Are all York fans this delusional? Y’all have a coach on Facebook complaining that “the undefeated number 1 ranked team in 2A” has to travel. The best DL in 2A, in my opinion, would be the DL that has the SEC offers from ER. I know I’m biased, but Hampton played probbaly the best DL on their schedule last Friday. York will be in a dog fight just like Bledsoe was last week.

It depends on our game with Polk. Only scenario meigs hosts if they win and Polk wins. If Bledsoe and meigs both win, Bledsoe is 2 and meigs would be 3. And Polk would be 4.

It depends on the Bledsoe Polk game. A Polk win puts Polk at 2, marion at 3 Bledsoe 4.  A Bledsoe win puts marion at 2 Bledsoe at 3, meigs 4. All those assuming marion beats meigs.

Bledsoe has a chance to finish 7-3 as well. So, Bledsoe as 2 seed. Meigs as 3. Marion as 4. 

Meigs and Tyner will be borderline 3A as well

Good game last night but that’s all it was. 1 game.

If you think the atmosphere was good last night you should have seen the last 3-4 years. Like a big college atmosphere.  Fitzgerald and company will get them boys in Meigs on track this year. 

“You beat us, but we won this and that 4 years ago” Get over yourself. That’s probably about the time you became a meigs fan, or had a boy get recruited over there lol 

These kids from Pikeville have been told for YEARS that there was no future for them here. Been talked to for YEARS to move over to meigs and be on “good teams” and play “big boy football”. I watched a heck of a game last night by both teams. Lots of mistakes were made by both teams, and you could argue that either team could have won. It was a great atmosphere over in Decatur for sure. Feel like a monkey got lifted off some of those kids backs though with the win. I think meigs will be just fine moving forward. Go Blue!

I promise you Bledsoe won’t beat anybody by 70. With everything going on, I hope they take it day by day and get us to Friday night. I’ll Just be glad to be able to watch a home game and hopefully hear Smoky and the Bandit a few times Friday night.

But why did Meigs shoot down the idea of a reschedule? On any date. There’s what, 7 more weeks? 4 of those are region games. Pick another day. Any day when we aren’t closed for Covid.

And bledsoe with 2 in a row. That’s my point. This isn’t about dodging anybody. We would cross that river and get beat by 50 if it meant we could play. But we can’t play since school is canceled. That’s my point.

Because of Covid our school has been shut down since early last week. That’s why the game is canceled. Not because of players being “less in shape”. Covid has ravaged our county. If there was anyway to safely play this game we would have played it. But just like always Meigs gets the easy way and just takes the win instead of trying to settle it on the field. I’m sure if Meigs would have had to cancel this game, Bledsoe would be getting ripped to shreds if they decided to just take the win. But you’re probably not ready for that conversation. What happens if y’all have to cancel to Polk or Tellico? I bet that game would get rescheduled QUICK.

So by kickoff Friday night, y’all would have had 6 practices over the last 14 days. 
If we go back Wednesday, IF, we would have 3 over 14 days. That’s very unsafe. Thats my point. Regardless of the win and the loss. Y’all’s first reaction was to say we were dodging this game. That’s just not true. It’s a very obvious safety issue for our players and I’m glad that’s what Coach and the administration chose to do. The most upsetting part is the obvious unwillingness from Meigs county to try and reschedule this game. I know you said that Bledsoe was asked to replace the Dunlap game with the rescheduled Meigs game, and that is absurd. That’s why our administration was willing to lose our home game against Monterey to help y’all out and play during your bye week.
