  1. Anyone who plays Unicoi will get screwed! They don't let their playing decide games, they rely on it getting dark "just in time" and their fans throwing rocks on the field to the opposing players. And anyone who argues with me is a liar, I've witnessed it. Good luck PF, but if Unicoi gets to play their way, then you won't have a chance.

  2. It's nice to have 2 and 3, maybe even 4 pitchers on hand. But I've seen teams do it, and do it well with 1. It's the condition in which your pitcher is in. If her arm is conditioned well, then there should be no reason she couldn't carry you the entire season if she's good.

  3. To me it sounds like she's overrated.  If she is so good and going to all these camps and all these things how is she only going to tennessee tech?  They make her sound like she's going to start on Tenn. or LSU next year.

Meagan Lyons is someone who you can't do justice on a "message board". She's one of those players who is not one dimensional in any shape or form. She's quick, can jump, rebound, dribble, penetrate, dish, steal...etc. Call her "overrated" if you want, but wouldn't that be pretty stupid, considering you've never seen her play. I find it odd that so many people would have the same opinion about her. And another great thing about Meagan, you couldn't find someone who is less-selfish that her. She is the real deal. We'll just have to see how overrated she is tomorrow night.

  4. ok that is just one person!!!!

HELLO it takes a team to win not just one person and i bet one thing that Greeneville dont have is depth on the bench!!!

just like i said early we will see u in the boro

I find that to be hilarious!!

The thought that Greeneville doesn't have any depth. They only have the strongest 5 and support cast in Tennessee. When you stop Megan, then you gotta stop Nakeisha Manuel. When that happens, Lauren Anderson is gonna burn you with a three. After you deny those three, Rachel Collins pulls a jumper at the free-throw line. Then who's left to guard Sienna Forney's penetration. Dyersburg may be good and may have depth. But to say Greeneville has a lack of it, is absolutely ludacris. And how could I forget Whitney Carter who is an increadible spot shooter. .....Now to me, that sounds like a little more than one person! :P

  5. On a previous thread some of us were talking about Manuel. Kiasha is more than capable of doing spectacular things on any given night. One problem with that! That's if she's in the right mood, and the "Spirit" possesses her to somehow play hard. Kiasha has be equipped to be one of the best post players in TN. If she can continue to play hard (like she has the past 3 or 4 games) then Greeneville has a very legitimate chance at a gold ball. Their success right now lies on her shoulders. If she plays well, I could see them giving Mt. Juliet a hard time. But first, before we start getting carried away, they have to beat Dyersburg!

    Go Greene!!

  6. Ok, just because they lose one game doesn't mean that this is going to become something they become used to. Don't expect this at all!

Mt. Juliet won't lose again this season........

No one will come within single digits of them again, just a prediction, but I believe this is a fairly accurate one.

  7. The most important thing if Oliver Springs wants to win this game is a question of if they can match the physical play in the paint and keep Elizabethton off their backs and not get tied up. OS needs to go into the game knowing that Redd (45), their point guard, will play very physical on the outside as well. She will throw elbows during dead balls and will leap on anyone to get a loose ball and most of the time will not be called for a foul. OS: Do not let the officals get the best you. They will not call a good ball game and the fans will feel they are very one sided. Oliver Springs must keep their heads straight and not show any negative emotion. Crapps (21) can shoot lights out from beyond the arc if she is set. Hopson (25) was not very impressive. Just mainly a role player. Help off of her. Make her beat you. Rikki can go left and right but can not go nearly as hard to her left. She picks up a bunch of garbage just by being in the right place at the right time (and she does this well). The big girl inside gets upset very easily if she is called for a foul or is fouled hard herself. Be physical with her BEFORE she gets the ball because once she gets the ball they will call a foul if she puts it up.Good luck to both teams. May the best team win.

I see nothing wrong with that quote. They simply stated that Redd threw some elbows during dead balls (which I saw), but never said anything was done maliciously. That's just being a tough, physical player. And Redd is exactly that. i don't think Diamond meant it in a bad way.... Am I right?

  8. Yeah, it is definitely no coincidence that Greeneville had never hosted a substate game in the school's history and now in only Lynn Burkey's second year the lady devils will be hosting their second straight substate game.  I was at the game last night and it dawned on me that how far Greeneville goes in the tournament does not depend on Lyons.  You are going to get her best effort every single night, it became very obvious that the success of this team revolves around Manuel, the devils will go as far as she wants to take them.  Late in the game last night Ashley Huff was starting to heat up so Burkey finally decided to put Manuel on her devensively and she shut her down, to me (the average fan) that is what pulled out the game last night.  If Manuel gives even 75% the rest of the way the lady devils could set up a date with Mt. Juliet.  I am in no way trying to take anything away from Lyons, it is just that you know she will do whatever it takes, it is Manuel that is the X factor.

I agree that most of Greeneville's success depends on Manuel. But there's only one problem in that. She doesn't always want to play. There's times that you can tell that she doesn't even want to be out there. When she plays to her capabilities it's a beautiful thing, but Nakeisha doesn't always give a consistent effort night in and night out. You can always depend on Megan to give star effort, but Nakeisha is like flipping a coin. Let's just hope for Greeneville's sake that Nakeisha deceides to play tomorrrow!! Good Luck Devils! Make Greene County Proud!

  9. Austin East is a tough place to play. Be ready, I'd like to see both Pigeon Forge and Elizabethton make it to state! Hey, who knows, you might end up playing again!

PF be focused Sat. Austin East is a different would ( wonderful environment ) but nothing you're used to. Just be focused and play your game. I have no doubt that you're more than capable of surpassing the roadrunners!!!

Elizabethton: All I have to say is, don't you have something to settle from last year? Take care of business!!!
