  1. Blue devils over the mildcats 20-7. Can't stop #8 "Last year's missed prediction"

Devils will win 38-6. "This year's missed prediction"

Just be glad coach Porter is not drinkin the same BDP Kool Aid.

JR is recovering well for the Bobcats. Unfortunatley, we have had numerous concussion injuries this year.

Here's to a another great, injury-free, game. :thumb:

    Go Bobcats!

What actually makes you think Greenbriar going to win this game? they barely beat a Portland team that hasnt won in like 3 years. There is no way the bobcats win tihs game. BDP 49-6

  2. Goodpasture's best player was hurt last year you stooge! Devon McClain is prolly the best player in the district along with Grace. Along with McClain GP has Lynn and a transfer from Greenbrier that was ineligible last year in Sam Rhoten. GP will win this district and the only team that has anyting to say about that will be Macon

Actually Heisman, Devon McClain has transfered to White's Creek. That being said my main man Dallas Grace is the undisputed best player in the district. I do believe Macon will win this district and GP will finish 2nd after the McClain transfer. Tough blow for the Cougars!

  3. A great game each and every year. Always bad blood between the two squads. This one will be a hard nose nasty football game. Who you got in this one and why? I got Sycamore 22 Greenbrier 20. :popcorneater:

Well Sycamore stinks. And so does Greenbrier. haha :roflol: That being said: In the battle of the toilet bowl i will have to take Sycamore 20-14. I'm not sure this game will be worth the $6 to get in :roflol:

  4. Extremely hard game to watch. Very little offense for either team. I expected that from Greenbriar but not from SPringfield. I dont think GB had much over 100 total yards in that game. Yellow Jackets played mediocre, but they still pulled out a good win. if you're a fan of defense you would have loved that one

  5. I disagree... but i'm looking forward to the start of this year's season.

    My preseason picks:

1.GP-a healthy GP team wins district

2.Macon- Good team GP/Macon games will be fun to watch

3.WH-down this year but with 9AA down they will still be fine

4.Greenbrier-yes GB will go to regions :roflol:

5.Sycamore-lost everyone (including Worsley haha) but J. Dick and Gentry

    6.Westmoreland- STINKS!

I must say Soulsurvivor34, your 3-6 picks look spot on but I do believe us Macon Tigers will show everybody how it's done this year. That being said Macon wins district and White House stinks!!

  6. This year could be very different for 9aa. I see Macon Co. and Gooodpasture having really good chances to get to sectionals. We'll just have to hope the injury bug doesn't bit Goodpasture this year.

You heard it here folks: Macon CO. will win the district!! Goodpasture ain't got nothing on us country folk!!

  7. i'm living in the present and i'm letting you know how the future is going to be

    white house

    49

    greenbrier

3 (only because we let the freshman get some experience)

I'm not sure how the Bobcats would get those three points... because from what i have seen the past few years they don't have anyone on their roster that can consistently make field goals hahahaha

  8. You are living here just as much as I am old man. I love messing with you because like I said on the basketball forums.......you are as simple minded as they come :roflol:

Williams is a great coach and you wouldn't be able to carry his whistle on your best day. Maybe people like you is why the Bradshaw kid decided to leave and head for greener pastures.

I'd be willing to bet that you are that foolish old-timer who swung his cane at the guys at the scorer's table last basketball season. Good job "Jethro" :roflol:

Greenbrier Football & Coaches are a PLUS to me!

Greenbrier Fans on CoachT are a bunch of simple minded hicks.......YES that definitely starts with you!

I just don't think it's very nice to be calling GB people hicks just because of one dummy... You need to chill out (both of you)... This is a football thread not a crap talking thread goodness gracious, i can't believe a bunch of 45 year old men are goin at it on a public forum. You guys are jokes

    RETARDED

  10. Let's keep this about the games that are played, not rumor mill. If the kid is out for the year, sorry to hear that.

any truth to the rumor that Newman got hurt in the 2nd Sycamore-Goodpasure game?

  11. Any truth to the rumor that GP's Hunter newman is out for the season?

And i also heard that GP's leadoff man quit? If this indeed is true I think Sycamore and Greenbrier may be battling it out for the district crown, but we still can't sleep on GP

  12. Show me another AA team with a tougher non-district schedule than that.

CPA: Red Bank, Ensworth, Station Camp, Cannon Co, Brentwood, Livinston Acad, Beech just to name a few. All these teams above are in the top 150 in the state

  13. I think it will be a good game. I think the way the game is officiated will go a long way in deciding this game also. I attended some 10AA tournament games and some 9AA tourney games. 10AA was much more physical and refs allowed alot more contact than the 9AA games. 9AA had more handchecks/touch fouls called. Not saying it creates an advantage either way but one of the teams will have to adjust to a different style.

You heard it here folks, UPSET alert: Whites Creek over Sycamore!! I'm calling it and it's gonna happen

  14. Just my opinion, the strength is the conditioning and depth. The War Eagles dress out 11 players, the 11th a Sophmore and future point guard. As for the other 10, you could pick any 5 to start.

That being said, you gotta love their deep game, too!

Yeah Sycamore may have the deepest bench in the midstate. They are very disciplined on defense and play very hard. They will put up a fight against anybody

  15. Can we please stop this bickering about CPA? Start another topic if ya'll want to discuss the nuances of religion and athletic politics. Does anyone have any thoughts on the upcoming Region 5AA tournament? I believe that, contrary to popular belief, that the District 9 teams will not be shut-out. Challenging as it may seem, I believe that a mistake is being made if anyone over looks the 9AA teams. Macon Co, White House, and Sycamore are no slouchs and can play ball. Just cause you can dunk the ball doesn't mean anything. Although my heart is with White House, I believe that CPA will win the Region and move on to the State. Question, who was the POY and tourny MVP in 10AA?

POY was Jaleel Queary from Maplewood and tourney MVP was Jalen Lindsey from CPA. They could beat the Bloe Devils 2 on 5 lol ha ha ha ha ha jk pitchfork lol

  16. Big D, You really didn’t do your homework before you posted this did you.

    1. Goodpasture........Return there QB&FB but graduate everything to go with them.

    2. Macon County…...Return some good players but LOST TO WH 37-6

    3. Greenbrier...........Lose EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING!

    4. White House.......RETURN EVERYTHING!

    5. Westmoreland…..LOST TO WH 41-7

    6. Sycamore...........Lost to WH 29-8

    So let’s go....

    1. White House

    2. Goodpasture

    3. Macon Co.

    4. Greenbrier

    5. Westmoreland

    6. Sycamore

It's a three way battle for 1st between White House, Goodpasture, and Macon. I see GP or WH having the upper hand, but you Macon fans seem to think different, so, whatever. Greenbriar, Sycamore, and Westmoreland are pretty much fighting for not finishing in dead last because unless they transfer in the likes of Tom Brady they will stink up the district. ha ha ha ha

  17. Interesting that when whitehouse beat westmoreland they shot 13 or so threes. One the rematch they only shot 5or six threes and lost. Heads up for the coaches... Shut down the whitehouse three point games and they will lose.... Perhaps. Running thru game stats at the tennessean seem to bear this out.

On the night the best team won, no doubt and i would be the first the congratulate whitehouse.. I do think sycamore will adjust their game and come up winners on the rematch.

Someone asked when syamore play macon again, its tomorrow night at sycamore i believe and hopefully the predicted storms wont interfere. I will never forget being locked in at fairview threeyears ago when the tornadoes hit just down the road from the school

according to the tennessean my Tigers take on the Bobcats of Greenbrier tomorrow night. Unless Macon is playin a double header tomorrow, you will not see them at Sycamore lol. What other district games are on Tap?

  18. I disagree. Those kids work just as hard as everyone else and when they get an opportunity to play, coach tells them not to play, just hold it. No way. They have earned that moment, in my opinion.

Now, i see your point. If the coach puts them in say with may 2 or 3 minutes left sure, try to score, but when you have the ball with only seconds left why score? There's no point. The defense doesn't even try anyway :popcorneater: When does macon play Sycamore again? i would love to see that one

  19. You have no idea what you are talking about. The reason the bench went crazy against Goodpasture was because a kid that had been a manager for the team until his junior year, worked his butt off all year, got to dress varsity, got in the game and had a steal, a rebound, a free throw and an assist on the 3 at the buzzer. If you dont think it is a great thing for our team to be excited for him, you dont have a heart.

And against Greenbrier that "some kid" is a freshman who has an older brother on the team who is a senior. It was the first and maybe the only time they were on the floor together. The senior Fuqua passed the ball to the freshman Fuqua and he scored. Those are special moments for our team and we don't really care what you think about it because those kids will remember that forever.

You don't shoot buzzer beaters when you are up double digits, that's just not right. I don't care if you have a 7th grader out there it's just not something you do. Just hold the ball out and wait for time to run out
