I'd disagree with the officials hurting C'Field more. Oneida's two leading scorers and point guard were on the bench for most of the first half. #10 stepped up for OHS to keep it from being a complete blowout at half.
The extracurricular activity after the game was ridiculous. Whoever decided to put Oneida's student section behind Coalfield's bench definitely regrets that decision.

Just from looking at the scores, it's obvious Oneida isn't playing much defense. Gave up 66 points or more every game.

All four games I've seen this year have been similar. Three different officiating crews, but they're calling it very tight this year so far. Kids better be able to shoot free throws because there will be plenty.
-
I've been round the Reservation this week. Coaches seemed focused. The boys seemed focused. All comes down to execution in this one. The Indians did a fair job containing the 'Kees offense in the first matchup. We'll see if they can do the same tonight.
-
I expect a great effort from the Indians tonight. It's a tall order against the 'Kees, but I'm betting that road record improves by one more game. Oneida 24-20.

If the kid is cleared by doctors then you play him. The backup was our best WR before the injury. With Clore in the backfield and Parker at QB then our offense switches from one dimensional to being able to do either successfully.
I got ye. Wasn't trying to ruffle feathers.

Hes expected back this week. This will be 6 weeks since surgery.
Don't know if I'd risk him playing. Sophomore with tons of potential. If he reinjures it, believe the Henrys would regret it. That backup looked fine slinging it last night.

None of you think OD beats Oneida?
They gave Oneida a fight in the 1st half if I recall correctly. Just don't have enough depth to compete for four quarters.
-
Indians should roll. Oakdale just doesn't have enough depth to compete.
-
Don't see Coalfield having much trouble against Cloudland. That defense is legit. Great 2nd half by both teams tonight.
-
Impressive drive by the Jackets. Indians couldn't adjust to the passing game.
-
Big play by #44 for the Indians. That play was all him.
-
It was an awkward area. Too short to punt. INT worked out for the Indians.
-
Three passes, three completions, 60 yards and a TD with a couple of runs.
-
Oneida has to air it out at some point. Nothing doing up the middle against CHS.
-
No QB. Single wing in full. Game is on wbir.com for a live broadcast.

That's about as high a praise of a coach that an opposing fan could give.Show me a team that don't have to throw the football and I'll show you a team that win,s every week. It takes a heck of a line and good backs to get by like that, but I've seen it on several accasions . Very few high schools can get by just passing the ball and a good mix helps a lot. I'm sure TL and staff knows their strengths but you are not always better than the other team. I don't think Oneida has lost any shockers as of yet. They'll probably win the games they should. I love the way the kids are taught and they are learning some more valueable lessons than football. Oneida is in good hands and they will be JUST FINE.I'd let my kids play for Lambert in a skinny minute.

Everybody's up in arms this week it seems like. Let's all take a breath and let TL and the staff iron out the details. As someone mentioned earlier, it's a marathon not a sprint, and here we are complaining about a trip out of the gate.

Turnovers were killers for the Injuns tonight. 2 50 yard plus scoop and scores and a failed punt attempt just killed all momentum. Greenback came ready to play and deserve all the credit for a big win.

Injuns by 7.

I agree that Hampton and OHS should get together and set up a home and home series during the regular season. Move the game up 30 minutes and let them slug it out. Two dang fine teams that are similar and would be a good matchup year to year. Oneida has had its ups and downs over the years but I believe this game would be a good test for both teams year to year.
As an Oneida fan, I would appreciate if everybody just doesn't pay attention to ask_me. He doesn't have any answers and we don't claim his ignorant butt. Congrats to Hampton on a fine season and help us back the Injuns against Oliver Springs this Friday.

Sounded like a couple personal fouls did the Dogs in tonight to get Oneida into scoring position. Tough breaks but sounded like a great game.

Conversion fails

Hampton 16

Oneida interception! OHS-20 HHS-16. Hampton with 2 timeouts left.

I don't disagree that Brown sitting hurt Coalfield, but having three starters sitting most of the 1st half helped build that 15 point lead. Two fairly even teams couldn't determine the game because the whistles were inconsistent, and sometimes completely missing.
Regardless, I'll be cheering for the Jackets Saturday night. Parker is a class act and a heck of a lot of fun to watch.
