Going to be interesting who applies for these 2 schools.  Bradley is considered one of the better jobs in our area.  McMinn supposedly has a good young group coming up.

My first call would be Fitzgerald at Meigs.  He is a program builder and winner.  Not sure if there would be mutual interest but you have to make the call. JMO

Why? If he was the one on Cleveland sideline..... I never saw him throw a flag?!?  You had a 28-7 halftime lead and 1st and 5 with less than 2 minutes left in the game and all you had to do is get a 1st down to win!?!  I agree that was not pass interference in the 4th qt and Im sure there was calls on both sides that were missed.  I know Stacy from seeing him do basketball and im sure he is not one that is going to intentionally call something in favor of school he graduated from probably 40 yrs ago.  BTW ... Im neither a Cleveland nor Bradley fan but love the rivalry and try to go to that game every year.  If the refs were biased why did they let you get a 21 pt lead at half?  

Wow!! The losing high school teams fans complaining about officiating... never heard that one before.  I thought it was 2 good teams but in the end 1 team fed off their coaches emotions and lost focus. Not sure on the judgement calls but the personal fouls and unsportsmanlike penalties all looked to be deserving for both teams.   I scroll through all of these message boards and almost every losing teams fans blame the officials... I just don’t get it.  I wouldn’t do their job for nothing. 

Refs gave them gift on that one. This crew is aweful.

9 total penalties and let both teams play. Yes,  there was a missed call in end zone but isnt there missed calls every game? overall i thought officials did a great job. JMO from a neutral fan who enjoyed a great game in Rhea Co fri night

Give me a small town single A high school sub state game in a small packed out gym in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of good ole people than a private school game in a 2 million dollar gym any day!!! The atmosphere is unbelieveable!!  Good luck to both teams!

Take notice:  This is only 1 Meigs fan complaining about coaching.  I think the majority of fans are happy with coaching or i would hope so!  Sounds like a disgruntled parent and their kid is not getting to play or playing the position they think they should.  JMO 

If Freeman/Floyd turn Copeland loose again this week and put Carpenter out wide or in the slot. I think Bradley wins by 10. Of the 3 games left the only one they should lose is Maryville. Bradley had no business losing to Bearden. Play calling and coaching is the only thing holding Bradley back. They need to work on their special teams too. Can't keep giving the other team a short field.

Coaching is holding your team back and you are 5-2 on the season???  SMH

Rhea Co. fan complaining about refs?!  After that game with Knox West in the playoffs?!  He is probably wanting that crew from Oliver Springs area to come back for all home games.  LOL

Here is the scoop, Cleveland Middle player told lake forrest player he wanted to come to Bradley but the Bradley coach did not want him. So, the lake forrest kid text the Bradley coach and tells him what cleve middle kid said. Bradley coach text lake forrest kid back and tells him any kid that wants to come to play for him is welcome. He text cleve middle kid the text, that kid shows his parents they screen shot the text take it to the cleve coach and he takes it the principal and school director and together they call TSSAA and state that Bradley coach is recruiting.  

 

Now, so you know the kid from lake forrest is little brother to Bradley QB 2 years ago and spends the night with coach's son and his dad played college ball with bradley coach that is why he had the coach's number in 1st place.

 

TSSAA in all their wisdom deemed that Bradley coach did nothing wrong dispelling myth that cleve kid was not welcome, however he broke rule texting the family friend and ball boy that was working out with Bradley because he was a rising 9th grader coming to Bradley??.

 

If Coach Crawford was at Cleveland this never would have taken place b/c he would have picked up phone called Bradley coach and uncovered what was really going on a Cleve middle kid wanted to be wanted that's it.

 

News Flash all High School Coach's want student athletes that can play and be a positive teammate to come to their school!  

 

No incentive was offered just advice to call Bradley and set up tour and meet with guidance counselor about enrolling then he could communicate with young man.

That 6a championship was the best high school football i have ever seen and the same can be said of the officiating.  The refs let the kids play and decide the game. kudos to the officials and i dont say that much!

The refs will be from the Chattanooga association as are all Cleveland athletic events. If Cleveland's two running backs are still healthy then they should roll in this game by at least 3 touchdowns. WVHS has only played 3 teams with a winning record and 2 of those were blowout losses. CHS on the other hand has played McCallie (7-1) and ranked #1 in DII-AA, Knox West (6-1) and ranked #1 in 5A and Cookeville (7-1), all of which they lost by the way. Needless to say the WVHS schedule pales in comparison to the Blue Raiders.  There is no Sequoyah or Polk County on the CHS schedule to pad their wins. CHS should have a #2 district seeding locked up regardless of what they do vs Ooltewah. While the Valley still has to play at a much improved McMinn and Soddy-Daisy, both likely losses as will be the Cleveland game.

Or you could ask the question of how many Cleveland alumni will be on the Chattanooga assc.crew?

Everybody that was there saw it. How about the refs throwing flags on 2 different occasions then huddle up for 5 mins deciding on what the call was.....explain that one. lol

Officials huddling after a penalty is normal in all games... You see it in college and NFL.  All that matters is they get it right!

I was listening to it on the radio on 104.1.... I heard 1 of the commentators said if this flag is on Cleveland someone is going to have to hold me back with a rope because im going to "whip" somebody!!  Regardless of how bad it was or wasnt,  Im not so sure that guy needs to be on the radio.  Stay classy Cleveland!!

The Athens-based group is the worst around, bar none, in multiple sports.

It just amazes me how  "Fans" tend to think that officials in this area are bad, but you look at the Middle Tn schools message boards and they think their officials are awful as well!! I am a HS sports fan and have never officiated any sport period but i like to think i know a little about the rules.  But really i dont and neither do most of you.  The area refs (and i know a few) do this because they love the game of football and i can guarantee you none of them whether it be Chatt/Athens or whatever association make a call to try to determine Wins or losses. To beat it all..... They now get graded on every game for the $80-$90 or whatever their pay is for Friday night. Until we put on the stripes to see firsthand what it is like, we need to appreciate what they do. If we were all honest......We would admit most of our opinions of offiicals usually are determined if our team wins or loses.  FWIW  I know alot of good officials in this area.

SM should win, Bradley doesn't have much offense other than Copeland left, Copeland right, Copeland rollout (left and right) throw, and a few hand offs to #2

Sadly..... thats all they may need to beat Cleveland!!

I would compare this game to the TN-GA game on Sat.  Meigs (TN) has improved and headed in the right direction and Central (GA) playing at home with more talent.  If they were playing this game at Meigs i would prob favor picking Meigs in the upset (as i would TN).  But i think Central(as GA does) has more talent and playing at home is going to be the difference.

This dude has lost his mind. Anyone thinks that Alcoa or CAK are losing sleep over McMinn Central being 3-0  at the end of week 2 are getting ready for some serious counseling sessions.

I was wandering when someone was going to come back to reality!  Central has improved a great deal and has had great start to the season but it is week 3 folks. 

Central wins by 6..... Experience will win it.  Mcminn is lowest on experience on both sides of the ball than they have been in several years.  Central has alot of good skill players that will make the difference.

Agreed..... Probably one of less talented teams out of all those years is the team that won it all.
