WOW! What a game , I could not attend due to family issues but I was able to catch the replay today and I guess I will be reading all night to catch up on this thread. First I want to send my prayers out for #39 Hayden Townsend , I hope the young man is all right and can get back in the mix we're going to need him. Trenton Shular happy birthday and what a game you had son , I think they know who you are. Maryville Rebels your QB is leading you very well and you are all impressive to watch. Defense , what can be said but fantastic job. #15 , #79 ,#53,#95 ,#72 , #39 you guys handled some big ol boys Friday night. I will not miss another one. Here's to practicing on Thanksgiving morning! I see that the crowd finally showed up.

Not attacking , just wanderin'. Sorry RR. Just do not share the same feelings about the game. The ? about how much football (Maryville ) he had watched was rhetorical. All of OR's points were scored on 2's & 3's.Just WOW. There is no reason to attack Ron.

Are you freaking kidding me? If he had thrown the ball earlier there would not have been a receiver there to catch it besides he was too busy trying not to get sacked. And I guess that Prevo was just lucky and it was a fluke.? How long have you been watching Maryville play football? This stuff is what they do? They make you pay for your mistakes with sound fundamental football ... OR was never in the game. Wait , if OR had done this it would be great football!2 Key plays that helped Maryville big time was the interception by John Garret. If the OR QB throws the ball earlier it could have been an OR touchdowm. The next key play happened a few plays later when Shaun Prevo runs 94 yds for a TD. Instead of a tying touchdown OR finds themselves down 14-0. I don't think they ever recovered from that. A lot of people think Maryville will kill Oak Ridge. I think this game will be much closer than the 1st game.

I would say that you guys change coaches more than your underwear.

I believe you are correct in your assumptions of last year and from what I" have been told " this deal was done back in the preseason. Why do you say this? With the move down to 4A, Rankin can win there, and win big...IMO. Plus, I think he could retire from public and draw that money, and work for the private without having to teach. No brainer to me. From what I was told, he was going there last year, but they wouldn't let him bring the assistants that he wanted to bring.

What a baptism of fire for the Hawks.

OH , OK. They must have decide to take the L and move on to the playoffs. LOL. 1 and done.I was rooting for the underdog in this one but like I said they got Maryville attention..... Good luck Maryville Go win another state title.....LC must have saved there players for the playoffs......lol IS that there excusse for there performance???
-
HOLY , HOLY , HOLY.When MHS played at Bearden there was talk that Bearden was attempting to steal signals. I do not know if it is true.
Regardless, I'm rooting for DB in this one. I'd like to see a round 3 matchup between the Indians and Rebels.
Also agree with the last sentence in STARPOWER's post back a few pages... Some MHS fans on here take every perceived slight against Maryville personally. It's a little ridiculous. People are allowed to have opinions about Maryville.
Good for the Foreman kid getting a great education paid for. Swafford going anywhere?

HEHEHE LOLOLOL good one MLREB. I was able to attend the Southerner vs Alcoa game the other night , they looked like miniature version of the VARSITY.
-
yes it is.Nope....
-
lolWhen was the last time Maryville was playing the last regular season game and its for the district championship. Maryville better come ready to play or this one could be a good one... I got to root for the underdog in this one.... Go LC!!!
-
because that is what he does mostly.Great year for MJHS. I wonder why Jay Malone left the starters in for the entire game? History?
-
I think Maryville should stay with the 4 -3 defense but I am no guru. The secondary needs to be shored up. Good FHS team.
-
make sure you stop by the music row , starz is putting on that clinic Maryville is so famous for. Here's hoping that the Mountaineers pull one out.

Well , seeing as how this is a football thread and all, well some of you just need a little help.Well frydaddy it's been nice knowing you. Your as good as gone! You know better than to talk about baseball on here, because your stepping on alot of toes. I bet peppy has already placed a hit on you with his mafia buddies. Pack up and get out of town as quick as you can. Remember the order of things before you spout off next time. FOOTBALL VAS., FOOTBALL JV, FOOTBALL FRESHMAN, Band, cheerleading, chorus, basketball,etc........... fort craig, baseball. Got it! P.S. can I have your season tickets before you get capped?
-
Rebel fans , let us not participate in this until it is time. The champions of the world need their exercise.
-
still would not do you any good. BTW yes you were I saw you.Naw we were not stealing signs...we were waiting after the game though for the free "how to recruit ALL of Blount Co. Seminar " being given by the Rebel booster club members who do the weekly traveling seminars..

Maryville is where they are due to preparation, planning, leadership, involvement, and the commitment to keep all those things at the elite level. Players are attracted to that and find their way there. Players buy in and do their job. A good player that is in the right position, and plays with the right fundamentals, will almost always win over a more talented player that lacks discipline. Maryville has that formula down to a science.
It's up to everyone else to catch up.

This thread usually starts in mid to late December along with all the others.
