  1. After watching the game film, my thoughts:

    1) JPII had great size and very athletic

    2) 4 NCS turnovers

    3) JPII has a great QB who has a quick delivery and is extremely accurate.

    4) NCS only threw the ball when everyone in the stadium knew it was coming. Very predictable.

    5) NCS for the most part went toe to toe with JPII.

    6) JPII's kicker had 3 FG's from 40+ yards, quite a weapon!

    7) JPII COULD beat Union City. They are a great team when playing great 1A teams.

    8) This loss is going to toughen up NCS even more and might be the best thing at this point to humble them and provide the spark to get them to Cookeville this year.

  2. Come on Tigers, lay it on the blue devils! I know I enjoyed my three years (81-83) laying the wood to harriman as a Tiger, and winning 3 in a row. Hit them hard as heck for a quarter and those blue devils will lay down. It's harriman, they're used to Rockwood kicking that devil butt every year!

  3. Im no TC fan but 27 straight playoff appearances and every yr but 3 they have made it to at least the 2nd rd. Sprinkle in 8 championships and ya got yourself a DYNASTY up there in Hartsville!

**In the last 12+ seasons Trousdale County has also played in 3A, 2A & 1A. Winning State in both 2A & 1A. **

TC must use the same computer program some of those West TN schools use to compute their enrollment.....the one that stops at 399.....welcome back to 1A.

  4. Rumor is they are getting a few Brentwood academy jr high kids every year that want to play early instead of having to wait a few years to get playing time at a bigger school. Not a cry session I promise. It would explain how they keep getting better every year. I still like our homegrown kids because of their football IQ. This entire town preaches 3 things to their sons from the time they are little until they graduate. God first, family second, football third. With these morals established, championship or not how can you go wrong in life.

" I still like our homegrown kids because of their football IQ"

Brentwood is less than 10 miles from NCS, so I would consider them homegrown. Most 1A schools draw from a 15 mile or more radius from their school and NCS is no different.

Some of you are so small minded, always looking for excuses, and spreading false rumors. The legion of the miserable. March on.

  5. This is just a great idea. UC has such an awesome coach and coaching staff. Those Yankees ain't going to believe it when it's 4th down (if UC ever has a 4th down that is) in the early quarters and UC doesn't even consider punting. I predict it will be a kind of football that will be very strange and simultaneously painful for them. Tornadoes big! Thanks for the radio link. We'll be listening on the way to Jo Byrns.

  6. Leaving the starters in the whole game wouldn,t be a smart move last game of the regular season. Risking injuries to prove a point is what people from trousdale call a dumb coaching decision. That is why I'm going to assume your not a coach but if you are then those type of decisions is probably why all of your division one prospects or your school doesn't have any football state championships to speak of. Better enjoy this year because our freshman, sophomore loaded varsity team only gets better for the next three years. Be sure to take a peak at our huge state championships (plural) sign at the back of the end zone. It's running out of room. This message is not intended for anyone else. Trousdale football usually speaks for itself but since Ncs is a school we have not played before, I felt the need to educate him

    Nice comeback! I enjoyed it.

Lighten up buttspanker, Just having a little fun, poking the bear. I even threw in a little Roy Dillard at the end. You're more thin skinned than my pals at Wayne County. We all figured NCS would replace Knox Grace Christian as your school's new bogeyman. Don't worry NCS's coaches would never run up the score on any opponents, unlike our nemesis out west.

  7. Pulling for Jo byrns but Ncs probably wins by 3 touchdowns or more

Speaking of a creekbank butt spank, NCS will certainly do that to Trousdale County at seasons end. Wasn't it TC's AD that was paling around with Lewis County's girly man AD a few months ago and whining about having to play small private schools? We might just leave the starters in the whole game at that stinking creek bank and lay about 80 points on TC for that mess. "You think I 'm joking but i ain't"

  8. I don't know about yall but im really sick of all these private schools in the public eye. What sucks is that kids ARE recruited. I don't care what the TSSAA or "public" provate schools say, they give financial aid and they pay these kids education to come to these schools so they can build up a powerhouse. I can understand tradition and being able to coach up kids from when they are born but bringin kids in is ridiculous and not fair at all for small town kids like JB. They can't be a factor for talent every year because there's not a huge population and eventually talent runs out and then they build back up. Happens to every small school (look at Perry County). But teams like Columbia Academy, Nashville Christian, etc., yes they were terrible the first few years of the program but only like 2. It took Perry County 11 years of a program to even be relevant. But teams like the public private schools they can be a powerhouse factory for years because they can pick and choose who they want to be on the team, for instance CA's QB is a TRANSFER! That's my rant for the week. I hope Jo Byrns comes out and hits NCS in the mouth and comes up with the win. Good luck to both teams and I pray for no injuries for either team.

Until NCS recruited (lol) Coach Brothers and Associates six years ago, NCS had about 3 good seasons in 40 years. So your rant is factually challenged and devoid of purity much like your pedigree. NCS is headed for a few down years beginning next year in all likelihood after this large group of seniors graduate.

I wouldn't be surprised if JB pulls the upset this week. Coach Adkins knows our playbook and I predict JB, 14-13 at half. It'll be foggy with smoke from those  tobacco barns. Strange things happen in that stadium. JB 28 - NCS 27 - Final

I hope not, but it just might happen up there in that setting.

  9. are yall going to win 9 or 10 games like always and come to w.tn and get mercy ruled like always

Absolutely not! UC or Peabody will have to travel to West Nashville to mercy rule us THIS YEAR I believe. On our schedule it has an asterisk which states "In odd years, the annual semi-final game with running 2nd half clock will be played at home".

SO put that in your pipe and smoke it, smarty pants!

  10. so you are thinking WC beats Hunt in round 2

Huntland?....Seriously......Yeah, WC going to beat em like a rented mule. Provided WC stays relatively healthy. If WC's 1st teamers play as hard as they did the 1st half of every game as they did against Clarksville Academy for Women (CAW), and get to rest the 2nd half of most games, then watch out come November.

I'm not bias as I'm a Nashville Christian School fan. I just call it the way it is. WC's got one of the best coaches in the State and some hard hitting dedicated players. A team goes deep in the playoffs with those factors.

  11. Talk about revisionist history.......

The district regular season title came down to a showdown with No. 2-ranked Nashville Christian in Nashville and for three quarters the game went back and forth despite the Academy not having a single player with major Division-I college-caliber players while Nashville Christian had three that are expected to sign scholarships with Southeastern Conference schools."

It was 45-14 with 3 minutes to go in the 3rd Quarter. Back and forth? LOL!

  12. Who is the CA coach??

He was a former girls middle school bowling coach and had some political connections with staff and alumni at CA. He attended a couple Tony Robbins' motivational seminars and bs'ed his way in the interview and the "brain trust" at CA, such that it is, was smitten. He's famous for developing a kickoff play where he sends three players to block the opposing team's kicker.

Oh yeah, he got some award last year for making his players wear a big pad over their helmets in practice. He is to great coaching, what potted meat is to filet mignon.

  13. Poor Monoptn, such thin skin for someone in the male species. As for the CPA, it's purely certified public accountant. I love CPA for the record. Ingle is a fantastic coach. He's right up there with George Quarles and Jeff Brothers.

It comes down to coaching. WC's coach is a 10, and CA's about a 2. Well maybe a 3 for making his players wear those funny practice thingees on their helmets......WC is going to hit CA hard in the first quarter and till the final bell. There won't be any "hold everything" announcements, after the first quarter.

Wayne is going to bring a lot of good Ole rowdy fans and it will be like a home game in Waynesboro North. Go Wildcats!

  14. I really like UC's field and facilities BUT  I enjoy visiting Columbia Academy much more. Who wants to drive to East Arkansas and get their heads bashed when you can go down to MuleTown and walk away with a win by half-time?

    And so it begins......Football 2015!
