  1. Good to see the TN paper with their prediction of the Commandos losing to HC. We need more of this. We want page after page of gloom & doom, just like we enjoyed last year. The chest-thumpers are strangely absent. Hmm...

Thanks for the food suggestions, we had a great meal last year at the Cajun place.

Hopefully we'll have a good, close game with nobody getting hurt going to, from or at the game.

The guys are ready, heck, my son got up on his own for practice this morning! All the parents are shaking their heads in disbelief but it's true!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! We are all blessed with family & friends and living in the great state of TN!

    GO COMMANDOS!

  2. you wanna know about our offense?

we have outscored our opponents 406-172

we also have an over 1000 yard rusher (chris martin) and another running back that has almost five hundred in the playoffs alone (tradarius goff)... and thats just the running attack the passing game aint to shabby either.

I'll either congratulate ya'll tomorrow or you'll do the same for us. Right? The fact that we have so much talent in the Middle TN area is a win for both teams. But that trophy is coming to the HHS Commandos!

  3. Ridgeway player got ejected last night for tryin to upper cut one of Hendersonville players. Thats my thought

I asked my son about this play & he said that the H'ville player said, after owning the R'way dude, "you ain't got "caca" you little "kittycat" & the guy punched his face-mask. Perfect, if you ask me. My mama would've blushed if there was a mic on our line. F150 from HC started this "dirty players" crap with the "eye gouging" and it is bull....

These guys are grappling/grabbing anything they can in the trenches. That's why a cup is recommended by the TSA! ;)

Fly much, F150? Maybe band camp next year? Hmmm...

    GO COMMANDOS!

  4. Heck, we'll have a great time. It's the parts North of ya'll & South of us that have a bit of "Yankee" flavor to 'em. ;) We'll tailgate & have a blast with ya'll. Congrats to both teams for going this far and representing the two best teams in 5A. My prediction? 17-14 H'ville.

    GO COMMANDOS!

Anybody remember the Columbia Spiegel auction where the guy used to give $100 bills to the kids? That was fun. But we still gotta take State, sorry... ;)

  5. Ridgeway has some amazing talent. I don't think I've ever seen that many super-fast dudes on one team before. But I saw a lot of lazy blocking & poor execution Fri night on their part. Heck, if I was used to the RB hitting the corners & streaking down the field all season long I might get a little lazy too. ;) But it cost them this time, big time. Special teams were a disaster for them. That lonely kicker didn't have a chance on some of those plays. Was it because the line grew complacent in not having to hold their blocks 'cause of the speedy dudes? I don't know. Our D stunts aren't rocket science, I think this one falls squarely on the coaches shoulders. Back to the kicker. Vanderbilt has an excellent kicking camp in early June. Send him to it. You can thank me next Fall!

H'ville plays as a team. THAT'S the difference, in a nutshell, from other teams. I'm tellin' ya, you might think you got it goin' on but Coach Hat & his staff have some sort of juju that, if bottled, would bring big bucks. Their cohesiveness is simply amazing. It reminds me of a team from my youth in Alexandria, VA. T.C. Williams. Of Remember The Titans fame. I was a Freshman in the stands (only JV & Vars dressed out) and those guys were a MACHINE. Hayfield Hawks got owned & we had some individual talent. Didn't stand up to a concerted team effort though. THAT will beat individual talent every time. See Ridgeway/H'ville score.

  6. Let me preface this post by saying that I realize that players, fans & coaches might read this. In no way is it meant to disparage, belittle or hurt anyone. My son plays for H'ville and my hackles would be raised if someone dogged him specifically on a 'net board. Unless he did something to embarrass the school & unfortunately, our family. Then, I think we can all agree, his butt would be in a sling when he got home! ;) I'm new here, I thought I'd get that straight first. It's merely my opinion/observation. With that said...

Sorry for the long rant about Ridgeway, HC had some incredible talent also and played much more as a TEAM. It's just that RW was the uppermost in my mind.

Get your bleachers fixed. Take up a sheetmetal donation or something before you get sued.

Make H'ville the underdog, they thrive on it. Adversity brings them even tighter together. The student body/fans/parents/team are united. 12th man indeed. See ya'll at the State Championship! GO COMMANDOS!

This is a great site/resource. Thank you for putting it together!

  7. FYI -- We left from H'ville during a heavy traffic time known as "rush hour" AND there was an overturned tractor trailer blocking the interstate outside of Clarksville, where we sat for more than thirty minutes. With the delays it took nearly three hours to get to Henry County.

And by the way, we know exactly where we're going. . . to COOKEVILLE. We'll be there Friday night for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a bad wreck. The way that cab was torn up I hope the driver was O.K. Our H'ville fans are the BEST! I think they are too loud sometimes when we have the ball but it doesn't seem to bother Hunter & the guys so, ROCK ON TO STATE!
