  1. I was standing 15 feet from the play and I thought he scored but it was hard to see. I imagine the ref made the call he did  since he was right there but it looked like he hit the corner of the end zone from where I was standing.

    One of those games ..

  2. I was at the BA game last night - took them a while to get rolling but they are healthy and wade made some progress back.  Devyn Curtis is back as well which helped a lot.

I think they will need to mix it up more against Baylor. I would bring the throwing qb in from time to time and run wade in a wildcat from time to time as well.

ba was not at full strength against mba so hard game to compare. I don’t think the running back from Baylor will have as much success against ba but who knows - give him a small hole and he is gone. I imagine they may score more against ba but we shall see.

Jordan James is every bit the back he is just different:  he is not as fast but a Bruiser . If he keeps packing on muscle that kid will be 5’11 220  by time it’s over with.

You think it’s hard to tackle him now. I do believe he will go down as one of the best backs we have seen in the league since chandler / elder but we shall see.

next week it’s all on the line for BA so maybe they will step up since they are healthy and play with more energy.

i did see their D end went down. He is huge for BA so how he is okay.

why was Turners Schools loss to those scientoligist from Florida stunnin?........the roster of scientology ballers  outmatches the Blue tornadoes quite impressively....and the schedule they challenge far outways anything both of Chattanoogas bluebloods contest

...glad to see McCallie not runnin from the outta region challengers

    Booger just sayin

Correct !  - they have 13 D 1 Athletes on that team.  McCallie kept the score close.

Not anymore. For 2019, it's the top four of the six in II-AAA West and the top four of the six in II-AAA East who make the playoffs.

As the world turns - these last few weeks will be interesting

I see a few intriguing storylines playing out if McCallie enters the last game undefeated. This is looking ahead but interesting to ponder....

With BA possibly on the ropes do they rest their starters against Ensworth? It’s a log jam at the 1-2/ 2-1 mark in the Middle / East. It’s about as clear as mud

The West is pretty well sorted out

I agree bias plays a role but I think you could ask most people on this board and see I’m fairly accurate even with the bias. I think this year Baylor can play with and beat anyone on their schdule. Just like you feel the same about BA. So far his year Baylor has actually done so better than BA. I was correct on the Ensworth prediction and I barley missed the McCallie one. Anyone who actually saw that game knows Baylor could have won that game. So my analysis isn’t absurd or in left field. I’ve been a Baylor follower through connections to the school for the past five years. This is the first time since Ryan Parker’s senior year I’ve felt Baylor has had a chance to really do some damage. So far I’ve been correct. Losing to the states 1 team by a score with 40 seconds left in the game isn’t too shabby

Thanks for backing off the other factually incorrect and absurd statements. Let’s keep it to football, not a _____ measuring contest.

I watched the game - was a good one.

im not ready to crown anyone at this moment but B and M look great. Baylor has proven itself as a contender.

one of those teams is overdue but can’t rule out Memphis , Nashville trio or even KC this year at this point.

  6. Not personal at all. Just think you are a Chattanooga cheerleader that all.

people can never make clear analysis when they have a bias

I do not mind when BA loses.  Win or lose does not effect my analysis of them

Wow getting personal and making yourself look like a complete idiot in the process.

1st. I played at the FCS level in college (not that that magically means I know more or less than someone else who didn’t about D2AAA) but just responding to ignorant statement number 1.

2nd when I was at Webb we played in the largest classification of D2. Ensworth, MBA, Baylor, Father Ryan, McCallie we’re all on divisional schedule. Stop talking about things you don’t know about... you’re starting to look really stupid.

So that would make you nothing more than a BA cheerleader who is salty they lost to a previously winless team in the region while also being full of excuses for why you’re not undefeated?

Would you like to bet on McCallie not finishing the regular season undefeated in the region? Or do you want to keep acting like a child? If it’s the latter you can have this bro.

First rodeo is division 2AAA Hahahahahaha. Considering I played in the division and have covered it for the past 10 years I don’t think it’s my first rodeo but okay bud. I appreciate the attempt to act like you know me and belittle in the process. Get out of here with that garbage.

I could say the same about Baylor. One holding pentalty and dropped pass away from being undefeated. What If’s argument mean nothing

Considering Baylor will be ranked 2 in the east D2AAA going into the final stretch that means they are favored. I know this division as good as anyone. It’s the SEC of high school. Any team can beat any team especially this year except Father Ryan. Just because they are favored doesn’t mean they will win them all hints why I said no gimmes.

McCallie will easily run past father Ryan and if Ensworth couldn’t stop Baylors run Attack I don’t see them stopping McCallie. Therefore I stand by my statement that McCallie will finish the regular season undefeated. Want to bet on that one? (And I don’t even like McCallie, just speaking facts).

You played at Webb - not D2aaa

Many of us played beyond high school on here so not belittling you. Just think you are now biased Baylor and that may cloud your judgment a little

Being ranked 2nd does not make you a favorite and going undefeated does not mean you will win state in this division

there is no clear cut favorite  this year

It was a great game. McCallie will go 10-0 with the rest of their schedule being the weakest.

Baylor will be favored in the remaining games but none of them are gimmes besides Tyner.

     Catholic, MBA, and BA.

I don’t think Baylor is the favorite in any of them - this is your first rodeo in d2aaa - I admire you jumping on the bandwagon but the season is far from over for any of the teams

ba is one Bad quarter and 1 play away from being undefeated - Knox Catholic May be getting all their pieces together but this year is far from certain

McCallie is not a clear favorite either even if they go undefeated

every week produces some surprises and a little bit of a clearer pic of what we are dealing with. The only certainty is the playoffs will be fun. Heck ba may not even make it to the playoffs

  9. So two years ago I was leading the Big Games in a Memphis contest and would have won had I kept playing. I used cal preps to score every matchup

I’ll do the same here McCallie 35 -17

upsets happen especially in this league and this year who knows. I stick to my thought that BA is still the best team in D2 aaa at the end of the year provided they are healthy and continue to gel as a team

but it’s wide open. I just don’t know if Baylor can run on McCallie even without Hardy - I think Jordan James and the BA line is as good as any and McCallie did a great job on them.

BA had to mix it up - throwing 8 times may not be enough

    but who knows

I think with his absences Baylor will have more success running the ball. They won’t have to run away from Hardy which makes them very hard to stop.

I think Baylor only threw it about 8 times against Ensworth and otherwise lined it up and ran it down their throat. I do think hardys absense is worth 7 points for Baylor and keeps the playbook completely open.

What does this mean ? Are you saying Baylor wins or is the score MCCallie 35 Baylor 7 ?

In my opinion Henry County has had the toughest schedule to this point of any team in 5A. Had to play Haywood and Beech on the road and Brentwood at home

That is correct and the Brentwood game is looking better and better on the resume. Could easily be a 1 loss team. Not sure what happened in H game - fell apart in 2nd half.

HC is a very good team .

How has Gallatin not made it in? They’ve beaten a soon to be top 10 6a program and Hillsboro who was also in the top 5 in 5a earlier this season. Instead this poll wreaks of overrated Knox teams.

Yeah - Gallatin is absolutely up there and in my mind very high.  Crazy polls

  13. So after 5 weeks I feel okay with making a few assumptions.

    1. This is the most interesting and exciting D2 AAA in some time.

    2. BA and McCallie seem to be the two favorites but Baylor has elevated itself into the discussion now along with Briarcrest in Memphis. I am not writing off MUS either after one loss.

    3. MBA , Ensworth, Knox Catholic, CBHS could all win games and knock off teams under number 2.

    4. McCallie has showed me something this year so the next few weeks will be interesting.

    5. This is a fun year to be a fan in D2AAA.
