  1. With the announcement of Don Pitt leaving Greenfield, Who are the big names coming in? If the price is right, I've heard you could see State Championship coach Josh Puckett return home? If the town can find the right money, this could be the turning point for Greenfield football.

Both sides say the other started it, the game was chippy from the kickoff, Shelbyville incurred 3 unsportsmanlike penalties leading up to the "brawl" tempers were lost on both sides for sure, the incident that started the helmet being pulled off the Shelbyville player has not been shown and could not be seen on home sidelines because it happened on the FC sideline~ still no excuse for players on both sides! A FC player suffered broken ribs while being kicked on the ground, none of that was mentioned yesterday. The fact that Shelbyville is moving up to 6A and out of FC district means they will not be playing each other in the future. The blame game is useless from either side no matter the standings some kids made some huge mistakes that night and TSSAA is going with precedent from past fights in giving out punishment. FC is mainly a sophomore team so they did lose alot in this situation, hopefully both teams can persuade the TSSAA to drop the 2nd year ban next year

The unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were from a Kid sticking the ball out on a touchdown and 2 kids hugging after an interception return for a td. The part that is truly sick is the kid from FC that started the 42 second scrum(not a brawl) was not even ejected. This begs for me to question how the officials recollection of the events are even valid when the main offender was not identified. As far as precedent, 2018 Bruceton vs Mcwen had a bench clearing brawl that took over 10 minutes to clear, both were able to participate in the playoffs.

It’s one thing to put a beat down on a opposing team as payback . It’s a whole different thing to brag about it on the radio.

The comment was made because of 2 reasons. #1 at a city meeting, Bowling made the comment that LC must be good bc they finally scheduled us. He didn't know one of our faculty members were in the room or he didn't care.  #2 over the years when UC  would beat teams by 50 or 60, Paul would ask a million questions about UC and talk about how wonderful they were. It takes its toll. If when you are at your best, you show compassion for those teams that are weak and play your young guys. UC did not do that, so you will see LC run in the young guys against teams that they are superior too, but those that have left starters in just to run up the score, get ready for the pay back.

  5. it is very easy to call plays from the stands with zero pressure and when you don't see all the preparation for the game( I do it often on Saturday and Sunday with college and pro). In the last few minutes you take the risk with a 3rd string QB that has never taken a snap to beat you on the throw, kid made a heck of a play. Anyone that has ever coached a game at any level knows that there are plays you wish you could do over but what play do you do different. Go for it on 4th and goal from the 12? Now you are up 1 and a field goal beats you. Play back and give up everything short and allow them to get inside the 30 with 2 minutes left and give them 4-8 plays to score? Kick the ball deep instead of onside, but give up a kick return for a TD. Hindsight is 20-20

  6. Yeah, if an official is having trouble with the charge/block call to begin with, there's going to be some flopping and good acting jobs. On the other hand, some of them would have be legitimate without the acting. When it looks like bowling pins every time the big man gets the ball, well.....

On the other hand, it was really bad officiating both ways. Some of it may have had to do with style of play or size differential. I don't think either coach or either side of the gym was all that happy with the stripes they had that night. And supposedly an evaluator was there. He got an eyeful if he was.

The issue comes to the fact the tssaa officials answer to no one. Even when coaches, administrators and fans contact them about an official nothing is done. These guys now earn 85 bucks for about 3 hours work. The tssaa doesnt pay that fee. Its time for officials to be held responsible for bad games.

  7. all i know is dresden got lucky this yr. and its a shame the the made it all that way with all this hipe and talk over themselves and couldn't come out with out a point today and there is no excuse like they recrute in east tn. private schools telling you a crying shame

Posters like you are terrible. Yes they didnt win, but for you to tell these KIDS they were lucky and discredit the accomplishments you are sick. Maybe your team is better, if you are an fcs fan they were better. If you are from a team sitting at home. Jealousy is really ugly and its time to move on.
