  13. Attention Wrestling Fans/Participants:

The KWOA Spring Classic scheduled for March 7 @ Central Hardin High School has been cancelled due to inclement weather.  The tournament will be rescheduled or April 25 at the same location.  Additional details regarding the rescheduling will be available at www.kyofficials.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience, however the safety of our student athletes, their families, and Central Hardin & the KWOA volunteers is of the utmost importance.  It was necessary that this decision be made as early as possible so those individuals with travel and lodging arrangements have adequate time to change their plans.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing all of you for a fun day of wrestling at the later and hopefully much warmer date.

    Garrett Pikul, Tournament Director

  17. I wanted to make mention of the 3rd Annual KWOA Spring Classic to be held on Saturday March 9, 2013 at Central Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, KY (1 hour north of Bowling Green, KY). This event has grown from 124 wrestlers in 2011 to 296 wrestlers in 2012.

This will once again be the first tournament in the 2013 Kentucky USA Wrestling Belt Series Tournament. This tournament is open to all wrestlers from Pee-wee through University level. This tournament is a good way for all wrestlers to begin their off-season. Many High School and Middle School brackets last year were stacked with talented wrestlers from Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, & Tennessee.

Remote weigh-in locations are being strongly encouraged for this year’s tournament.

Please view the KWOA website at www.kyofficials.com for a flyer and additional information. Contact me with any questions via e-mail at gpikul01@gmail.com.
