Being a Wilson Co basketball fan it is hard to hear how Oakland advanced. The two players mentioned grew up in Wilson County schools. Abby Wright played at Lebanon and Shelby would be at Wilson Central. Nothing illegal about what was done, but it does show that if you are not participating in the "legal transfer" game, it is hard to compete at the highest level. High school girls basketball has become more like an AAU tournament. MJ's two best players came from Cane Ridge and played with AAU with a former MJ player.

Yeah and blackmans MeMe came from Mt. Juliet. I'm tired of hearing about people transferring and that's the only reasons teams win. Transferring is apart of it and always will be so everyone needs to get over it because Highschool athletes want to play at the highest level.

I have watched Oakland play 2 scrimmages so far and for a team that graduated 13 seniors, they look really good. They have won both scrimmages. Putting up 20 runs against Wilson Central and 3 runs in 3 innings against Aj Franklin and then through 7 inning agaisnt Hendersonville they were up 9-4. This team might be young but you better watch out.

The Lady Patriots will travel to White County Monday. I think the Lady Patriots will take this one if they can keep Shelby Gibson out of foul trouble.
