I believe Clarksville will be tough in the heavier weights and will definitely make some noise this year. Good luck to you And your boys this year coach.

I heard from a good source that clarksville's state champion from last year will not wrestle this year

I think Williams from Clarksville wins it all and Fernandez from Ravenwood is my dark horse.

I think it comes down to buckman and williams and williams wins it

buckman will win a close match in the semis beating wailing

wailing wins a close one over gibson for 3rd

    1st williams

    2nd buckman

    3rd wailing

    4th gibson

  5. Attention all Nashville area teams and clubs (including Murfreesboro,Shelbyville and Tullahoma )  you have a friend at Krispy Kreme in Smyrna, TN. Krispy Kreme offers a great fundraising program that allows your team to keep up to 50% of the money that they raise. There are many options available, from pre-selling dozens or certificates to buying dozens and selling them at your tournaments. They offer coupons for 25 free dozens with orders of 300 dozen or more. Call and talk to Trish at 615-355-9997. She and her family have been in the local wrestling community for many years now and she will be happy to work with you to help your team  to make sure that the wrestlers are motivated and the process is simple and easy.

  6. Ok so here are my upset pick

First 132 henrey wins (not sure its a true upset but #2seed beats #1)

I also agree this is best match.

O W will be Rippy at 152 even though my pick for low seed winning is Samborski at160

  7. We already know who is gonna win abt 1/2 of these wgt classes but 32, 60, and 82 look like we will get to see some great matchups in the finals and even the semis as well in the 132lb class.

I know its wrestling and we need to step on the mat but barring something bizarre i really think the only weight classes up for grabs are  126 132 160 170 and 220

126 i think either plumlee or pergande could win it

132 again either of the top two could take it depending on the day they have

160 i think is totally up for grabs i wouldn't rule out any of the top 3 i have seen samborski come from his back to pin some very tallented kids

  8. if y'all are in Shelbyville I know Coach Blosser started a program there too before he moved to Springfield.

ok well we are in normandy which is right between  shelbyville and tullahoma  my email is coyotewrestlingclub@yahoo.com. my phone is 9315392620  i am willing to hep on any level

  9. Dave Isbell is doing great things with team Clarksville. he is insuring that not only will Clarksville high be on top of the podium again within the next few years but the level of competition coming from the Clarksville area in general will be elevated! And as for coach Badon He is one of the finest technical and ethical coaches in the state.

  10. I've been to hundreds of major tournaments and I've yet to see ANY major tournament without a check scale and without a challenge scale (usually the check scale is one of the challenge scales). Of course I wasn't there and don't know if the Region tournament was an exception and also don't know if maybe he was stuck in traffic or got to the weighins at the last minute. But it is a shame as he surely would've been competing for a state championship (provided he made weight for the next 3 weighins)

just so everyone knows there was a scale open in the locker room  before weigh ins. there was two scales and the challenge scale was close to 1/2 pound lighter . he was .1pound over on the challenge scale

  11. Quite the year my Irish are having. Spanked Wilson Central, then bear Cleveland/Bradley/Baylor in the same weekend (without a full lineup). Followed that up this week by beating Baylor/McCallie/MBA within 48 hours of each other. Coach Simpson has put together a heckuva squad this year

its amazing what money can buy.

  12. Who do we see at the top of region 7

I have been away from it this year and dont know everyones weight but here are some guesses

    106 sesnan shelton and palmer

    113 kost

120 not sure if there is any real strength here or not

126 i would watch for whiters

    132 king and helm

    138 martinez gonzales berta

    145 rippy

    152gonzolas if he can drop?

    160

    170 smith and linton

    182 rippy

    195 cornellius
