  1. Is Campbell a Junior ?   He is one of the smoothest players I have seen in a long time.   Trinity fan and look for us to improve after the first of the year, but as a basketball fan, I have to say I just flat enjoy watching Campbell play.

  2. Middleton will be mâking some noise this year look for Burkley to get them țo the Glass house this year.

Jackson Christian beats Middleton last night - surprising, but think JC may be better than thought.   Trinity played Union City to within 3 or 5 points over Thanksgiving (know they are not full strength).   15A may be more interesting than first thought.

  3. I'm not taking anything away from Middleton's basketball program, that have had a lot of trips to the Murphy Center but Perry County has the best tradition then any small town in this state and possibly country. We have the most appearances in the State Tournament, tied with Montgomery Bell Academy (Division two), and Bolton (triple A) with six State Championships, and our gym, that is probably the biggest in Class A, couldn't even hold all the District, Region, Sub-State, and State Banners as you see in a lot of gyms. The only banners we have hanging are our six state championships, that my friends is called getting it done and we might be small down on the farm but we were good year after year.

For some reason now, I am thinking about the price of eggs in China.........

  4. yes butchie we might take turns logging in and out but you seem to be taking logs...... oh I digress.

I have been looking at the playoff picture preliminarily and ole Butchies Rebels could end up in the same quad with the Cardinals.  Love nothing more than to beat up on the rebels lol

that is granted that you guys actually make the playoffs which I think you will do

Have to say that I would love it if the Rebels and Cards ended up playing each other in the playoffs----oh, I could care less about the game but the topic thread would be absolutely hilarious !

  5. Congrats to TCA but you are tied with Jackson Christian and DC Riverside with one district win each. You are not at the top of 15A yet.

Any of the 3 would be new since Adamsville has had a strangle hold of it for past few years, but in all reality this was the game for the regular season championship.   We will meet again and can only hope for as good a game - and injury free !   This game is what Friday nights are all about - two teams on top of their game and leaving it all on the field.

  6. I don't know that I would call your first 3 games "Murderers Row." I would say that your entire schedule is a "Killer." Who in the world made this schedule out? I am not sure he likes the program vey well. TCA will be much better, with good athletes, but still young in areas and not much depth. Best of luck.

Exactly...schedule does not get any easier the next week with South Gibson and season ends at ECS....Non District schedule of St George, USJ, and ECS - three of the top premier Div II schools in the state and throw in now AAA ? South Gibson. The old "what don't kill you makes you stronger" is sure in play this year ----- should be fun !

  7. .our teams have great support down here for the most part, fans from most schools we play have good crowds, and we (Scotts hill) will pack your gym anywhere we play...it is somewhat embarassing to me however that the middle and east threads on here rack up the pages while any 15A thread usually depends on fans (or trolls) from other district's to keep us on the front page for more than a day or two.Makes it look like to the rest of the state that nobody cares, you know the old saying "bad press is better than no press".

I agree, Trader. Not one word on here about Madison today. Being from 15A also (TCA), think if they put 4 quarters together, they are going to be a tough out. Have seen them play 4 or 5 times this year and have a tendency to sit out a quarter - if they do that, they will be out after today----having said that, they have the tools to make a run. I picked them to win Region before it started and they did. (Enjoyed seeing your girls play this year)

Madison may win this game but it won't be because of the goals or the arena. I think you greatly overestimate that advantage. LC's starters have played in Murfreesboro, UT Martin, Bethel, and other large venues. I would be more concerned about the fact that Madison hasn't been able to beat LC in a substate game, and the beatdown at Liberty was legendary last year. I just figured Madison was 0-2 against LC in substate games so they decided to try their luck at a different location. If Madison wins it will be because they play an outstanding game, not because of the goals they are shooting on. Not trying to sound cocky but the fact you put the word "huge" in front of advantage is a little much. This is not a young Lake County team who will be intimidated by anything, they are all seasoned veterans with plenty of state tourney experience with the exception of our freshman. Good luck to both teams and hoping for a repeat of last year's substate performance and a trip back to the boro!

16 point win by Madison tonight.....not sure if it is "huge" but it's pretty danged big.

Looks like they did have better "luck" playing at Oman.

Ok it has been "huge" for everyone else. Sure that they did not move to Oman this year for "luck" against Lake County. Not trying to sound cocky.....

  10. So Lake Co-Madison will be at Oman Arean instead of Liberty.?Why you think they would have a huge advantage at Oman and maybe not somewhere else?Just curious.

Madison has played all of their home games this year at Oman which is on their campus and I think it is great. The advantage comes from playing in an open type arena with goals sitting in middle of floor and not against walls as in most high school gyms. The depth perception for shooters is drastically different and in most cases gives Madison an advantage. However, it is a great venue to play high school ball..
