Agreed. Sometimes with speed teams it's all about "the cut". This should be a great game. I'm looking forward to it and hope both teams give it their all and come out injury free!

I'm basing that statement on the fact that injuries and your schedule have your team under rated. Now that your starters are back and with the size advantage on both the offensive and defensive lines, you should have an advantage. I actually wish we were playing at Catholic, our team speed would be a greater advantage on your turf.

Anyone saying this team/ program is soft hasn't watched them play this year. They are playing with more attitude and aggression than I have seen in years. On paper, Catholic should win, but these games aren't played on paper and I believe the Cats will be a real test for that soup cooler!

I can see your predictions happening...I think Brentwood doesn't stand a chance, but who knows? If Dyer plays like they did today they will lose to Siegel..Honestly, SW impressed me a ton more than any team i saw play today, period. If they play there game nobody stands a chance.

I was very impressed with all of their fundamentals, pre-game drills and calm workman like approach. THEY WIN IT ALL.

A great season and a great showing in the BORO.I thought when the cats got it to 6 late in the second, then Southwind banged a quick 3 and another 2 and got it back to 11, it took a lot out of the cats.

I didn't see Greene do anything to deserve the "T" either, that hurt too.

 

This team of scrappers should make every Wildcat darn proud!!! That team you played hard, will win it all.

I guess i am just "old school" i believe in giving the opponent you are playing the respect they deserve, no matter who they are. Especially if they have made it all the way to the state tournament..Everyone of these teams had to win a lot of games against a lot of teams to make it to this point, no matter who they played. I am a biased Oak Ridge fan of course, but i think we deserve just a little smidget of respect from other teams, at least. I'm sure you are a good guy, Nebuntyn, you just come over as a classless guy. Especially since you know nothing of Oak Ridge..We may lose by 35+, but if we were playing a 1A school i wouldn't be talking as much junk as you have..It has nothing to do with wearing my emotions on my sleeve, it's just a simple life principle of respecting your opponent..Nobody or no team is unbeatable..And if we do happen to win and a miracle happens you will really look like a fool. I am prepared to lose this game. I knew when the pairings came out it may end up being a long night for us, but like i said i guess i am just old school in how i show respect to an opponent, whether they deserve it or not. And i think we deserve a little bit for making it this far..Best wishes to southwind.

I've been called arrogant before and I will probably be called arrogant........Can I be a little arrogant? Probably! But I don't wear my feelings on my shoulders, and I will never give anyone that much control over my emotions. There are few people on CoachT that know me, i'm a good guy. Expectations are high indeed, but I think he loves it. The fan base will give him time. He has paid his dues here, we all know what he's capable of. I think the cats are going to be stronger than most think.

The hire was great for sure. The AD seemed to really talk positively about Gaddis the other night during his introduction. Maybe I was wrong a month ago when I thought the AD would be opposed or maybe the AD saw the wave of support was so great that he jumped on the bandwagon. Either way, I don't care. I loved what he said about Gaddis the other night, it was all true, and we have our man. A neighbor of mine who has lived here since the late 1940s said that he has NEVER seen the city this excited about anything. That's quite a statement. Can Gaddis possibly live up to these expectations? was it a good move for him to come back? This man must love pressure!

I don't care either. It doesn't matter why the AD is on board, lets just sail this ship!!

I think we are going to be better than some are thinking. Gaddis is getting athletes out of the halls already, Rumors of local tallent interested in coming to OR to play for him.

Yes, that was a great game we played against them. They had some tough guys. Took a great effort for us to beat them..To be honest Reed Hayes single handedly kept them in that game. Without him we beat them handily, imo.

I was impressed with how he stood in the pocket when he wanted to as well. I spent a lot of that game glad he didn't have recievers as good as his arm, would have turned out different.

Summers was a beast... I remember the QB, think his name was McMahan maybe... I like Oak Ridge's tradition before each game.

I have much respect for DB's program as well. Me and some friends have made it a kind of tradition the last few years of taking a trip to watch you guys and farragut on week 0. Always treated very well while visiting your place and always impressed with the facilities.

A few old traditions are returning to OR again, should be a great ride for the next generation of Wildcat players.

Without reading this whole thread....I'll make my prediction:

1. Lots of kids dressed out

2. More than enough team speed

3. A huge, involved fan base

4. A good coaching staff

5. Great facilities

All of this equals.....another great season. I wish we still had the chance to meet.

Are you serious? The community didn't have jsck to do with the hiring of Gaddis. Don't flatter yourselves. I am positive that the decision makers on this one didn't give a CRAP what the people on COACH-FREAKIN-T think about anything. How could they? You have women like 3wig on here acting like they know something. Come on girl. Back out gracefully. You have no clue about the hiring process because no one in the community knows other than the one's involved. I can see that the new coach has captured the imagination of a lot of people and the kids. That is something that the community and school have needed for a long time.

If I'm ignorant or lying, ask what happened last time around....then YOU can back out gracefully.....of Mullins butt. The only person that could possibly love Mullins like you has to be his wife so make ol slingblade some french fried pataters and some biscuits with mustard and stop trying to be witty.

 

Back to this forum..........I am excited for the basketball team and will attend at MTSU...but I can't wait for football season now. I bet the parking lots and the hill at the practice field will look like it used to with a lot of people showing up just to watch practice
