R'Dale's big game experience will be huge. That may be the difference maker, even though my opinion is that the Stars have more talent. If we dont get rattled, Stars win by 2 touchdowns. If we do get rattled, we lose by that much.

Here is what I know. There will be a game. We will try to impose our will upon Seigal and thay will do the same to us. I do know that offensively they are really good and evidently we're ok. Not sure about their defense because they have yet to be tested. I would be suprised if either team gets boat raced. To me it will boil down to which teams takes care of the ball. We have been able to overcome our miscues to this point. But yet Seigal has played two young non athletic teams that aren't very good. Good news is we will know where we stand in about 33 hours. Never the less.....

After being alerted by a concerned parent, I felt it necessary to create an account on CoachT and address your negative comments of both Centennial High School and the administration of CHS.

My name is Frank Brown and I am the principal of Centennial High School. Your comments here and previously are both misinformed and hurtful in nature. I have worked in five high schools in my career and the Centennial community is the most cohesive and hardworking I have ever been a part of. The student body is the most genuinely caring and school spirited group of students I have had the privilege of working with. Every data point of Centennial, including ACT average, graduation percentage, AP course enrollment, AP scores, and EOC test scores have increased in the two years I have been at Centennial. Our athletic programs are improving across the board and our enrollment has increased to the highest numbers ever in the short history of Centennial.

Centennial is an absolutely amazing and wonderful school that is on the rise in every way possible. We are exceptionally proud of the progress we have made and are excited about the future we envision for ourselves.

 

While Centennial has had some "ghosts of the past" to deal with," your call to "focus your frustration towards the failing administration" is completely misguided and a indication of a perverse and inappropriate attitude to a fellow Williamson County School.

 

As part of Williamson County Schools, we are proud and celebrate the successes of all of our schools, but especially our "grand dame" of schools, Franklin High School. We enjoy the competitive nature of our relationship and are hopeful that both schools use that spirit, at least in part, to continue the pursuit of excellence. We have the utmost respect for Mrs. Dickerson, her administrative team (two of whom have previously worked for me), the entire faculty and staff, and the students of Franklin.

I invite you to Centennial High School tonight to witness a great night of football, community pride and spirit, and fierce competition with our neighboring school, Franklin High School. Kickoff is at 7:00. We are expecting a huge crowd so come early because parking and seating will be an issue.

It appears you have either been given some very inaccurate information or you know the truth and you have chosen to not be appropriate or accurate in your attempt to hurt a great school.

I created this account today to make this one posting. I will not post further and can only hope that you will support Centennial High School in our journey of improvement and excellence. I ask that in the future you post accurately, sensitively, and openly and please refrain from trying to hurt a community anonymously from an unidentified screen name.

Excellent post, Dr. Brown. I wish others would take your direct approach and not hide their identity. We are hearing very positive things about Centennial over here in Rutherford County. Keep up the good work and good luck tonight.

All this started because I said Indy is overhyping a kid and a team that is yet to do anything. You didnt like it, made some stupid comments and I nailed you to the wall for it.

 

You are a very frustrated guy. I know nothing about Jason Eubanks or the other posters on here. But I am certainly none of them. There are obviously lots of people with issues with Independence. Sorry that you dont like it when someone talks about a weak coach, hired by a principal with questionable character, both guys bringing in athletes of questionable backgrounds and eligibility. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to mention that again.

Dont waste your breath on ND. He got offended somehow when I complimented Centennial at the end of last season. Showed his foul mouth and his narrow mind. Only pigs like slopping around in the mud, but the mess gets on everyone.

i agree with you scott these announcers only do it once a year and dont see any high school games through out the year, i would say the mark howard group is the worst on whitehavens opening drive mark said that whitehaven opened last week with a 70 yard play last week against riverdale but in reality whitehaven played mt juliet the week before not riverdale, mark said the maryville rb prevo was a sr that the coaching staff was eyeing since pee wee football, now i dont see a whole lot of east tn football here in middle tn but i remembered from last year that prevo is a sophomore, and then dyson mumbles on and i dont even know what hes saying half the time

 

now with that being said i enjoyed the mike keith and larry stone broadcasts, they may not see very many high school football games but they seemed prepared before the game and didnt just say stuff like they just read it off a cue card or just happened to glance at a murphy fair book

 

how about adding dennis weaver and the friday night thunder crew to call games? i just want somebody who knows what they are talking about calling the games

Dyson saw games every Friday night as the head football coach at Indy, but you would never know it by the glaring lack of knowledge he shows in his commentary role. He's just not a good speaker and thinks he has the football knowledge to "wing it" on air. Two years of mumbling and mistakes and talking about athleticism but not quality programs and discipline is proof enough that he is a bad choice.

Was a good year for Indy as they were picked second to last , even if it was one and done they still own the bragging rights of district champions.........did I ever say respect around the state ? Nope , not many tens can claim that title can they. In district poll the coaches and they will tell you yes.

Seasons past hello I was talking in reference to how it does a team no good now a days to schedule tough non conference games due to the playoff format compared to years past when you can get your team ready by playing BA and MBA . However if you wanna talk about the past at least Indy made the finals in what it's 7 or 10 year life.... Personally who cares what team goes further in the playoffs, a loss is a loss be it first or second round.

First Indy was ready for the playoffs to say they were unprepared for the playoffs shows your lack of football knowledge . Indy was ready , Indy benefited from a weak district and non conference schedule minus your team and Blackman . The reason Indy lost to Brentwood was a blocked punt for a td and the fact Indy had no offense / so Indy was ready for the playoffs they just didn't have the better team that night and it's tough to beat a district foe twice in a year

Iif Indy had a easy schedule what did chs have? With this new playoff system why would a young Indy team schedule a riverdale or an ensworth ? When the old playoff system was in place and Indy made their state run they had MBA and BA. Indy this year did have 2 quality opponents I'm seigal and Blackman - Lincoln county was picked preseason to be a contender . The weak schule didn't hurt Indy anyone and all will tell you lack of offense hurt them

As I was running through the scores last night, an intersting thought dawned on me and I thought I would share it. I'm sure it will set off another debate, but hey, thats what this site is mainly for, anyway.

The only 5a-6a school in district 11 to beat a non district opponent that was higher ranked than them in the playoffs was Centennial, a 6 seed def. a 3 seed Tullahoma. Franklin, a 3 seed, beat a 6 seed non district opponent (Smyrna). Brentwood beat higher seeded, but previously played district opponent, Independence.

Not sure what my point is, but I do have lots of respect for the turn around season of Centennial. Brentwood had a good season and a great late season run. Franklin way underachieved based on the brags. Indy had an unexpected turnaround, but was the beneficiary of an fairly easy schedule that left them unprepared for the playoffs resulting in a first round exit.

Congrats to all Williamson Co teams, but maybe you should lay off Centennial for a while. In my opinion, they had the most impressive season in the county.
