Moore county could win this one by 30, Vandy chris you need to worry about Summertown getting back to the glass house they had their hands full with huntington or so it looked that way.

When you play teams in the district and region as many times Clay County has, they should be able to know what to do against a specific team.   (Beat Clarkrange and almost defeat Pickett County); however playing a team you've only seen on film gives the better athletes a huge advantage.  look for Moore County to come out fast and hard.  This could easily be another blowout for Moore County.  Don't expect the 8 senior loaded girls of Moore County to go down easily, especially at home in front of a rambunctious crowd.

hey Kirsten, can you give everybody on here an update on how you are doing and what's next for you?

Moore County travels, look for crowd to be even, only home team advantage may be with the officials. look for logan, lockhart and Thomas to have a big game as Moore County wins by 4-8 going away.

even at Summertown and without //hawkins, Moore County pulls it out by defense

down to two teams...... can Moore County come out firing on all cylinders and find a way to slow down Yost or will Forrest have their way with the girls from Lynchburg?

again whoever plays the hardest the longest comes away with the victory Wednesday night.

In championship games you have to make the little plays, loose balls, free throws, and lay-ups and rebound. Post play for the Raiderettes have come alive with 6'2" center Lockhart showing up to play since first round of district.

Should be a great game to watch, Moore County has too much for Forrest in this game.  I like Moore County by 6 to 10.

Now that we're down to the final 16 teams, things are becoming a little clearer on who can advance.

from regions 1 & 2  there are South Greene, Hampton, Meigs Co., and Oneida

from regions 3 & 4  there are Van Buren Co, Marion Co, Clarkrange, and Pickett Co

from regions 5 & 6  there are Forrest, Moore Co, Perry Co., and Summertown

from regions 7 & 8  there are Dresden, Huntrington, Trinity Christian and Middleton

Great game by the Raiderettes of Moore County tonight playing 4 quarters, though sleeping through the first. Also congrats to Forrest for their big win tonight.

Rematch of District 9A Semi-finals set for Monday night at Eagleville. Forrest\Huntland at 6 PM followed by Moore County\Community at 7:30 with winners advancing to sub-state or sectionals.

Whover plays the hardest the longest prevails and advances on!!!

Moore County led 43-9 at halftime to cruise to easy first round win looking forward to Monday night at Eagleville.  Congrats to all 4 district 9a teams in opening wins!!

district 9a is so tough this year, it has made our district as good as district 7 this year.  I expect complete domination by all 4 district 9 teams on Friday night!!

ok its time to look ahead now.  After Friday nights first round of regionals, it could and should be the same district semi-final games again Huntland/ Forrest    Community\Moore Co for the chance to make it to the Sectional Game (old Sub-State) Game

Should be another great game between Huntland and Moore County on Saturday night.  I expect to possibly see one or more games between the two of them as we head into region play

a 3 by logan, a missed front end of one and one by community and a rebound and drive to the basket for a layup by hawkins

It's very possible.  Depends on how the Raiderettes come out to play.  If MC comes out hot early, it could be a long night for Community. If not, it could go down to who takes the last shot.

looking forward to tournament time; top 4 teams should get ready to meet again in regional semis and finals; district 10 appears to be the weaker of the two districts this year.

I've picked my final eight after looking at each district and each region, I see it something like this

South Greene

Northfield Academy

Clarkrange

Pickett County

Moore County

Forrest

Gleason

Greenfield

it's absolutely great living in an area where multiple teams from our district have a great chance to making it to Murfreesboro this year.  It may not happen, but wouldn't it be great to be able to match the district 7 super powers of class 'a' basketball and send two teams from our district.

Moore county's Kursten Hawkins should be considered leading her team in scoring for the past two years and also reaching the 2000 point plateau. she's capable of playing every position on the floor and at times this season has done just that.

The stretch run is upon us all.  It all comes down to which team can get hot and stay hot for the next two to three weeks.  Several teams playing very well right now, even teams near the bottom not giving up yet, but playing really hard as well.  Looks like on a neutral floor--Community might be even with Houston County...pretty interesting for the whole district to see that.  keep on fightin' raiderettes
