I don’t think we’d have 7 to 10 state championships but we’d definitely have at least a couple. People see how successful we’ve been the past few years and their way of justifying it is that we cheat to do it instead of accepting the fact that we’ve just been better than than the majority of the teams who accuse us of recruiting. 2013 was our first pretty successful year in football for a while. 2011 was an ok year, but 2012 and practically every year before that we were terrible. 2013 Charlie Lansdell becomes head coach of CA and we start being good. The same players that had gone 5-6 in 2012 were back minus a few seniors in 2013 when they went 10-2. And the next year they lost a few more seniors but the only other new players were players that were freshmen. The reason we’ve been successful was because of the coaching change.

agree but if you get players and you get 3 to 4 players I mean studs, In 1a football you can win state championships you mix what you have and 4 studs to a 1 a team and you win a lot of games at some point people will start to notice that and then you get parents wanting there kids to come to a winning program and then you have a great team and when you have a solid team with a lot of kids in the pipe line state championships will happen. Leads back to one thing C.A. DOES NOT CHEAT..C.A, HAS DONR THIS GREAT RUN WITH WHAT WE HAVE I GIVE ALOT OF CREDIT TO THE YOUTH FOOTBALL PROGRAM AND GOOD COACHING...AND A SPECIAL GROUP OF KIDS...DID THIS IN A BIG HURRY THE OLD COACH

  2. I am not from  C.A. but I do know one thing and I do know football  and I do know C.A. DOES NO GO OUT AND GET PLAYERS..ANYBODY IN THE FOOTBALL PROFESSION WOULD KNOW IF C.A. WAS BUYING PLAYERS, DO YOU NOT THINK C.A WOULD HAVE ABOUT 7 TO 10 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS  I CAN TELL YOU HOW MANY THEY HAVE IN FOOTBALL THE NUMBER IS 0. NOT A ONE. SO PLEASE DONT SAY C, A. IS CHEATING AGAIN I PROMISE YOU THEY ARE NOT..THE OLD COACH

  3. Do yall want to know what I think about this game Friday night I didn't think so...keep on keeping on but I do know what will happen Friday night...one will win and move on the other will turn in the old football pads and 98% will never dawn the pads again they will just have a lot of great memories and a lot of will go threw life a better student, a better worker,  A great husband, A great farther that what high school football does for these young men.. Nothing like it best life lesson these kids will ever do. Man I miss it so bad.. GOOD LUCK FRIDAY NIGHT TO BOTH TEAMS..WHO IS THIS GUY YOU WANT TO KNOW MAYBE SOME DAY I WILL TELL YOU..HAVE A GREAT DAY

  4. oh it can be done I know it can be done it is all left up to every player on this team. no one I mean no one will let his team mate down the rest of this journey we will never take a play off and when on defense hit every thing on the field every play. I will play threw the whistle  on every play.  I will study a crap load of film I will know the guy lined up across from me I will know his weakness, again the players on this team is the one who holds the key to Cookeville...its all on them at this point just do your job and do it great and you got to leave it all on the field and practice like its your last practice. all  we need now is great leadership just win it all Columbia academy..

Just finished watching the CA-Lewis Co game. Don't let my boss know.  :D

CA offense is perplexing. They have an at one time Mr. Football contender at running back who is touching the ball one out of four plays. The kid doesn't play defense and should be fresh the entire game. When he does run it, he offsets to one side and everyone knows he has to go to the other side -  usually out wide. When he lines up in the middle, he motions to one side and then runs the same play. Blocking on the edge is not there. First play of the game they run buck sweep to a side they are outnumbered on, no one blocks the DE, and he still gets 12 yards. 1st and goal from the 3 and he doesn't touch the ball on the next four plays & the offense goes backwards.

The QB has actually settled down and runs the offense well. If he would have changed numbers he would look even better. The offensive woes are not on him they are on the offense. Too many plays going wide, too predictable based on alignment, two huge lineman are on each end of the LOS with small lineman in between. Why not put #72 and 74 and #1 side by side and give 24 a lead blocker and let your best player make something happen?

For Lewis County: as stated earlier #23 was the fastest player on the field. He only got in open field twice but scored long runs both times. CA having the angle didn't matter.

This is going to kill the pizzpatriots (Jr. and Sr.)  but their coaching is top notch.

    73 and 87 are studs. 23 and 26 can fly. #9 is still #9.

In slow mo I still can't say for certain CA touched the ball before it went 10 yards on the onside kick. It's close. Kudos to the eagle eyed official who made that call. That is why you normally kick the onsides kick to your bench so your bench can influence the official.

yeap the tape don't lie but lewis county wanted it more that night

  6. edge goes to c.a. home field advantage only losses in the past 4 or 5 yrs have only been deep in the playoffs to union city or south pitt..just a tough place to come and play plus c.a defense is the best they ever had no one in the region has been able to score a lot of points on this bunch
