Sounds like by Friday you should be Covid free if all the CDC requirements are met as far as quarantined 12 days now and 15 by Friday by your math:roflol:. I don't make the rules friend. We played last year without multiple kids in games because the same stuff your team canceled for. All kids practice so why not let those who can play do it. We practiced yesterday but before that didn't practice since Tuesday of last week. Blame us all you want. It was your teams choice not to play. You have kids available, just not the ones you want apparently..

Big bad Meigs is ready and willing to play Friday with what we got. Don't be skeert. Your team is again making a choice.

But was school canceled when you played without those 5 players? I didn’t think so. Bledsoe has been closed since early last week. No school. No sports. Nothing. It wouldn’t matter if every player on the team had 3 negative tests, we have not been in school and not been allowed to gather as a team for practice or any other event. That’s my point. How can you justify playing a game with one or two practices? Our school is supposed to open back Wednesday. What I’m hearing is we will be closed the remainder of this week. It’s a obvious danger to the safety of those kids to be put in that situation, whether that kid is banged up from game 1 or healthy as a horse.

My question is why would meigs not reschedule for their off week?  Is it because they didn't want to play vkedsoe and Marion back to back?  That would make more sense than having bledsoe cancel their rival game with sequatchie.

Bledsoe was willing to cancel a home non-region game with Monterey to allow Meigs to play on their Bye week. The rescheduling ball went back into Meigs court, and they took the ball and went home. They made the easy call and took the Covid win. Not a good look for Big Bad Meigs, IMO of course.

Our rival game with Central is also that week, so why would it be different? Sounds like we were doing them a favor and putting them in the same situation we would have been in and they said no. Let that sink in.

Also Bledsoe CAN play they are just choosing not too. There was a choice made by Bledsoe and this was it. Meigs is  and was available to play.

And here’s the flaw in your thinking. Bledsoe hasn’t had school or practice in what, 10 days? 12 days? Possibly more if what I’m hearing is right. So without practice for those days, and some players being out for 1-2 weeks before that, do you think it would be safe for ANY team to play after that long of a break, one or two days before the game?

Looks like Bledsoe canceled if my info is correct.

Bledsoe did cancel. We are loaded with Covid cases over here. I hate that this game won’t be played because it would have been a good game. However, I did talk to a Bledsoe coach his morning who said Meigs refused to reschedule this game to Meigs’  off week.

I watched the South Pitt game on television. It wasn’t as close as  score appeared. It was a mismatch really. Meigs would beat them 7 out of 10 times.

Im going Tigers here. They are hungry. Playing well. Quietly confident all year. Great coaching staff.  Hungry bunch  Peabody seems to be running their mouth. Fueling the fire.

They (Meigs)  are also going to be playing in co ference over this way with the Big mouth Bledsoe and Marion fans.  I can’t wait till Meigs sticks their foot up their butt and pipes them big talkers down a bit!

Big mouth bledsoe fans lol buddy if there’s a more beaten fan base in this valley than us I would like to meet them. I spent the whole season waiting on the ceiling to collapse in Pikeville. Only people we mouthed to are y’all in Dunlap.
Can’t wait for the game Saturday, I think Peabody pulls the back to back to back. I may be wrong. All I know is we get to play Meigs week 3 next year and I can’t wait to see it.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again. TC messes up by not running the spread more often like they did at the end of this game with #5 as qb.

They drove it down the field against bledsoe like that too. Had a lot of success against a good D, but went away from it for some reason. Good season TC.

Polk, and Tellico traded for Cumberland Gap and Wartburg. Oneida and Rockwood traded for Tyner, Bledsoe, and Marion.  I believe we made out about the same really. We already played Polk as a non region game before.

But unlike this year, you will actually have some tough playoff games before the semis. Even if you won the region next year, instead of playing Watertown/Trousdale in the semi, you would get one of them round two, and the other round three.

I think this is probably the best in terms of travel.

I just don’t know if this would happen with the time change between York and Oneida. Even though they are 15 mins apart from one another.

If they did agree to it, it would work for region 3 with the possibility of adding Jackson county to it. Although, you would then have to keep cascade in region 4 and or move Forrest back into it.

Or you could keep Jackson county in region 4 and it would be Watertown, Trousdale, Westmoreland, east Robertson and JC. Then cascade would move west into region 5 with forrest, whites creek, the hickmans and Harpeth etc.

Marion and Bledsoe are in Region 3 and in Central Time, while the rest of the region is in Eastern time zone (Tyner, Polk, Tellico). I wouldn’t think it would matter.

Hard to judge a team when they play cupcakes.

    Beat a top 5 Tyner by 30+
    Shut out #6 Marion

Held #10 Monterey who was averaging over 30pts/game, to 14 points

Shut out our biggest rival on a wet field 35-0

    Beat a 4A team

But regardless, got to fasten up and play whoever shows up. Go Warriors!

  10. Bledsoe County Quarterback Club just posted this to Facebook:

The following is IMPORTANT information about this weeks game with Monterey :
Due to Putnam County’s strict guidelines they are limiting their stadium capacity to -
1/3 capacity = 400 people. That is Total number of tickets they are selling for both teams!
They are allowing players to reserve two tickets. Those tickets must be paid for at the gate and are only reserved until 6:45 after 6:45 they will sell those tickets as general admission. (We have approximately 42 players and Monterey has about the same number of players so there is a possibility that 168 of the 400 tickets could be spoken for).
All tickets sales are at the gate and gates open at 5:30. (NO tickets will be sold online)
Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis so whoever is in line the earliest will have the opportunity to get tickets.
BCHS offered other options such as moving the game to a larger stadium as well as offering to host the game with them getting the gate and they would not agree to do so.  They will not accommodate a larger crowd. We have great fans and would love to fill their stadium with our fans but tickets are limited just wanted to let everyone know the situation ahead of time.
    Mask are required.
    Tickets are $7

The win over Tyner lost a little shine after the Rams lost to a home school group.

They don’t draw pictures in the record books. It’s been 80 years and Bledsoe won one against Tyner. It’s almost like this rivalry in a way, it doesn’t matter about records, only the W and the L.
