You dont have to scout 2 years out to know white county and warren county suck. THEY DO EVERY YEAR! Macon, Livingston, White House and Dekalb might all be history after the first round.So this leaves your one truely tough game against a 1a school Gordonsville. Trousdale is right down the road....play them.

 

Look at Trousdale playing Warren Central in KY 6a, Signal Mountain playing Blackman 6a, Alcoa playing the 6a state champion Maryville. You cant sit here and tell me Smith knowing tired to schedule a tough schedule outside there already weak ( we know they cant help this) district. You are the silly looking one. There lack of a gold ball shows somehtingis not getting the playoff ready with all the 10-0, 9-1, or 8-2 teams they have had that stumbled in the playoffs. They struggled even in the first round of playoffs verse east Lit. Does TC or Alcoa ever struggle in the first round? Get real.

SC can put up points quick and Macon can as well...offenses are equal. The best defense will win this one. I know how good SCs defense can be and I think we pound Macon and pull away in the 4th. SC45 MC28

Sounds like there are several good 3A backs. With that being said I would have to go with Dalton Boles. Has 950 yards in 4 games, he ran a 4.47 40 at VMI's camp on the laser, a 4.0 shuttle, benches 405 lb, and squats well over 550 lb. I find all that hard to argue against but we will see where the numbers fall at the end of the season. This isn't a knock against West Greene lineman but Alcoa's line is a lot different than WG's! By the way Dalton had over 100 yards on 11 carries last year in the playoff game against Austin East.

And as far as bench press for a running back who cares long as its decent cause last time I checked u didn't run the ball with ur arms and chest and pilling up a bunch of yards on really bad teams doesn't make you a great running back either

well on top of his freakish strength jalen manning also runs a 4.5 40... not setting world records but that strength on that speed.....pretty good to be a sophomore lol

We picked up white house?? We are tryin to get better teams to play us...pretty certain we beat trousdale two out if the last three times we played em. We play up not down. I know the kid as well...he's not the type of kid that would hurt himself like that. He's just a natural FREAK !!! When I first heard I didn't believe it but I've seen it now. No help at all just a kid with a great pedigree and who puts in a lot of work in the weight room.

What a game....hats off to both coaching staffs an the defenses. Offenses looked awful but maybe both defenses are jus that good. Gutsy call at the end but maynord showed he had balls. Owls oline needs to get better....much better but Gvilles dline played like some men....got my heart pounding jus as bad as it was two years ago

Let me give y'all one to watch. Jalen Manning from Smith County. The kid is a sophmore but can play. Has size,speed, and strength. He has a huge,experienced line (average over 300 lbs) in front of him. Had 181 yards against White Country in 12 carrys

Agreed the kid is a beast....bench press 400 squat500+ an runs around a 4.4 or 4.5.....jus a sophomore too....jus check the paper an watch him start takin over games. Went to several big recruiting camps this summer an word is hes one of the top sophomores is the nation

You said it nothing to gain and everything to lose. Sometimes it's harder to get a team up and not overlook anybody. But losing to G-Ville wouldn't be the end of the world for the Owls but it SURE WOULD HURT. This game is about PRIDE..BRAGGING RIGHTS..ETC.

I'm pretty sure they wont over look the tigers like before but that doesn't mean they wont make mistakes. Your right lots more than just a W or a L in the books....its something you have to live with for a year or if a Sr......for life.

One word answer......YES. That however would be kinda personal and any kid with a problem is NEVER funny. Hope he gets back on track and sooner rather than later.

This game will be your basic backyard brawl just like any ARCH-RIVAL game. On paper the Owls should be the favorite, but everyone knows how that goes. Throw out all the records and all the past games and get ready for a hard hitting game this friday night.

 

I think it will take a mighty effort by the Tigers to win and a even mightier effort by the Owls to overcome the hostile enviroment, crowd and stay focused to keep their season unblimished.

There are 3 game changers for SC.....Cody Webb and trey Salisbury I think will have huge night for sc. Couple sacks an big hits a piece. And of course if manning can run like he did last week but the biggest game changers is the dbs......Gville will try to hit big passes early and get momentum. The dbs best play thier best or this could get hairy quick..... but I believe the coaches got this covered an sc comes away with this one an pulls way ahead in the second half.....still think sc 31 Gville14

On another note, I'm sure SC remembers the slow start that last trip. I don't really look for it to be that way again. I remember 2 trips ago, though, little faster start and the Tiger O couldn't get out of their own endzone.
