  1. Your name suits you I'm glad you have never made a mistake in your life and why you would post something like that shows how small a person you are and coachh lost all respectability by posting what was in the paper in his rankings coach we can read no need to state what's known. Let's keep peoples personal lives out of this and keep it to what this forum is Basketball. No need to ever get on here again.

  2. Well I guess ill be the first one to start this .Leon is out as teacher @ coach caught red hand on tape stealing out of a teacher purse money and pills the players came forth with money gone during practice .Who will be the next head coach with a good team that needs a leader before its to late

  3. Rankings again look good for now. Anyone know when McCurry from Elizabethton might be back? Losing Depew is a big blow. She is a talented player.

She won't be from what I've heard out of Elizabethton. She has turned in her uniform and quit as of this morning. Could be a rumor we'll see Friday i guess..
  4. For me it was either SG/Grainger or Hampton/NG. Glad I picked the latter. Was curious to see how Hampton#10 would respond to NG being ranked ahead of them in the polls. With the Dogs body of work i was expecting them to be ranked higher. Thought they might feel like they were being disrespected and want to prove a point. But the way the 1st half looked I was a little shocked I expected a better effort. But thats the way Hampton has been playing lately digging a hole and then storming back with guts, heart and amazing effort. But as the season wears on that may take a toll the girls looked emotionally and physically exhausted after the win. Id heard talk before the game Dugger was sick and early on she couldn't find her usual good stroke. Morrow and mcnese didnt disappoint they came out clicking and the dogs put the Huskies in the bonus early. By my count NG had hit 5 3's 1 2 pt fg and 12 ts for their 29 1st hlf pts. Whatever Coach Tolley said at the hlf he should bottle it up and sell it. The Lady Dogs came out on fire torching the nets for 30 pts in the 3rd with the Bowers kid pushing the tempo i had her with 6 assists in the 3rd and Dugger heating up and the Olvera kid dropping a few 3 bombs of her own it was a thrill to watch. NG didnt go away and down 5 Mcnese was the beneficiary of a questionable box out call on her 3 pt shot and getting the +1 cut the lead to 1. Bowers was fouled with 4 seconds left and calmly stepped up and drained both for the final margin. Ive seen alot of games/teams this year and what these girls do night in and night out with less talent and subs is something these ladies and their fans should be proud of the heart they play with and never give up attitude is amazing. I applaud these young women and their coaches they represent this area well!

  5. In the 4th, it looked like the lady rangers ran out of steam. They started turning the ball over and Rhodes and Wilson took over the game. They miss Colbaugh.

Yea you gotta have a good point guard to take control in those situations and her being a senior with experience is a difference maker. Nonetheless big conf win for your Landers tough break for Unaka they could've got a good hold of conf lead if they would've pulled it off.
  6. Cloudland won 50-31. I was surprised at the emergence of Kendall Mull at the guard slot. Good quickness and ability to score. Could very well be landers and dogs once again for the belt, whoooo!

heard it was tied after 3 is that right? if so what happened? Heard dogs won by 15 they've got a big one Friday @ NG
  7. Taking Cloudland tomoro by double digits could get ugly and Hampton by 14 over Johnson Co. close early and Dogs pull away late. I hear they are presenting Dorothy Dugger with her 1,500th point ball a great milestone for a great player and seems to be a great young lady as well. Congrats to her! Unicoi's only game this week is vs. Sullivan North but it's only a JV game since North is no longer playing a varsity schedule.

  8. Hate to hear about Colbaugh. She was a lightening quick guard who made the rangers go.

Grade 1 AC Separation out 7 days thought the Landers would win either way but would've been more competitive with her in lineup. She's as tough as they come and a heckuva great kid too!
  9. Elizabethton destroyed Clinton and could have scored 100 points if they had really wanted to. The JV picked up a blowout win as well over Science Hill. Elizabethton's JV is deep and very impressive. I honestly believe they would be competive with many varsity teams in the area in all classifications. Hampton beat Unicoi County to hold the #2 spot. Unaka fell by 25 to a good Cosby team.

Unaka/Cosbywas a close game to Colbaugh went out in the 2nd qtr then Cosby turned up the pressure, was awfully quiet in that gym as Unaka had an early lead, shoulder injury looks like she s out about a week. And they have Cloudland Tues. tough break for a great competitor and great kid.
  10. I have never put much faith in the strength of schedule rankings, which basically are factored on opponents winning percentages, until very late in the season and not even much then. Playing a few really weak teams with horrible records can really throw it off. Some good teams just have mediocre records early. I am not even sure they count out of state teams and many teams do not accurately post their records on coachT. It is just an approximation. Hampton has no doubt played a very tough schedule for a single A team and it will serve them well later. Everyone else plays a pretty similar schedule. Elizabethton's schedule is skewed low because of the records of Central (2-14), Johnson County (3-11), Morristown East (4-11), Clinton (5-9), and Cherokee (6-12). They drew Cherokee and Central in the Happy Valley tip-off, a good Morristown-East team has been ravaged by injuries, Clinton is up and down, and Johnson County is a very competitive team to have a 3-11 record. Betsy has also played Tennessee High, South Greene, Sullivan South, Hampton, Unicoi County, Alcoa, and three very athletic teams in South Carolina than any of our seven would have been hard-pressed to beat. So that is 9 games against solid teams, 2 games against competitive teams with bad records (Cherokee and Johnson County), and three games with teams that are having down years (Morristown East, Clinton, and Sullivan Central). Not nearly as weak of a schedule as it appears on the coachT rankings.

Clinton is having a down year??Clinton was 4-22 last year won 5 already this year! A long post basically about nothing if you don't have much faith in that kind of stuff. Who you trying to convince with that us or yourself? LOL just ribbing you coach. Only thing that matters is what you do in those last 6-8 games.
  11. Thank you Coachh17 for your weekly poll and the topic. I have enjoyed reading it very much, but I get tired of posts from people who obviously detest Elizabethton and take every opportunity to bash the Lady Cyclones and Coach Dugger. These girls may not all play with heart all the time, but they do not feel entitlement, and there no one, NO one who works harder than this team! Perhaps a topic should be started entitled Diss the Lady Cyclones and Len Dugger. People need to remember these are kids and yes, they read the coacht message boards. I'm finished here.

time for practice? just kidding geez somebody can't take some ribbing
  12. Hope they do and hope coaches do as well. Maybe they'll see you need to play with heart EVERY game you never know when its your last or HV will read it and say hey maybe we should work on D or Hamptons reserves say we need to step up and be a factor or Cloudland's guards will see and say hey maybe i need to work harder and show these people and prove them wrong. Even one of your followers said they played uninspired vs Fayette so we are using words from Betsy supporters. I've said it over and over you (i'm assumming you are from Eliz or may be Unicoi or you may be from somewhere else ) and by you i mean the Lady Cyclones have the best talent and one of the best point guards, Morgan Depew, in East Tennesse. It's the high and mighty fans of Elizabethton that get us riled up and don't you know everyone hates the team on top(last year it was Cloudland) but i've never seen anyone diss a kid individualy on here a coach yea sure but they're adults they can handle it. I hope. I use to go to the local watering hole and find out what the heck I was doing wrong. Wish internet ws around back then it'd saved me some money and about 5o pounds i put on.

  13. Does Dugger know one of his players is posting on here? Or is it Mommy?

    Come On Man...........

Would almost say he does I hear he tries to control everything the girls can't open a bag of doritos or crack open a pepsi without him knowing lol(but that's hearsay) but from reading post on FB or tweets aout how the girls hate playin bball for him I'm gonna say he doesn't know(that's factual) *HINT* be careful what you post you never know who may read it kids these days have no clue
  14. I agree with this totally and we said that. If they hadn't missed opportunities, it would not have been close enough for refs to make a difference. I never said they played a perfect game, just that when that when the Lady Cycones had opportunity to take the win, the officials kept them from it at the end. I am through arguing about this, it is a fact. People from Dorman and other schools even said it.

Who's arguing? But As long as u got confirmation from the people of Dorman and other schools I'll buy it. Seriously???That's too funny. C'mon Man....... or woman
  15. Looks good bout what i figured. Did notice you went from 'This team is solid and has a high ceiling. Look for the wins to pile up' TO 'This team is streaky, erratic, and inconsistent right now. They do not look in sync.' on Betsy

Betsy has the most talent by far but what's the old saying HARD WORK BEATS TALENT WHEN TALENT DOESN'T WORK HARD. I think they have that 'entitlement' attitude.Think they're entitled to EVERYTHING just because We have 5 seniors and We are Elizabethton. I may be wrong, and i am on occassions, but I don't see the heart that a Johnson County or a Hampton plays with night in night out. what do you think coachh?

Hampton needs more help from the supporting class noticed in a couple games they had a starter or 2 not even score.

Unicoi seems to be progressing well i mentioned earlier they could push Betsy for top spot by end of season.Their youth is gaining experience so that push may be right on track.

HV also progressing would still like to see more focus on D. Sticking by my prediction of a split with Eliz.

Cloudland is getting healthy still need better guard play.

Unaka is hot and cold up and down Colbaughs elbow seems ok a little more focus on D would hep.

JC making huge strides I'm pulling for them!
