  1. Kazam37 the reason his team is still playing its a single A football team little single A teams dont need to git big headed. ALMOST any team in 3 A region 2 would kill EM I love T L and the job he has done @ ONEIDA but its like a MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM to the teams in REGION 2 3A where year in year out has a team @ the CHAMPIONSHIP. GOODLUCK GODBLESS

You don't even know Lambert. He wouldn't hang with people making these kind of comments about kids. However , he has worked with people that do! TL loves middle school football by the way! He helped coach it at Oneida, and helped get it started at Anderson Co, if my memory serves me right.

  2. Kerr may win some games, but don't act like he is good person. Am I the only one who saw him on tv friday night pushing his offensive cord. He gets what he wants by intimidating people. I agree that most coaches in the Anderson County system are good people.....Greg Deal, Andy Shatuck, Gary Terry, etc., but Kerr is a disgrace. Mark it down now, come playoff time the Mavs will fold. He wears down his teams, changes philosphy midweek, and makes everyone around him miserable. Anderson County should have let him go along time ago and not let Lambert get away. You want to know about Kerr, ask the people who have worked for him and left. He runs them off. I live in AC and went to school there, but I will not support Lying Larry.

I PROMISE YOU, there is no problem between Lambert and Kerr !!!!! Lambert loves the man. They talk on a regular basis. I am sure Kerr would like for him to come back, when he needs a place to work! AC is full of great people, from top to bottom. Kerr is a little intense at times, but ain't we all ???????

  3. Smitty,...I like you,! I can tell your a class act. I think you have this thread figured out. To summarize, Grace 27 Knox Central 21. It was like a boxing match,...fast and furious neither team took a starter out until it was over. It was very clear, the varsity was in a game jersey,...freshman, in practice jersey. Varsity played for 2 hours,..freshmen 30 min. The fresh/jv score was 7 to 7. Boy those Onieda fans can't stand it. I will say this,....Onieda better win ever game with the hype they are creating. Hat's off to coach Helton and his staff they too were a class act. It might have been one of the best things that could have happend to his program, unfortuantly it may be bad for Grace if it make them feel like world beaters. I wish the Cats the best of luck. If they stay healthy they will be hard to handle. Just ask the 120 that were dressed out for Jeff Co or the "tribe" up at DB. And as for Pujo,...I think my friend you have lost your "Mujo" You have really let this get to you and when you cry and complain people see your true colors. >>>Leonards Loser ....HAMPTON!

Please learn to read the posts before making a comment. The ONLY person commenting from Oneida is ASK ME . I wish ASK ME would shut their mouth . They do not represent anyone but themselves. You seem to be quick to call people out, maybe its a chip on your shoulder type of thing? Good luck to all teams this season.

  4. devrin is 5'7'' and 150 lbs dripping wet. ill be interested to see if he doesnt get snapped in half after a few carries. every week he will be going up against people who weigh more than twice as much as he does. i guess it doesnt matter if they dont catch him but nobody scores every time they touch the ball. to be honest i think he's way too hyped up his shear lack of size takes away from his ability to put up numbers on the field. anyone can put up numbers in the weight room or on the track. but i would like to see him prove me wrong

If this is the kid I am thinking about , he is a great athlete!!!! Did he go to the Addidas camp at UT this spring? I worked with the DB's, and if Young is the kid I am thinking about, he has GREAT POTENTIAL. Forget the size.................he's got the skills. I told him I was going to be keeping up with him. I believe he is only a SOPH. This cat can play guys, and he likes to compete. I'll take him !!!!!

  5. Do you live in the Gibbs community?

How are you connected with this Coach Jessie? How did you come to know him and his greatness?

Why would he move to the Corryton Community if there is no connection?

I understand his fiancee is a Gibbs girl?

If he is from the Cumberland Gap area? Would he be going back to Cumberland Gap when the Head Coaching position opened there?

Is he using Gibbs as a stepping stone?

What makes him so much better than the other candidates?

Will he be able to fit his system to the type of talent Gibbs has?

The point is this ever candidate has some kind of connection to Gibbs. Friends, family, fiancee, political, etc... With that being said the powers that be can't be influence by someone's social standing or their politics when selecting the new coach. I am not doubting that this young man has some good qualifications. But understand the other candidates will have similar if not better qualifications. Some will even have college playing experience. Which I don't consider mandatory, but if all things are equal College playing experience could be the deciding factor. Someone in the community is pushing this guy. That someone has an agenda. What it is I wouldn't phantom a guess. The folks that are pushing other candidates also have an agenda. I just want that agenda to be what is in the best interest of the community, school, and the football program. Not be tied up in politics, favors, or nepotism.

I have seen what poor hires have done to the boys basketball program at Central. It has all but destroyed it. I like many of you have an interest in the Gibbs program due to family. I just want to see that the administrators get it right. Hire the best man for the the job. Not the most connected. Not the most convenient. The best!

When they make the hire some will not like it but it is very important that the community get behind the new Coach and help him build a program.

You need to change your name to BLACK and BLUE, because that is what you have beaten this thing!!!!!!!!!! Coach Jessie would do a fine job. I am sure, and I know him both personally and professionally, he would not want the job if he was not the best man for the job.

  6. welp here we go again, playing the same ol white county ball, playing guys both sides of the ball, boys on the side line because they dont have the right last name. a coaches boy who wines and crys all the time and maken mistake after mistake, but yet hes being babied by dad,my sake give him a pacifier and put him on the side line.and yet his dad gets fired from the athletic director, and now coaching the line who his son is a linemen,go fig.my son is a starter so it dont make a diffrence to me,but youve got boys on side line busting theyre tails in the heat and can do a better job,but daddys a coach. Herd coach kerr tell another parent hes playn to win ,he would play who ever it took.well coach get you some nads and get the right boys on the line. one of the coaches who wasnt a coach last year was crying the boys are not having fun under brown, this was the reason he exclaimed everybody was quiting.well you have a diffrent head coach and yet less boys then you had last year.and still quiting and unless the head coach steps up and takes his role as a head coach therye are more about to quit.yea you want to have fun,but my god this is highschool football, these are young men not peewee football.

I know Coach Kerr presonally, and I can assure you that he is playing the best people! Take your pathetic comments elsewhere!

  7. QUOTE(ask_me @ Apr 12 2007 - 10:19 AM) 826435862[/snapback]No Brandon Davis.......no wins for Coalfield. Lambo and his Indians will own Coalfield from here on. The little jackets better buckle up to get hit this year.

This may be one of the most absurd things that I have ever heard! Anyone who knows Coalfield, knows that statement is bogus. The Indians have been "owned" by the Jackets for a while now! Coach Lambert has a ton of respect for Gary Kries and his staff. Last year's game was a hard fought classic, but again the team that knew how to win close games WON! That team was Coalfield. Oneida better get back to the things Jim May taught, the first being committed, second hard work, and the third being disciplined.

  8. So true. Its time to take it to Coalfield and smack them down big time. Lambo is in command.....O.........Neida is back atthe top.

Oneida needs to worry about trying, and I repeat, trying, to gain a fraction of the respect they once had. They need to let their play do the talking, not their mouth. I'm sure the coaching staff would appreciate it!

  9. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." Thanks for the BB material. Off season is lack luster w/o such motivation. But anyway, good luck to your new coach.

Coalfield doesn't need any help in the motivation dept. The JACKETS have a top notch program and staff. The offseason has yeilded tremendous results for them. They do it the old fashioned way, "HARD WORK".

  10. your knowledge of the prgram is non existent or, your brain is too small comprehend what Jim May accomplished, or maybe you are just stupid. he brought oneida from the doormat it had been for nearly a decade in just one year. he was first the to trade films with coaches within the district, and instill a weightlifting prgram, which led to many region championships, four final fours, and a state championship, among countless other successful seasons. maybe this is why he is in the Hall OF Fame! your remarks are disrespectful and uncouthe. stick to what you know- soccer and basketball?as far as naming the field for a coach, go back and look in the history books. names like jack beeler, bill jacobs, and ben daniels along with jim may stand out above the rest.

Well said TRITON, I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would still put the late Jim May in front of them all. I think he was as good as any in my lifetime IMPO!

  11. Can we go ahead and rename Oneida's field Lambo Field. No disrespect to Jim May but Lambo is the best coach this school has ever known. We can now starting planning to host playoff games and dominating the district again. Great Hire!

Are you kidding ? Jim May was one the best coaches in the state. Lambert will tell you that there will never be another man do half of what he did ! He was a legend!

  12. Oh my the TL fans are out to sell their product (once again) as they did with Powell. My goodness, let the poor man (Kerr) end on his own terms and not try to post him out of a job. We could always tell the "family" posts for TL when he applied for Powell. Personally, I hope Kerr stays, news on the street is we are playing them this year!!! What a tradition!!! GO PANTHERS!!

Thank God for "FAMILY"! I've always said, "GOD, Family, and Football." In that order my friends. You must be an ORPHAN with comments like this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coach Kerr and TL are close friends, and I assure you that TL wants Larry to do whatever he thinks is best. You better be careful about what you wish for. Kerr has a knack for beating Powell.

  13. Good luck to the Indians this week. I want to see #8 play one more time. I'm kind of partial to kids who wear that number.

You da MAN Oskie!!!!!!!!! Hope things work out so you can. I'm with you on the kids wearing #8. I have a lot of memories about those kids! All of them were fun to watch.
