santa Fe executed a great game plan and by their own coaches admission played their best defensive game of year...good luck to them in the future

  3. ^^^^^^ What he said!!

no one said lancaster christain "MATTERED" reference was made to them not being very good...it doesn't matter if you belong to the TSSAA TVAC FBI TBI NCAA NAIA or any other alaphet combination you want to put together...Lancaster Christain has a good team and some great athletes 2 of them signed D1 scholarships to play football..check the school website they beat BGA 82-77......Mccallie 77-75 in 5OT and played glencliff to a 52-54 loss..but as usual these stats wont mean anything because LCA doesnt matter...lol..just like i said on here at christmas time dont be surprised if Nashville Central Christian beats MTP and Perry County in the Christmas classic....and they did and like always that team didnt matter either because they dont belong to an alphabet group and wont play for a reconized state title..please if not for me do it for yourself step out side the box and look around for minute its pretty nice out here in the real world

  4. MP by 45 over Cornersville

Santa Fe by 18 over Hampshire

    Culleoka by 2 over Richland

Santa Fe by 18....lol...Hampshire just beat them by 3 at santa fe a cpl weeks ago in a game where hampshires PG fould out in 3rd qtr and walker and boshers fouled out early in the 4th.. a side note santa fe shot 21 more free throws than Hampshire and made more than the hawks attempted...if the game was anywhere closed to being called even hampshire wins in a blow out....and it was Santa Fe's homecoming

  6. Sounds like some stiff competition lol

Once again you show your basketball knowledge....you guys are amazing...why dont you look up Lancaster Christain's schedule, record and ask some coaches in Nashville about them..If you did you would find out that they have won over 20 games and a list of their wins include McCallie and BGA and a bunch of other well respected programs in the area..Why dont you ask Boyd at MTP what happened when they played them over the summer...if he is honest he will tell you they got run out of the gym by 30..that is more than the sacred summertown or CA beat them by..It amazes me that this very site we blog on has all this info and you still comment without doing any research..bothers me that you represent a voice on here for 11A basketball..AT least the 12A guys know basketball they might be bias to there district but they know the game.

  7. The people I mentioned were just my opinion. I don't know what the final results were.

You keep bringing up ppg stats. That's all fine and dandy but that's not the end all be all stat. You have to take into account how many shots does it take to get those points? Boshers has the green light to shoot anytime, anywhere. It's pretty easy to pile up points with 30 shots a game. How efficient of a player is he?

MVP should also take into consideration WINS. Hampshire simply didn't win enough games to have any player deserve MVP consideration.

The people listed above him are simply better players.

A player is only as good as the people around him..All i said was put any of those of other kids on hampshire and see how many games they win..there have been alot of great players over time who didnt have the supporting cast to win a championship....and like i said the award is most VALUABLE not best all around player...boshers is more valuable to his team than any of the above listed..but i guess that is his fault to..and it is easier to be efficent when you have better players around you..therefore you are not the focal point of the defense..the number of wins a team gets does not tell how good an individual player is

  8. MVP race -

    1. Spencer Richardson (Best all around)

    2. Princeton Harlan (Defensive MVP)

    3. Noah Richardson (Good midrange and passer)

    4. Will Boshers (Best shooter)

    5. Hunter Best (All around/shooter)

others...Lovett (all around), #45 Culleoka (poor mans kevin love), Kade Morgan (great defender)

will boshers was robbed for district MVP....he is the best player on a below average team..he gets game planned for every night..if you put any of these other players listed on hampshire and they wouldnt average anywhere near 20pts a game..and you have harlan listed as best defender....well boshers put 35 on him in 2 games which is 17.5ppg which is below his average but still enough to lead district...the other players listed are all very good but they also have great supporting cast to help them along(exception to lovett he has to do it by his self)MVP is Most Valuable Player.....meaning most valuable to your team you take boshers away from hampshire and they would have struggled to win a game but C.A. would have been just fine without the richardson kid...

  9. For any of you that are upset over 12A talking on this board, I have already started a Region 6A thread---see you over there.

anyone have any thoughts on you should be player of the year in either district 11a or 12a

  10. I totally agee with you Vandychris. CA is not a top 10 team (and don't get me started on MTP). I have no idea how they are ranked above Summertown. Good thing rankings at this point in the season don't mean anything.

Santafebaby, you're sounding like your name suggests.....This is America. Stop crushing dreams. BLAH BALH BLAH. CA had their chance to prove they deserve to be called an elite team and what did they do? lost by double digits. I agree he should he should wait until tournament time to start talking, but he is right. And you know it. Give a little credit to someone other than SF. Cully or SF will most likely have to go to Summertown first round of region so keep your words soft and sweet because you might have to eat them later.

Santa fe lost to hampshire at santa fe on their homecoming night..it was a 3 point loss but hampshire was up 12 with a 1:30 left and tried to give it away...hampshire played the last 12min of the game without their starting point guard(fouled out) and their 2 leading scores boshers(who is prob leading the district in scoring) and walker he fouled out midway through the 4th....that coupled with SF shot 21 more free throws this game would have and should have been a blow out win for hampshire...so SF needs to worry about 11A before even mentioning 12A

  11. Tuck in your shirt and keep it tucked in!!!You want to show disrespect to the REF ( and the Game and the Players and the Fans in attendence)and then whine about all the "Ts"?First the shirt is untucked and then the shorts ride down and then we all get to see your boxers!!! I for one ,dont want to see peoples underwear.Imagine your mom or sister with her underwear showing.....Is that ok?How about I go up to your mom or sister and pull her shorts down just a little bit???You see how disrespectful that sounds?????Get a clue some of you, if we allow it to start , are we then going to be surprised at how far it can go?Tuck in your shirt or go play/coach something else!!!!

im not sure how the rule reads but i believe it says "shirts must be tucked in for any player participating in the said game" because i have seen players forced to be taken out of the game for shirt being untucked..which is proper enforcement of the rule ...return to the bench until your shirt is tucked in.....however....once a player is ejected or fouls out of a game he is disqualified from participating...so if he is no longer participating in the game the shirt being tucked in is a mute point...now i know someone on here will tie this arguement into a violent act a player might commit after being ejected....but that doesnt fit this rule violence at any time before during or after the game is dealt with in a different part of the rule book..no where does it say a player must have his shirt tucked in before or after the game that is handled by coach or school...so most of your rebuttles will be handled under those guidelines...so let the arguements comense disprove this interpitation of the "tuck" rule....lol

  12. The point is not about players being disrespectful, the point is the officials gave an 8 point advantage to a team over an untucked jersey.(the kid made 8 out of 10). You can watch a game and watch kids say every word imaginable and very rarely are technical fouls called for foul language unless directed at the official. Officials do not like to be "shown up". Neither do coaches or players. Players and parents should respect officials because parents have the same opportunity to ref basketball if you so wish. If you think the officials are so bad then File the paperwork and get the 50 dollars a game to have everyone in the gym hate you. The officials are there to keep high school games from turning into a riot because half the people there would fist fight if there were no consequences. Should the kid have shot 10 free throws? No, I do not think so, but the officials did what they felt was right and the T$$AA will review the sequence of events I'm sure and if the referee's were out of line then correct actions will be made.

ok...well i think most of us were taught along time ago that respect is given not earned...just b/c you wear a stripe shirt doesnt mean you automatically worhty of such respect....like any other profession with a uniform or position of authority some respect is given but once you show you are not worhty of it you lose it...in most other situations a few bad apples can ruin a bunch, but with this case alot of the young ones are losing the respect a few of the older refs worked for years to get..

  13. I didn't witness what happened during this instance, so I can't comment specifically. Regardless, I do agree that kids too often disrepect authority and many parents are as bad or worse. However, one of my pet peeves is with refs/officials that can't handle being an authority figure. I think to be an effective official one has to exercise discretion and do his/her best to keep personal emotions out of the game. Too often officials come into the game with a chip on their shoulder just looking for an opportunity to show their authority. Neither poor behavior by the athletes/coaches nor the officials is acceptable to me. I've seen plenty of both. Based on the description of events in the previous posts, my guess is that questionable behavior from both may have precipitated this situation.

officials are the authority but they are not supposed to be argumentative...alot of officials i have seen in tennessee think that everyone came to watch them..and meet every conversation with an attitude..i am a asst coach with a team...and it is the worst i have seen and i was an official for 10yrs in other states...had the lead official tell us as we ran on the court after girls game...that unless we wanted to start the game with a technical we needed to have 1 of our parents moved from the STANDS behind our bench...because he heard her through out the girls game and was tired of it...so we ask him not to take out his frustration with her on our kids...and what do u know he calls 3 total fouls on other team in 1st half and our coach gets T'd up in 2nd qtr..the refs' in this state are the worst ever...and to the select few good ones we have you need to talk to your fellow brothers they are ruining your profession

  14. Just making a point not a comparison.and yeah dirk would still get a double double...but it would be 15/10 instead of 30/10.have u even saw lemay play?he's not the best player in the district but he is a great shooter who doesn't get to shoot often.I'm not saying keep him outside all the time but sometime.

i have seen him play several times....all im saying he is 6'6 or 6'7 kid playing single A basketball...were a good size post is 6'3...and he is not even averaging dbl digit rebounds....on a team that u said yourself doesnt shoot the ball very well....so to some up the convers..he is 4-5 inches taller than anyone who is gonna guard him(minus the big kid from santa fe)and he is on a team that cant shoot(your words) and he cant get enough rebounds or put backs to avg a dbl dbl...so after laying out all the facts...i apologize you were right from the beginning he needs to play outside...if he cant beat up on smaller kids down low then he is just taking up space in the middle...great point

  15. All I'm saying is when u have a guy that would shoot 60% from behind the arc you should utilize it some.he is one of the few guys on mtp that can hit an open shot on the perimeter.also he is 1 of 3 starters over 6ft.u think dallas should keep dirk novitski in the paint just because he's a 7 footer.anybody that thinks a person has to play the post just because they are big is ignorant.not saying ur ignorant.

wow...you said a mouthful..you are comparing hunter lemay to dirk...wow..and also saying he would shoot 60% from 3...he must have scholarship offers from every school in the south even the nation for the that matter..a 6'6--6'7 kid that could shoot that high of a %.....he must dominate the aau circut since it is a perimeter game...ok back to reality the kid might be able to shoot the ball but i think around 30% leads the nba right now from deep..so 60 might be a stretch..and if dallas left dirk down low he would still get a dbl dbl every night...and that comparison stops there

  16. I guess u didn't watch the same game I did cause every point he scored was within 8ft of the goal.he blocked several shots down low too.I'm just telling you the boy can shoot from the outside as good as anybody out there and they keep him inside.

ok...he is by far the tallest player in 11a and acording to you he was dominating the game down low...blocking shots scoring...etc..just what a big man is supposed to do right...so your suggestion is to move him outside...interesting....like having a guard that is shooting the lights out and move him to the block to post up because everyone thinks he can post up..i want to play against the team u coach

  17. Watched mt. Pleasant play nash christian last night and I wasn't impressed with mt.p at all.they are kinda out of control and not a good shooting team.the best outside shooter they have and probably one of the best pure shooters in the district is hunter lemay but they keep him in the paint just because he's big.if they put him on the outside they would score more points and it would also open things up in the middle by bringing one of the opposing teams defenders out.

another big man that doesnt like contact and wants to be a guard...if he would park his big behind on the block and play like his size....then teams would have to dbl him thus opening up shots and drives for others...wins the genetic lottery god blessed him with length and weight kids kill for and he wants to play outside
