  1. My apologies to Perry co on the "insult" I guess I would have taken offense as well lol. I thought I read somewhere that y'all were from west. So in that case hoping to see Perry and FCS in ship. But if this game continues like im hearing its going neither FCS or Mcewen has a shot. Good luck to everyone.

  2. What are you talking about?

From watching FCS handle us in Clarkrange in the region Chapmionship. They looked like 2 completely different teams last night against Grace. I believe if FCS comes out to play like they did in region and substate then they will handle Mcewen and move onto the ship. I also cant believe how poorly Grace played last night. I dont know if it was just the different gym or what but they looked awful. When we went down to Grace in substate them boys couldn't miss. They had 2 guys well over 20, last night they couldn't throw one in the ocean. Sad to see, knowing if they played like that Crange could've been in state. But hats off to all teams there and I hope to see FCS win the whole thing, maybe that'll shut up some of the "West TN is best talk". Even though Perry and Lake counties are excellent ball teams. Good luck to you guys today and in the ship!!!

  3. Like to know one thing why was CR fans sitting behind Grace bench to start trouble you all think you own 7A you do not own 7A you can not get past JC girl year in year out i do not like to come to CR to play because you all think you own the bottom part and turn the heat sky high to think it help remeber one thing who playing in the final on Sat. JC AND CLAY co. it 7A time and you are at home go BULLDOGS maybe next year time will tell

If you've ever seen Grace's gym then you know why Crange was sitting behind them. It is a very small gym. might be lucky to hold 400 people. There wasn't a choice but to sit behind their bench. Their gym is so small Clarkrange got one side of the gym and Grace got the other. I've seen many elementary schools bigger than that HS gym. I'm pretty sure this thread is the "boys" thread not the girls. Congrads to the lady devils and Bulldogs in the finals. But on the boys side, which is what this thread is about, I didn't see Jcounty or Clay make it past the second round of Region, looked to me like Crange made it farther than anyone in the district. And as far as the gym goes it is Clarkrange's home gym. They can turn the heat up as high as they possibly want to turn it up. Adn if you want to sit in the front then get there early. No one is stopping you from sitting anywhere in that gym but you better get there early enough for a seat. If not then have fun sitting in the top. And how does the heat not help? I'm pretty sure in their home gym the girls and boys both beat clay county. I'm pretty sure during the regular season the girls and boys swept clay county. the only time that Clay beat Clarkrange was district tourney on "girls" side, not boys. If you wanna talk crap about the girls then go to a girls thriead and do it. you have nothing to say about Clay boys being better than Crange boys on this thread!

  4. Clarkrange battled back from 7 down at halftime to take a 4 point lead late in the game but couldn't overcome a few turnovers at the end.

However, that being said, being at the game, I witnessed an event that should be brought to light. After the game, I was sitting directly behind the Grace bench when I felt water on the left side of my face. I turned to my left to see a Clarkrange fan in the stands shouting at an assistant coach of Grace (that was still on the court). Then after a few words, that assistant coach immediately jumped up in the stands and began punching the Clarkrange fan. (think Ron Artest situation a few years ago - Nov. 19, 2004)

I don't care what happened, if water was felt, a coach should not jump in the stands and attack a fan. The whole situation was being taped, so I hope the proper actions are taken.

Congratulations to Clarkrange on their season this year, and Grace for the win. This was a well played ball game, both teams left everything on the floor. As for the incident, it was an absolute disgrace to both schools and the sport in general. I dont care who's fault or who started what. It's ridiculous that anything like this happened. Fans should leave crap alone, why throw water? Clarkrange lost a close game to a good team. It jst blows my mind how immature some "adults" are. The coach should have never done anything either regardless of what was thrown. This should have never happened. I hope the proper actions are taken place by both sides of the situation and not just Grace's coach. Garbage like this is what gives schools and players a bad name. Those kids went out and played their heart and soul out for that ball team and their fans and their fans ruin their moment by showing their tails. I feel bad for the Crange and Grace ball players for having to witness that. Congradulations to Chad and Cody Henry and Jacob Masters for a wonderful 4 year career. We will definantly miss you guys. good luck to Grace in their run for the gold.

  5. What? Fans their to play?

Maybe you mean "fans there to see their team play." One would hope both teams would have plenty of fans. I'm sure Grace would love to have a bigger gym, but if the guys have earned the privilege of playing at home, it ought to be their home court. Fans will have to adjust and make do. Whoever makes it to state will have plenty of room for fans.

the only reason I asked about the gym is because 3-4 years ago Clarkrange traveled to Grace for a substate game and the game was heald at CSAS's gym. I did't know if it was going to be the same situation this year. I'm glad Grace gets to host their game in their own gym, they deserve it. But if it only holds 300 that could be a big problem. Clarkrange fans will travel well. They usually always do, and i'm very sure Grace will pack a crowd, as they should. It could easily get well over 300 peole there. and if some fans that drove 3 hours from Clarkrange is not able to get in it could end up a problem. Clarkrange girls went through the same situation 4 years ago when they hosted substate game and had too many people in the gym and a bunch of other mess and as far as I know they are still banned from hosting a substate game. But I dont care where the game is held I was just trying to find out so that I know where to get directions too. I'm not very familiar with Chattanooga so dont wanna be driving all over the place trying to find a school I'm not supposed to be at. But good luck to both teams tomorrow night. Hope for a good game.

  6. I agree. As I said earlier I thought the winner of crange and FC would ne headed to state. I believe FC will beat csas easily. I know pickett co played them toward end of season and won by 9. I also think crange has a great chance st going to the big dance. Of course its tough to travel bit the way they've been playing they are more than capable of beating grace

  7. Completely don't understand this. Last nights game was a 2 hour drive away on a school night. If you guys had been at the games at Macon County you would have seen a completely packed FCS side. Same with any of our other away games. When we played Watertown at Watertown many of our fans overflowed to the Watertown side. Basketball is completely NOT an after thought there. Love FCS or hate them, I would challenge anyone to see the drive in those boys and even remotely indicate that they are football and baseball players who are just "passing their time" between sports. You don't end your regular season at 23-2 with that sport being an "after thought".

I dont completely understand how the drive matters if you are a ball fan of the specific school? I know last year Clarkrange played Friendship in Watertown, which is around a 2 hour drive and Clarkrange fans still traveled very well. I'll admit that is a horrible drive regardless of which way you look at it. I guess its just me though. I wouldn't care what night during the week or where Crange were playing at, I would be traveling to the game, expecially it being such a big game in the region tournament! I'm not in all this FCS private vs public school mess. Dont really care about all that. I know FCS has an outstanding basketball team this year and Crange better show up to play ball. Good luck to both teams thursday night. I believe the winner of this game will be headed to the state tournament, and also believe that whoever loses has a really good chance in also going to state. The Chattanooga teams are not the same as they were last year and the years before. The 2 upsets last night eliminated the top 2 teams in that region. But again good luck to everyone thursday night. Hope to see a good ball game.

  8. I would love to see Crange and FCS playing in the state tournament, I can't remember the last time 2 teams from region 4 both went to the state tournament.

I believe it could happen. Crange played Grace in the summer, granted that was a very long time ago, and lost by 1. I believe whichever team hosts the substate will win. But do also think the traveling team has a legitimate chance at winning and advancing as well. Both FCS and Crange played great ball tonight, and if they play like that against any team in the other region they can win the game.

  9. The second quarter killed Watertown and to me it's what done them in for the game. I could be wrong, but I believe Crange held Watertown without a point in the 2nd quarter. Watertown fought back and made it a game, but it was just too much to come back from. Congrats to Crange and FCS on making it to the region championship!

Your right. the second quarter was a disaster all the way around for watertown. It's hard to come back from that kind of deficit in a tournament game. Watertown scored 2 points in the second quarter. they had 7 at half, which wont win against a good team. I stayed for most the FCS game until it got too out of hand. They played a dominating game and basically had it under control the whole game. Hopefully the same Clarkrange team shows up thursday that showed up tonight. I seen in region 3 that there were 2 upsets. CSAS beat Lookout and Grace beat Van Beauren. both games were by 10 points. could make for an interesting substate matchups for FCS and Crange!

  10. What time does JC play Saturday?

according to the TSSAA website all the region games are 7:00pm local time. I had to see what days the semi's and finals in region were and it mentioned saturday's games being at 7

  11. This can be a great region tournament. I believe there are good matchup to start. Watertown has beat PC three times so that will be interesting. I believe FCS is still favored but think clay matches up well with them. Clarkrange, if they come to play, should have best chances of advancing past round one. And gordonsville and Jcounty will be really close with Jcounty playing awesome recently. Might as well throw my pics in the mix.

    Clay upsets FCS

Watertown beats PC in close game

Clarkrange beats trousdale by double digits

Jcounty beats gordonsville in close game

  12. Im not 100%I sure on the whole ban thing. I know the girls were banned because of the undefeated season when they hosted a substate. The gym was full 3 hours before the game started and visitors had no where to sit. Basically had to make people move, which understandably could be fire hazard, etc. Crange is a very small gym for girls to usually host region/substate games and it should be fixed and made larger. I just know for some reason it didn't apply to boys since they hosted RBS last yr in region so it may just be substate but I really don't know.

  13. I dint think it would happen either crange prolly play freshman and still win the game. Jackson might have been in district finals but its not always been this district. They were a AA school not too many years ago. Like 5 or 6 maybe. But regardless that's pretty good if they have done that even in AA

  14. Id hate to see this happen and it would be a disgrace if it did but just for the sake of argument is there any thought that clarkrange throws tonights game? If rogers knows the only way for him to get to substate or state is to not see jcounty. Are there any way whatsoever they lose to Monterey so they get in a bracket with clay (a team they have beat 2 times this year) versus Jcounty a team they ain't beat in a couple years. Again id hate to see that, its bad sportsmanship but just for arguments sake

  15. I hate to say this but after reviewing the regional brackets i'm afraid this is the third year in a row that the ladies are doomed yet again.. The loss to clay county in the district was the start to the end of the road.. Good luck next season... I truly hope i'm wrong though but don' think i am....

Your probably right. Barring a drastic upset and JCounty somehow forgets they have a game the day they host the first round and they lose then Clarkrange meets JCounty in second round and I do not see CRange beating JCounty. It can happen but I dont see it.

  16. Didn't TC be JC in the rematch at JC? I would think that FC and Gordonsville would be much improved over their early season games with the football players getting a season of experience. I would think the top 3 from district 7 will have to play well to win.

Can Clarkrange host 1st round of region?

Yes Clarkrange can host a region game. The "girls" were banned from hosting but that ended this year, which it dont matter cause they got to travel anyways. The boys were never banned from hosting a region game. They hosted Red Boiling Springs in Region tournament last year, but the girls had to travel to trousdale Co.

  17. Ill agree that pc and clay will probably not make ut past first round. I've never been to FC but Watertown is horrible gym to travel to. Seems like forever to get to from our area. The other games should ne interesting matchuos. But that's why they play the game. If crange is shooting the ball like they have been and playing D like they have been they can compete with anyone, but they live and die by the three. If they are off they have no chance in beating FC or Watertown.

  18. Ill give ya Watertown and FC best reams in region but I don't see a big difference in any otherof team left. It will be very hard for any non districtball team to go to clarkrange and Jcounty and win, granted it can happen, but not easy. I also think district 7 holds a slight advantage with region at Livingston since they have been playing there all week. May not be big enough advantage to win but anything helps. It'll be interesting to watch it pan out

  19. Clarkrange is no where as good as everyone is thinking. They have a decent enough team to gave finished second in district but so did clay and it showed who was better team when mattered. Clarkrange does not have that dominant player that can take over a game like clay does and jackson has 2 or 3 that can dominate a game. They are a decent team if they play good ball they can finish 2nd in the region but that's it. They can't beat jackson. They haven't beaten jackson since the undefeated season. You say they haven't gotten it figured out? Its the end of the season and they ain't figured it out yet. They lost to clay so obviously still don't have it figured out. The district is a lil tougher than years past.
