Pretty d$$n accurate prediction.

I think Hillsboro gave some teams a solid blueprint on what to do against Indy.. Idk if anyone left has what Hillsboro has on offense and defense on the same team. I thought the Hillsboro/Indy game was for the state title & I stick to my opinion there..
Centennial doesn't have the firepower on O to hang with Indy... 49-14 Indy..
-
Looks like the championship game was played last week with HHS ...28-20.
-
28-24 Burros
Only one on this board who came closest to calling this game. If HHS had a kicker and punter,.......who knows.
-
Good board! I say if HHS stops Beech's run game, game over. Whatever happens, hope all players have a strong and safe game and good luck in the next round as well.
-
BT Mafia, spot on! There was a push to basically make FHS Grassland High. They got what they wanted. We just have no speed. Could be a long season for us. Can't coach speed. Is what it is.

What does highlife have to do with what I stated.
Your comment regarding Lopez. Im sure you can connect the dots. Been around a longtime and became a fan of Craig. Followed him over to HHS when he got shafted by the principal (no need to argue about it cause i know there is another side). I also know some of the admin at HHS way before Craig came over and just surprised that you suggested That Lopez is Shraders pick but maybe you are just givin your opinion what you think might happen. I doubt anyone has even considered a new HC for HHS. But maybe you are in the know. U saying Craig is leavin??

Metro is a great place to coach. I have no regrets. No,Metro does not have many of the things private or out lying counties have, but the rewards of working with metro kids is reward enough. The relationships developed with these young men is beyond measure. The obstacles of coaching in Metro is very rewarding also. To overcome lack of boosters, community support, having to care for fields, lining them also, raising money for program, taking kids home, and I am sure others is something that many coaches can't do or not willing. Winning tastes very sweet when done with the work that comes with it. To beat a private school or out lying county school is a priceless experience. I am sure it is nice to just coach and not have to deal with the obstacles with coaching in Metro. If that is what you like then good for you. That is why it takes a special person and coach to work in Metro. Also, why many coaches outside never apply for a Metro job. I do agree that color has nothing to do with relationships with players,it about letting them know they come first and everything done is for them. My last year at Antioch we have 75 players doing things year round, winter workouts after school, spring ball, summer workouts and then season. No one could come out or play if they did not do these. At the end of the season we still had the same 75. They knew we cared. That is the bottom line.
Well stated runtheball. Anyway, the privates have their own misery having to deal with each private cannibalizing the other. And then hiding in the weeds from Ensworth. Lol.

I don't know. He would be my choice if he wanted it. If Schrader is there I would say yes. If Schrader leaves then who knows.
Lololol. Is there a budding bromance between you and HighLife??

Sometimes, we just need to keep it all in perspective...

If I remember correctly, I don't believe Hillsboro had UT commit Perry for that game. Would've, could've, should've...the last score was a gimme for Rossview. Everyone was ready to go home. Even so, I think they have improved since then as has a number of other teams.
-
If I remember correctly, Rossview was down 35 to McGavock at Half. The six suspended kids were put in and 41 points went up very quickly. Johnson kid ran for 234 second half . Got my attention!
-
Guess they don't have to impress you lol. Pretty sure that anyone that goes through a season undefeated has some chops and deserves some respect. What team are you riding??
-
Watched Hillsboro las night and I reall jus don't think they're as good as thee record. I think if you put them in any of the surrounding districts they have 3+ losses. They have a lot of athletes but u ain't impressed with the team.
-
Wonder what UT did to this one fella that he has such hate for the Orange.
-
Great thread! Enjoyed reading. Good luck to all these teams next year.
-
I doubt a non Metro coach could handle the culture shock and real world limitations associated with most Metro programs.
-
I think this game is almost too close to call. Early I would have said overton but Indy is coming on at the right time. I hope Overton pulls it out but it could go either way.
Spot on!
-
NR. Take a deep breath there fella. You're hyperventilating. No one has disparaged Oakland. Excellent team. The point is Overton had quality wins this season.
You 7 AAAers actually believe your own press. This talk that you are the SEC of the TSSAA is really hilarious. Last time I checked, the SEC dominates championships....7AAA, um, welllll.
With the added obstacles Metro coaches face, it is tough and Coach Anderson and his staff and other Metro staffs are to be commended for making to the playoffs.
Guess what? Oakland and Overton may have a chance to play for it all (assuming Oakland hasnt peaked) JOKIN!! Lol.
I dont mind posters beating their chests but beatin down other teams, welllllll, makes you look like a kid sneakin on the board and who knows, maybe you are.
-
It is just hilarious these 7AAA groupies bleat about their prowness and i never see them in the finals lately. In a couple of years 7AAA will be irrelevant from a talent pool considerably spread thin and heaven help you if for whatever reason some top flight privates anchored down in the Boro. Rankin certainly saw it comin. You will too.
-
Guess that would've, could've, should've with Overton applies to Ravenwood squeaker one point wins with franklin and brentwood and heck 3 point wins with Lavergne and Centennial.
Overton did what it needed to do to beat Ravenwood.
-
BTW, Oakland is strong but the others....hmmmm, they just might struggle in another region. Guess that is why we have the playoffs.
-
7AAA makes me chuckle. Apparently, they are not good enough to rest on their own laurels, they have to tear down other schools around them.
Come back when you finally win a trophy lol. And you better do it soon because in a few years you will suffer the same fate as 11AAA, waterdowned talent from so many high schools.
5A state title game sevier vs Indy..
in Class 5A & Class 6A

So true. HHS actually had its opportunities. Indy is the best. HHS and CHS follow THEN SCHS.
