Im with ccDL92, no one can stop Johnson! He plays RB but can be split out wide. If Johnson would play at OR, Fulton or Central he would be mentioned in about every best player thread that is on Coach T! He has speed, size and toughness! CC does not have to play "great" to win they have to play "good"! If CC plays decent and hop on Johnson's back they should win by two TD's!! Good luck to both teams!

Thanks for the insight! The part about the QB scares me a lttile, especially since we aint been tested through the air that much. If it is a low scoring game, I will be very very very suprised!!!

I agree with you possum. CC defense in the scrimmages has been very very lackluster at best. They lined up wrong to many times to count in the scimmages I saw, that being said that can definetly be fixed. The corners are a problem, but game situations and game type speed should help them, hopefully that ain't to late! The offense is very potent! The offensive line has been blocking very well, and with with Chris Johnson in the backfield every play could be a TD! I think CC comes out and establishes a run game and pulls away at the end and wins by a couple of TD's!

I believe JC losin Shiverdecker helps us greatly! If I'm not mistakin they lose alot on the O-line as well! But keep in mind this definetly does not mean a win, just look at Clinton last yr!

I heard that Coach Shouse and an assistant from Sevier County will share Defensive responsibilties for the upcoming season! Could be a rumor though.

That's definetly not who I heard! I heard he is an assistant with a school in the region. Look for the new coach and a coach that's already been there to share defense responsibilty!

I belive Coach Wells has hired one but i don't know who it is!

Since Coach Wampler is gone who is availbale to become the DC at CCHS? Who would be a good fit, and help the Cougars go to the playoffs again?

What a night of bball! Clinton vs Maryville was one of the best games i have ever seen, u couldnt have wrote it any better a flippin fire drill before the biggest free throws maybe of his career! chsbbfan, good points, but in CC it's not that easy, we have what you would call "good ol boy politics" these people have grew up together in CC and really dont care if we win as long as their buddy or relative has a job! I would love CC basketball to regain some power, we have some really good fans here that know the game, just like CHS, but its something unfortunaltely we cant control.

Yes CC went to the sub-state i believe in the 00-01 year. They lost to a very good Greenville team by I believe 12. Since then they have not been very good. In the past CC has not had much talent to work with, but this yr the talent is there it is 90% coaching. The coach is a good man but CC needs a fresh new face if they ever want to get back to what they used to be.
