Mount juliet will host the Mount juliet DUALS, this first ever AAU club team dual event at mount juliet middle school, we will host the top AAU tot-junior teams in the state. This will be a 10 team event The weight classes for the I-40 DUALS event will be: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 108, 116, 125, 135, 148, and HWT up to 230 lbs. all wrestlers must be on your team, no fill ins from other clubs!!! we will have some forfeits but this will encourage teams to grow in #s. this will be great for tennessee wrestling!!! stay tuned there are other TN youth dual events in the works!! this will be a special year for youth wrestling in TN!!

If your middle school team is recoginzed by the school board in your county and the county school board will be liable for the complete team and coaching staff you are a school team! that clears it up for me.

sorry for the confusion, i will get a clear answer shortly.

i just got off the phone with TSSAA= AAU and school teams cant mix, as far as a middle school dual tournament it will not be a problem, as long as the teams and wrestlers are an official school team (not aau club team) and its during the schools official season everyone can compete even if its not a TMSAA school, we can have teams from all over the state and even out of state. must be an official school team !lets do it we need 8 middle school teams !

is it an insurance issue?

with all the different middle school restraints, i doubt we will ever be able to have a serious event that is even close to what our current 6 year olds wrestlers are used to?? how can we fix middle school wrestling state wide??

the middle school event is going to be a problem!! there is great youth wrestling and great high school wrestling, Middle school is where tennessee is missing the boat! how can we get it to where the middle school teams can compete state wide???

if we get enough interest we would love to have a 2 day k-5 AAU and a (non AAU) middle school(school team only) dual tournamnet? so dont give up yet??? im just checking interest level early before all the schedules get set in stone.. if you have a MS team and your interested please get on board! Any youth coaches interested in a k-5 club team dual tournament? no all star teams just your basic club team? this will happen in season. we will need 8 teams. who is in?? first weekend in january mount juliet will host this event at the middle school as long as it does not conflict with any other aau events. this is not set in stone!!! we are wanting to see how many teams want to compete in a dual format! if we get 6 more teams we will get it scheduled!!! please spread the word and lets make it happen teams are 1. mount juliet 2.clarksville
