What main players are graduating this year? I heard jv and frosh did ok this year? looks like we'll be ok but another super weak schedule next year.

You guys are having alot of fun with this but I fully expect this game to be much like last year. I think Mr. Haynie tries harder to beat DB than Carter did. Carter's problem was he thought he could out coach Graham. Mr. Haynie knows he can't out coach Clark so he tries a completly different method. He wants the Tribe to come in overconfident and soft. He wants his team to lay the hard hits, cause turnovers etc. I think this year he throws another twist to the game. I think he will run fake punts, onside kicks, fake field goals and go for it on forth down anytime he's past his own 40. Look for some trick plays.Also expect some "baiting" of the DB players, especially #50. The Tribe just need to keep their heads screwed on straight. He knows South has nothing to lose so he'll go for broke. I think it will make the game interesting until the forth quarter when DB pulls it out. South is not the bad team you guys are making them out to be. They will finish second or third in the Little Big Eight. Don't expect a blowout tomorrow night. You will be disapointed.

Clark will have his Indians ready for anything Haynie does. pass rush creates havoc for rebels and BIG CHIEF says rebels fall to Indians for 18th time in a row 49-7! then BIG CHIEF will smoke peace pipe at 50 yard line. all are welcome to join me!

Just heard the gameplan for tomorrow night from Coach Clark. We're going to start the freshman team and spot the Rebels 35 pts. The freshman will play the first quarter, the jv to play the second quarter and the varsity to play the second half. This will ensure a more competitive game and keep the fans coming back to this game every year. The attendance has decreased every year for the last few years and we're missing out on the larger crowds. Oh yeah, the Tribe will still win 49-35. Roll Tribe!!!!!!!!!

I heard south was losing 14-0 to North in a recent scrimmage. uh-oh rebs! after tomorrow night you will wish you only got beat 44-0!

We just have to be the best team friday night.I can see a lot of bad combinations that could result in a South win.They will put 8 or 9 close to the line and make us throw it some.We have a great QB in the making,but if something happens like a bad cramp or anything to keep Cook from being 100%.WHO will be able to throw the ball.Our defense is very strong up front but could get a little turned around if South does that roll and pass thing they do.I never count them before it's over.I do expect us to have a great game and win,but if we don't execute on both sides,we could get beat

I heard if db qb goes down Clark is going to bring in his secret backup- #44 WACO!!

so what can we expect to see from south friday night? is the qb as good as some of the previous ones? what about a running game? what's the defense look like? how's your kicking game? will the coaches have the team ready for the tribe at j-fred?

I believe South should and will win 38-0.

That one did take the air out of South. I think that game sent Carter packing. The South fans were calling on him to run the score up on DB all week before the contest. They actually thought the score was going to be something like 60-0. Do you know which game was my favorite? Well I'll tell you. It was 2006 when DB won 44-0. The talk was much the same except it started in mid July that year. They had the great Curt Phillips at QB. Im not sure but I think he had negative yards passing in that game. If not it was close to it. Yep, it was 2006, 44-0!

just think. if carter had not cancelled two games a few years ago, the streak would be at 20 after friday.

Well the "because i said it happened" doesnt fly on the internet you "dill-weed" and if your asking me, in the past 10 years, (which is all I can seem to find record of) south has gone one and done 4 times with 3 of those times being before the program got turned around. If you really want to look at it closer, in the past 5 years alone, South has gone one and done once (last year) and db has gone, oh whats that?db has gone one and done 4 out of the past 5 years? yes. And by trying to insult my intelligence you only hurt yours. The fact of the matter is, you get your kicks from thinking you out-witt and and out-smart people on the internet. its actually really sad how much enjoyment you get from it. i feel sorry for you. and you can bash me all you want db fans but you all know its true. he has almost 7000 posts... get a life away from "bullying" people on the internet.

 

oh and before you say it. you beat us 44-0 in 06'. congrats, theyre all graduated now. good luck on friday night.

i've been to every south/db game since the first one in '81. love beating those rebels! i think the worst defeat in south history was 09 game. everybody thought south would win. this was the game to end the streak. db 1-4 and south 5-0 and number 1 in state, playing at south. db 42-28 with south stands emptying in third quarter. anybody disagree?
