Powell has played West the last two years, and this years team is by far the best. The Powell team you mentioned is the team that went to state, so that says a lot about this West team

What will the excuse be when you don't? Everyone picked Gibbs because of the way they played you the first time (35-28 or so), and because you guys hadn't been playing very well. It's a pretty simple reason. The twins made great adjustments for the second game with Gibbs. You only get one shot at West, so my money is on them.

+1. The games with Powell the last two yrs were battles regardless of the final scores. I think West is much better this year then the last two or three yrs. If it is a short run, I see AC being the team that has a chance to do it, but still not sure.

How many do you have? Powell has 8 wins out of 11 games in the last three yrs. Not counting this yr, of course.

Didn't they score 28 against you the first time? Point is, you had a second shot against Gibbs to correct mistakes, or do things you learned the first time, Oak Ridge didn't. You only get one shot in the playoffs, so they better adjust to fixing big breakdowns/ mistakes on the fly. Now, the coaches did make great adjustments for the second game, but CC didn't play too well the first time around. The Price twins are great at preparing for a second game when they didn't play well in the first.

Nope. Not as good. They barely won a few of their games against not so good teams. Yes, I watched last night. They played an extremely sloppy first half. Doesn't matter either way, because the dream ends Friday. West is too talented this year.

CC isn't as good as their record. The fact they made it to 9-1 blows my mind. They do deserve the credit for getting here, regardless.

I'm for our district, but CC will get it come Friday. As far as AC, it was a scrimmage. Powell played both teams, and beat one of them by 14, the other beat them by 46. Trust me, it's a different world.

And Powell beat West last year, so that means Powell should've been able to beat Fulton, but Fulton KILLED Powell this year? Meaning...it's a new year. Come on, man. These comparisons to Fulton (this year) are silly. You guys are a good football team, just leave it at that.
